  1. I might buy some Fortes from someone here, and I was wondering which might be a better center for these-the KLF C7 or the older KV 4? I know that neither of these is "ideal", I was just wondering which might be better?
  2. If you decide on the KSF-S5s, I have a pair for sale. Check out the "For Sale" topic in this Home Theater section. aab3rd

I might do that. Is there any idea on their release date?

    For Sale

TTK, Well, the TIDE got both my teams this year!!! Ole Miss and UT. Congrats!
  5. Hey AV I was just looking at the list for your new room. I was wondering why you went with a 4:3 screen? Is the native resolution for your projector 4:3? I see you have a HD tuner which is why I wonder as well as DVDs mostly in 16:6 (or so). aab
  6. What I would do before anything else is tell him to pick another room because a 30X30X15 room will be an acoustic nightmare. I know because my room is 20X20X9.
  7. Doc, I have a KSW200 for sale which is the predicessor to the KSW12. It is in excellent condition. I have a list of equipment for sale and why in the home theater section of the forum. The price I am asking is $250. I live in Bolivar, TN 38008. It was purchased from an authorized dealer in Memphis, TN. I do not have the box as it would not fit in my car (I went back to get it but they had thrown it away). I probably can send pics. I have a digital camera but I have never sent pics via e-mail or posted them anywhere on the web so it might take a while to figure it out.

    REL Quake

Thanks Boa, Justin, Ears!! I appreciate the replies. Long time no post! I do not need a bunch of SPL in the room I am moving the HT to but I do want it to be good tight bass in a small package like my Sunfire but in a more attractive package so my wife will be happy(isn't that what it is all about!). That is why I thought of the REL Quake. I would consider the RSW 10 but they do not make it in anything but black. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    For Sale

Hey Doug D., Yea, I remember what you have. I know that these will fit in the room since I had them there before, but my wife would like something smaller and she is letting me get all new stuff including a plasma so who am I to argue. I will either get four RB-5s or two RF3s and two RB-5s for frount and surrounds. Center undecided. If you saw the room you might understand. Curtains on three sides because of windows along three walls. The room is aprox 12X19 but the listing/vueing position will only be 12' or so. I know that (for me) it will be hard to get rid of the Legends but it is time to move on. I hope new Reference series will fill the void!

    REL Quake

Ears et all, Has anyone had any experience with the REL Quake? I have the sunfire MKII which I am selling since I am moving my HT to a dedicated room which is smaller than my den AND my wife does not like the "little black box". The Quake is small AND it comes in several wood veneers. BTW you can see all that I am selling for the move under the Home Theater section. aab3rd

I have boxes for all but the KSW200. It will be fun to start over! If interested e-mail me at aab3rd@bellsouth.net or PM me.
  14. Congrats Klipschhog. It has been a while since I have been on the forum so this is a little belated. aab
  15. How saddened am I! I have been so busy lately that I have not even been able to check things out on the forum. With a little free time this evening, I decided to check and see what was going on. I was utterly suprised to see the first page come up in memory of PWK. I am at a loss for words to express my sorrow for the passing of an audio legend. It is with great happiness though, that I was fortunate enough to meet the man at the book signing only a few short weeks ago. Even at 98 he had a ear and a joy for music as was seen at their house with clasical coming out of a pair of Klipschorns. I would like to take this time to say a heart felt thank you for the hospitality of the Klipsch family that day, and to say that I regret the passing of this wonderful man. May GOD shine down on their family durring this emotional time. Farewell and GOD BLESS!
  16. I run the MM9000 with a Parasound Pre. I bought the Marantz amp when I had a Yamaha receiver which had lower power for the rears (It was a digital ready reciever). I am very pleased with the amp.
  17. I have been away for a while and have not had time to catch up. Has Mobil said any more about the Consonance Elle as far as availability in the states without paying the HIGH shipping. Also, has he auditioned it yet? This would be another option since I only need one input, but I do not want to pay the current shipping on one from overseas.
  18. Thanks guys. Both were on Audiogon but the ASL is now sold. The Jolida is still there for $400. I might go ahead and get it since I can probably sell it for that if it does not work out for me.
  19. I could not get the links to work myself. The Jolida is at Jolida.com, and the ASL is at Divertech.com.
  20. For a first tube amp which would be better, Antique Sound Labs AQ 1003 or Jolida 102B. Either will be driving KLF20s with a AMC CD-8b CD player. Both have about the same specs. Here ]is the link for the ASL. Here is the link for the Jolida. This message has been edited by aab3rd on 03-31-2002 at 10:29 PM
  21. Rob, first off Hi. What AQ speaker cable do you run? I have been thinking about some of their Slate or some cheaper Type 4.
  22. I was there with Tony (and jhawk) et. al. but my internet service has been down until tonight. Anyway, I had a great time. Enjoyed meeting everyone. I have pics which I will post a little later. Just wanted to drop in now that my service is back on line. By for now, I am really tired. Just got back from picking up a salt water fish tank. Tank & stand=$600 everything that goes with it sans fish=$1500 The tank and stand were my Christmas presents from my wife. The rest I had to buy. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
