  1. I have not done a system reset on either, I'd have to look into how to do that. Interesting thought though if it could be that simple. Side note, I never display on both simultaneously. My setup is unique in that it utilizes a swing down from the ceiling screen. It was the only way I could figure to get two screens the size I wanted into the same space. It works great. Suffice it to say that it doesn't lend itself to viewing anything simultaneously, as the PJ screen would always be in front of the TV.

  3. If I view a digital version of a film, on the projector i.e. Netflix, ISO, YouTube, Apple TV, everything works fine. It's only when viewing a DVD or Bluray that this issue occurs, regardless of the source it's coming from i.e. PS3, Oppo, Xbox, DVD player. All of the devices are connected to the Onkyo TX-NR3008 receiver. Two HDMI cables run from this, one to the 65" TV, the other to the projector. Viewing digital sources from any of the above mentioned devices, as well as on any disc format, on the TV is not a problem. So I don't believe that it is the receiver. Which leaves me with either the cable or the projector as the culprit.
  4. Why do you think it may be a cable issue? Thanks for your help!
  5. Lately, I've been experiencing connectivity problems issues when trying to view a DVD or Blu Ray disc on the projector. I keep getting an error "no signal" message, every 15 seconds or so, after inserting a disc into whichever source I am using. I get the same problem source to source (PS3, Oppo, Xbox, DVD Player). I don't have issues viewing an digital version on any source, on the projector. Or, streaming from an Apple TV. Everything but playing discs works great?! Weird. Bad HDMI cable?Reciever fritz'ing out?Projector itself? Do any of you folks have thoughts on why this is happening?
  6. Can I change my username somewhere now without losing post count?
  7. Sorry, it's actually called iTunes festival. It's a "button"/link on the home screen when you turn it on. I'm not looking at it right now, so I can't describe it more. Hopefully they didn't remove it again When I first bought mine a big part of why I bought it was to watch those concerts. A few weeks after owning it...they disappeared. Lame. Recently, the last few times I've used it, most recently last week, they were back. Not the older 25, or so, artists that had been on there previously. But instead a fresh batch of 25-30 brand new concerts! I was really stoked. I wing be turning on the HT tonight so i can't check. It's hard to miss though.
  8. If you haven't yet, you gotta check out the iTunes concerts on your Apple TV. Great video quality and sound quality, to boot! I could be wrong but I feel like there are around 30 or so FULL concerts on there from a very wide range of popular current musicians. Definitely worth a gander. I've lost many an hour of my life by telling myself that I'd only watch a couple of songs worth, lol. EDIT- The concerts are all free. Just click on the iTunes concert button. But be forewarned that they do seem to come ago and are not always available to watch.
  9. I've never actually tried just 5.1 in my theater room so my opinion is a bit biased, but I love 7.2. I took a shot at 9.2 and although it may simply have been a placement issue, I just couldn't get enough effect from my front heights to justify keeping it that way. Two questions- First, how are you considering that 7 channel amp, 7 mono-blocks? Call me crazy, or naive, but I thought that mono-block meant, independent, stand alone, single channel amp? Second, I guess is more of a comment than a question. To add those two channels by keeping the *extra* pair of RS-62II's wouldn't really be 600, too you though right?, more just whatever you had paid for them within the package. That makes it more palatable
  10. **Deleted comments** I thought I was in HT. My bad. Best of luck with this sale!
  11. Perhaps. But people still complain about the lacking functionality of certain Apple TV versions, as well as, say, PS3's, XBOX's and a myriad of other hack-*cough*-able devices. Sometimes those who complain are simply unaware of all of the options. Hence, the question
  12. Buy the towers now if you can. Buy the largest ones that you can afford. The upgrade bug can come swift and hard if you take baby steps, getting a larger sound from your front end early on is a great step towards preventing that. My two cents.
  13. I use Monster as seen in my sig. No particular reason, honestly I still think it's part placebo effect. But, whatever, I sleep better
  14. Is there no way to revert these back to an ISO capable status?
  15. I was at this cool little bar in Brooklyn, NY last night called Barcade. Basically just a bar full of arcade games from my youth, pretty fun place and everyone had a great time. The music was great and when I looked up to see what was producing the sounds I saw a bunch of RB-75's spread around the place. Someone made a smart choice!
  16. These units are really georgeous, I love the look of them and they seem to get rave reviews from y'all! GLWS
  17. Look in my signature in the "Media Room". Those are all of the best speakers to match the RF-7's. The RC-7, RS-7's and RSW-15 were made/designed to be paired with the largest towers in the reference line, the RF-7's.
  18. My Apple Time capsule is on the first floor, its hard wired to the cable modem, serves first floor only (1400 sq/ft). The AirPort Extreme is in the basement (800 sq/ft). Airport Express on the second floor (450 sq/ft). Second Airport Express in the garage covering my backyard and the garage. So, the Time Capsule is the only one hard wired. The rest just grab its signal and magnify it. Works amazingly. I can run an iMac, MacBook, 2 iPads, Xbox, PS3, TV DVR, and multiple cell phones (during parties) all off of this network with no lag and great speeds. Apple products love other Apple products.
  19. Network switch would be optimal if its an option. Next would be an AirPort Extreme, not express. Extreme allows for DUAL band connectivity. You want this if you'll ever have more than one device pulling a signal from it. It optimizes the signal path to the strongest available band, ideal. I utilize an Apple Time Capsule, AirPort Extreme, and Airport Express currently in my house. I'd hard wire whatever is easiest first, then wireless whatever is too tricky.
  20. As a side note, I believe that not all jumpers are created equal. Something to look into as the size may differ from speaker to speaker. Not sure but worth considering.
