  1. LOL Priceless! Looking forward to YOUR review when you get it. Let us know! Good luck!
  2. I saw a video on this a couple of weeks ago. It's on my short list of upgrades so I'm looking forward to your review.
  3. Based on your other post I assume you watched it on DVD? I saw it at the theater and was impressed with the sound track. It's a pretty decent movie and should be good on blu-ray.
  4. The RF-7II's will have more impact and presence for HT than the RF-63's. Okay I said it. I actually already knew it. LOL! Was that so hard? [] No pressure Scrappy, Bill sold the Acurus amp......[] I'd love to hear the RF-63's some day.
  5. Well, One week in and I couldn't be happier. After a few days of listening to cd's and watching BR's, the new components sounded great. However I still felt like something was missing. I had only ran the audyssey at 3 seating positions so I tried it at all 8 positions as recommended. The difference is night and day as all speakers now blend together seemlessly. It is also louder and more refined at lower volumes. The subs now have more of a low end thump as well at a lesser volume. I am really appreciating the meaning of "headroom" with the new amp. The OSD is soooo much better than the Pioneer it replaced and the remote is a close second to my harmony one as it has 3 activities (my movie, my tv, my music) now programmed. The Onkyo has a really nice interface for programming the remote. Just type in your component(s) model # on the OSD, aim and click at the processor and your done. I was worried about heat even tho I had cut open the back of the enclosed cabinet but so far both units are running cool to mild to the touch and no hum what so ever from the Emo. Anyways, just thought I'd share my excitement with my new expendatures........ [H]
  6. +1 You have to physically call. They have a minimum "advertised" price but will quote a better price over the phone.
  7. That looks fantastic beatbrother.Great touch to a great room! [Y]
  8. Absolutely amazing!!!! [] I've been watching blu-rays and playing cd's all day. Still tweaking a few things but so far so good. The XT32 really makes a huge difference with my subs and having independant x/o's for each speaker is really nice (I couldn't do this with the MCACC on my Pioneer) So Audyssey says it's ok to change cross over settings after running the set up as long as you don't lower them. The Onkyo set the fronts and center to 40hz which seems awfully low. I set them to 80hz and the surrounds at 120hz but I am still tinkering with them. Lot's of new info to digest...Dynamic EQ, Dynamic Volume, etc.......
  9. +1 One week earlier and it would be in my living room
  10. Yeah, I meant to order at the same time but I was hard pressed to hit the checkout button thinking about the amp Bill HAD for sale.(congrats) I'll probably order sometime in the coming days but no hurry for now. Is that procrastinating? []
  11. Me either. The day you do should tie all together. Don't procrastinate like I have with my NAD pre/pro Audyssey setup, though it sure does sound good straight out of the box. Thanks Bill. I'm getting too old to procrastinate. I don't even buy green bananas anymore.[] I have to wait 'til the house empties out to get all set up. Gonna hit 100 here today so hopefully it wont take too long while the a/c is off and quiet.
  12. Most definately. I love hooking up gear and especially new gear! Everything arrived today and all is in the media console. I had to cut the back open to accomadate the deeper separates and allow for some cable management. I went with balanced XLR's and replaced all of my HDMI cables with a uniform set. I'm trying the Redmere ones from Monoprice. Almost forgot they are directional but double checked and all is correct and working great. Just finished re programming the harmony remote and gonna call it a night. The difference with the separates is amazing!! I can't quit smiling. [] I haven't run Audyssey yet which excites me even more to think how much better it will be after calibrating.
  13. One step closer, amp and new cables arrived today. Pre/pro is delivering tomorrow. Gonna be a busy weekend!
  14. That's a great looking room but also very challenging. He might consider recessing some towers into the wall on both sides of the tv if there is space behind the wall. For the recessed area at the top, a false wall made from acoustical panels might be the ticket just my .02
  15. Looking forward to pics RH. Congratz again! btw......the new paint job looks really nice!
  16. Subwoofers, projector, screen, divorce. But not necessarily in that order...[:S]
  17. Great to hear Beechnut. Very similiar jumps from Pioneer. XT32 was also a decision maker as well as having a dedicated processor and amp. Not quite a year for me but 5 1/2 months allowed me to set aside some disposable income to pay cash. Patience is hard when you get the bug but well worth the wait to avoid getting into debt. The hardest part is the week everything is in transit!
  18. Thanks for all of the encouragement guys!
  19. Wow! I wonder if the "upgrade bug" will ever hit them.......[]
  20. That room is looking awesome Jason! Can't wait to see the final results. Very Nice!
  21. Hi Willy and welcome to the forum! My set up is very similiar to yours and I have been using my Pioneer (similiar specs) since I purchased my 7's in early March. I have had a hard time converting to separates as it's been hard to justify the expense when it sounds so good as is. I am converting in the coming weeks tho but I have been very pleased thus far. I rarely go above -20db as well. You should give them at least 8" of "breathing room" if you can.
