  1. Can anyone tell me what the Cornwall tweeters and horns should ohm at?
  2. I have a friend offering me a pair of black kg4's and a pair of walnut quartets for my heresey 1's. Opinions? Go for it or let it pass? Need help, lol. Thank you! Let me add the quartets have crites active crossovers in them.
  3. The heritage, the history, the story, the engineering, the unmistakeable sound. All that and PWK, thats what makes a Klipsch a Klipsch.
  4. I use a Walnut KV-3 with my Hereseys. Sounds damn good to me!
  5. I got mine at Lowes as well. I use them everywhere that I can. Not so much for sound quality, just easier to connect and disconnect. I like the look too for what thats worth! []
  6. I live in central arkansas about 1.5hrs from where it all began and people around here mark Cornwalls at full retail + $100! There are 2 pair for sale within 30 miles of me....one pair for $1200 and a pair for $1500!! []
  7. Your 4.2's should have removable feet....why not just remove the 2 rear feet and let them lean back? Just a thought!
  8. Very nice. When it comes to Klipsch, simplicity speaks volumes!
  9. To piggy back on this, check out the 4.2. I have a pair of those and I refer to them as the "Hope Pounders". Those things thump.
  10. I agree....La Scalas! I don't think the Kg4's have the ability to fill a room the size you have got, especially with tall ceilings. The Heresey would be great, (1/3 of a khorn), but still you will lack bass to fill the room. La Scalas with the folded horn and 15" woofer would be marvelous for you. Im a bass guy and run a def tech powerfield 15 with my la scalas but i probably dont really need to. I at one point owned some kg4's though and recently passed them on to my father in law. Very nostalgic, nice sounding little speaker but they can't really be brought up in the same sentence performance wise with the heresey. Go La Scala, my friend! Once you go with the BIG horn , you'll never look back!
  11. I've got a friend that runs www.still-relevant.com and he has many great records at really good prices. Check it out, I would be surprised if you didn't see something to buy!!
  12. Would it be ok to spray the interior cabinet with some type of deadener, like plasti-dip as opposed to using insulation?
  13. Is there any chance there is a veneer on these as opposed to being solid wood. The serial tag says, "WO", which I know is walnut oil what I dont know is if its a walnut stain or a veneer. How might I tell the difference?
  14. I have acquired a pair rough pair of Cornwalls. They are '64 models and besides the mice that have been in there I beleive Im the first person to open these things up. The mice chewed the insulation up pretty good. Anyone know where the insulation can be aquired or if any insulation will do? I'd be much obliged for any thoughts or suggestions!
  15. I found a Denon, too. Im actually just depressed that Im not savvy enough to master the Onkyo TX-SR606 I have! I cant get it to sound right!
  16. Is there one out there?! I can't do without a subwoofer. I know Onkyo has one but is that it?
  17. I just brought home a mint pair of '97 La Scalas in Birch Lacquer. I use Scotts Liquid Gold on my other Klipsch speakers but they aren't lacquer. I just don't want to damage the finish. Suggestions of what to use other than liquid gold are welcome! Thank you!
  18. Those look amazing! Awesom work!
  19. Thank you! I think the general consensus is $1200. Lol.
  20. Not really interested in selling these, just curious what an approximate value on them would be. I paid $900 but I know they are worth more than that. They are '97 models and don't have a scratch anywhere. They are very clean all over and they work just like they should. Thanks!
  21. Lol. I think I'll go the first route!! Thank you!!
  22. Can anyone give me any insight on how to change the grills on these bad boys? I picked them up for $150, yes, you read right. The grills are toast and one woofer is shot, it has a big tear. Thats easy enough but the grill does not come off!! Any info is very much appreciated!!
