  1. I would be wary of the seller. He states no PayPal in one place then in the fine print says PayPal accepted. If I felt confident with seller I would buy. rigma
  2. You have never even heard a pair of my amps Jubs but you post more frequently about what they are or are not then folks that have owned them for over 3 years.
  3. My scratch built 300B's blows them away!! rigma
  4. Naaa they all happen to be off enjoying wonderful music!! Not spending time on the forums trying to justify there hideous looking speakers that sound no better then the real Heritage speaker line. How many times have you slammed people for making comments about equipment they have never heard?? I was counting but ran out of fingers and toes. rigma
  5. Almost as bad as VRD worshipers[*-)] rigma
  6. Sounds like a Jubilee. Is there a prize for a correct guess? rigma
  7. How do I know? It's obvious if you have a good set of ears and know what to listen for. It's well belov 80 hz. where I'm talking about....and you don't detect it in front of the speakers. It's like it comes out the sides. Plus...sorry to say I have a pair of Khorns that still play lower. I know I know...Roy's charts and all...but in my house the Khorns play lower. Again...by my ear...and pretty obvious. No measurements. Mark1101, Yea, I guess it could be the room or maybe even some of the changes JC made when building. I still have Khorns also, that were in the same room and location that the Jub clones are in, and I find the Jub's bass is much cleaner and actually goes a little lower than my Khorns. This was also confirmed with my Crown RTA, I posted those readings somewhere on the forum just don't remember the thread. The 402 horn, IMHO, is also far superior to Khorn's 401. rigma
  8. Daddy Dee, Thanks, the Jubs are finished and sound awesome. Yes, I built the amps in the pics. They are Angela 91 300B mono blocks, with beefed up power supply. The pre-amp is a Berman 76 I built from sound practice issue #13, not yet finished it's case. rigma
  9. Tom, Actually it is all of the above and even in the order you listed. Of course maybe the only thing that matters is the air leak which was my main goal but I figured fiberglass would accomplish the other things you mentioned where RTV would not. rigma A bit of a time-lag here .... Rigma, The fiberglass you use: is this a 2 part mix (like epoxy) brushed over the "cloth". Are all formulations the same or there a special kind to buy? Can it be found at Home Depot or a Boating supply place? Thanks, -Tom Tom, Here is what I used. FIB-926 FIBERGLASS TAPE 8.7 OZ 3" X 25 YD PRE-CUT PKG WSY-105A WEST 105A EPOXY RESIN, 1 QT WSY-205A WEST 205A FAST HARDENER, 0.44 PINT GER-030001 PLASTIC SPREADER, SINGLE EDGE 4-1/4 X 2-1/2 I bought this from: www.jamestowndistributors.com I stapled the tape then poured the epoxy over and spread it in with the scraper. I also coated the entire back chamber with this epoxy, thinned with denatured alcohol, using a paint brush. Hope this helps. rigma
  10. Travis, Sorry to hear of your loss. Our baby (yorkie) turns 16 this week so we know the time is near for us too. rigma
  11. Dean, Yes, I left the Zobels in. I also went to the 4 ohm tap on the Amps which did not sound right without the Zobels. I am now at 2 ohms on the 402 resistor. rigma
  12. It was 8 watt 300B with passive + Zobels. So I take you liked the sound Todd[:^)] Great to meet your family. rigma
  13. I built the Berman 76 from sound practice #13 and it beats all I have ever heard! It is awsome with 300B's and Jub's rigma
  14. I just saw this on craigslist in Atlanta. I don't know seller. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/ele/323512783.html rigma
  15. Thanks, Mark I will check that out when I get then here in about a week. The trannys are pretty small. rigma
  16. Thanks, Mark. I will be installing my Lundahl LL9206 step up trannies for the Denon 103, either internally or I could build an external box. Any suggestions? rigma
  17. Jordan, I am interested. Let's talk. rigma
  18. Dr. Who, Its only a few db, and the mic was raised from from just off the floor to 34" so there may have been more room influence. Maybe Roy will respond to this. rigma
  19. See http://www.sophiaelectric.com/ under DIY parts and transfer covers. rigma
  20. Dean, Sorry, I forgot your 402's are mounted to the sub plate. I don't use the sub plate on mine so that area is open. Anyway don't worry about it. rigma
  21. Dr. Who, Attached is an Excel spreadsheet with charts of all. Just click on the tabs at the bottom. rigma Crown RTA-1.zip
