  1. Great price. No affiliation http://www.avsforum.com/forum/209-audio-gear/#/topics/2604153?_k=2q8xgn
  2. There's been a single chorus speaker listed on eBay for a while. Price is pretty reasonable. If you can get him to ship it overseas might not be a bad deal. https://www.ebay.com/itm/262657020920
  3. Great deal for local pick up https://www.ebay.com/itm/201680168593
  4. The RF-83's are black. I would consider selling. Price would be $1,000. Depending on your location I do travel around the Tristate quite often.
  5. They look like Infinity kappa 8's but the emblem on the grill doesn't look right. So maybe something totally different. It kills me that people can ask a couple grand for for speakers this old and give virtually no information. If the price is for both pair, and those are kappas, you could probably get a grand for them. Parting them out even more.
  6. Im right over the bridge in Staten Island if you're still interested then. I haven't listed them for sale anywhere. I like buying speakers, not selling lol
  7. I've got a mint pair of RF-83's stored away along with a ton of other speakers. I was planning on buying another house with a large basement for my audio room. Unfortunately that doesn't look like it's happening any time soon. I've been debating selling off some stuff. The problem is I live in NY and don't have the original boxes.

There's been a single listed on eBay for quite a while. Maybe he's wiling to deal. https://www.ebay.com/itm/152087125300
  9. Not looking to argue, just curious about the minimum recommended dimensions (ballpark). I'm sorry. I took that the wrong way. Both times I heard the Palladiums they were in a big open space. Since I've never personally owned them, I feel there's others on this forum that would give you a more accurate answer if you're considering them for yourself.
  10. I'm not going to argue. You know there's no simple answer for that. I have heard the P39's and liked them. They're massive though. It reminds me of when I bought RF-83's for a bedroom system. They never sounded right. I pulled them out to sell. Hooked them up to my listening room where I could get them away from the walls. I got far enough away from them and couldn't believe I was hearing the same speaker. They're still in storage in my collection. The P39's are nearly 25" deep. They've got those beautiful massive ports on the back. They sound fantastic when given they're room to breathe. You've got to go with what works for you're setup. I've had some very high end stuff that people raved about that just didn't work in my system. Everyone has they're personal preference. They don't work in his room. Now someone with a more compatible listening room can jump on this great deal.
  11. sorry I think you're doing the right thing. I've had speakers that were too big for a room. You can make it better, but they'll never be right. The Joseph's are great speakers and work in your room. Luckily you bought the Palladiums right
  12. I like that idea. There's actually quite a bit of forums that aren't even audio related that their classified section is restricted to members only.
  13. I've also bought from accessories4less and service was great. Everything looked like new. I wonder if some of it is new stuff they're marking as refurb to blow out at wholesale prices.
  14. It might just be the picture, but that looks smaller than a 15" to me.
  15. Lol sorry it was late at night. Newegg has them http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?sdtid=8630062&SID=ad440e04f8b711e5aa24466a4853223d0INT&AID=10440897&PID=1225267&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-cables-_-na-_-na&itemnumber=0S6-0033-001X8
  16. I don't know much about these, but seems like a good deal for anyone looking to go in wall/ceiling. It says MSRP 999 http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?sdtid=8630062&SID=ad440e04f8b711e5aa24466a4853223d0INT&AID=10440897&PID=1225267&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-cables-_-na-_-na&itemnumber=0S6-0033-001X8
  17. It all comes down to your personal preference. What sounds good to me, you might not like. Every brand you mentioned has good models. They also have models that weren't so good. I'd continue to research and find what's a good fit for you. The ones I'd recommend I couldn't find in your price range. There's a lot more options if you stretch your budget a little. Maybe save up a little more. A lot of us change up gear so much just to get something that sounds different. You might also want to research shipping from the UK. I've heard of people getting hit with import charges. Also if there's a problem, it's going to be a bad time. That's why I refuse to buy or ship over seas. Saving a few bucks isn't worth the headache that usually goes along with it. Shipping old receivers is dicey enough locally.
  18. There's not a lot in that price range. Keep an eye on your local Craigslist. These look decent Yamaha https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/322035193131 Denon https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/131764450342

I'm guessing you don't have kids? Lol My kids were always we'll behaved but my ex's daughter put her foot through my Velodyne 18. I'm always shocked at how some people just don't take care of things. There was a link on Audiogon years ago and people submitted pictures and stories of the damage kids did to their equipment. It was hysterical and sad at the same time. Great deal. I'd be all over that if I was local
  20. That doesn't look too bad. I've had a drill slip and go through surrounds. I'd try something like this http://www.parts-express.com/black-rubber-cement-speaker-repair-glue-1-oz-bottle--340-078 Something like that should do it. It's cheap and will look better than a dented cone. Set some alerts for RF-7 drivers. If you find a good deal pick it up.
  21. I've used them. For the money, you can't beat them.
  22. I see this all the time. They target the B&W 800 and 802's constantly. It is 100% a scam. They usually hack into a legitimate account with positive feedback. Then they try to make a deal outside of eBay. You'd think what's the point, who'd be stupid enough to fall for it. Well.. Years ago my sister was looking to buy a pinball machine for her son. She negotiated a deal with a guy. She ended up asking friends if anyone else was interested, since it was around Christmas. Two other people went in. She was buying 3 pinball machines now for $12,000. Long story short.. Apparently who she was dealing with was legitimate. His account was hacked. They messaged her about sending the money through western union and she did it. The real seller messaged her a couple days later about payment. All trying to get a better deal, she ended up eating the full amount for the friends orders too.
  23. I emailed to be sure, since it's in my area. Definitely a scam. I received an email with a link to bezid
