  1. I'm going to do some more reading on the subject. Who knows? I might get bored this weekend. And, I do have some extra speaker wire sitting in my box of wiring and cables......hmmmmm.
  2. Thanks Youthman. Just wanted to see if it was worth the time and effort. I may just leave it alone. It sounds great regardless.
  3. I was reading through my Denon AVR-1911 manual this morning. It says I can use the surround back channels to bi-amp the front L/R. Do y'all think it will be of any benefit to do this with my setup? Pros and cons. Thanks guys!
  4. Ditto on the RC62II. Just got mine and it's awesome. I've always had great luck with Denon. The 4520 would be a great investment.
  5. After spending the weekend sampling 2ch music and movies in surround. I'm going to have to say that I'm most pleased with the new center. I was really having problems hearing dialogue in movies. The RC-62 is a huge improvement over the old SC-1 center.
  6. I'm sitting in the sweet spot right now with a beer. My night is usually Friday. But, it can happen anytime the mood stikes.
  7. All I can say is, I'm in love with this setup. Sampling Pink Floyd "The Endless River". It feels like I'm inside the sound coming from them. A very rich, enveloping experience I guess is how I would describe it. So glad I made the leap and purchased them.
  8. I'm going to do some rearranging soon!
  9. Got them home! Center in place. Left side. The front three! Now.....poppin a top and enjoying the sweet sound!!!
  10. I'll put reminders in my phone. Good tip! Thanks!I'm going to be sitting in the sweet spot all weekend. I'll post more pics from the apartment later this evening.
  11. I'm planning on "pissing off the neighbors." You can count on it!
  12. I wish I could!!! But, I have to stay til quitting time.
  13. Some of the goodies showed up at my office. The RF-62's had the address wrong. So, I put a hold on them and will pick them up after work at UPS. Can't wait to get them hooked up!!! Feel like a kid on Christmas morning.
  14. Interstellar. The movie was a wierd one!!!
  15. I finally upgraded my 5.1 setup to all Reference speakers!!! I have had a thrown together setup for a long time. It consisted of KG-3.2's with Crites updates for the Main L/R, an SC-1 center, RW-8 sub, and KSB-1.1's for the surrounds. For the new setup, I kept the RW-8 sub with plans to upgrade that later. New RF-62 II's, RC-62 II center, and RB-51 II's for surrounds. The RB-51 II's have been in my bedroom for a 2 Channel setup for listening to music. The KG3.2's will be moved to the bedroom for me, and the other speakers I'm giving to my 12 year old daughter to put in her room. I'm Really excited to hear how the new system sounds. I'm living in an apartment right now (divorce). So, really cranking it is not going to happen soon. But, I'm looking for a new home. So, hopefully, I'll be able to put them through their paces soon enough. Really enjoy reading everything here. I've learned a great deal just form reading all of your informative and entertaing post. I'll post some pics as soon as I get the new speakers home!
  16. Ordered me a pair of RF-62 II's and an RC-62 II to go with my RB-51 II"s. Of course the RF's will be replacing my KG 3.2's as the Mains. And the RC will replace my SC-1 center channel. The RB's will replace my old KSB-1.1's I've been using as surrounds. All the old speakers will go to my bedroom system. Really excited to have an all Reference system in my living room.
  17. Just curious as to how difficult doing the crossover and diaphragm replacement really is. I'm fairly handy with tools. My KG 3.2's are nearing 20 years old. Should I go ahead and invest in these upgrades? They still sound good to me, but I wonder if they are in need of the upgrade. Is it difficult to do? Thanks
