  1. Not sure what your 5.1 fronts are. The AW-650's are rated at 95db and only go down to 70Hz. Plus, it's outside. I agree to setup an outdoor system with a sub.
  2. "Proud to be an American" by what's his face.
  3. I think he meant to say "4 feet OF wall space."
  4. This section is stuff FOR SALE or WANT TO BUY. Anyone with at least a 1st grade education will know this is NOT the place to ask for market value.
  5. I know people here use Crown amps in their homes. Hopefully, they will chime in with using this amp.
  6. That is what you need. Plug in an external amp and you are set.
  7. You'll be able to hookup an external amp if there are preouts in the back. I don't think yours does.
  8. If those are truly LS-BR, that is definitely the price of admission!
  9. From the ad: For your consideration is a handsome pair of Klipsch La Scalas in natural birch finish. Grain is very nice. These have consecutive serial numbers in excellent condition with all original components, including K-33-E woofers, K-55-V mids, and K-77 tweeters. This vintage pair is in GREAT condition and is ready to go for years to come. Absolutely one of the finest speaker designs to ever come out of the Hope, AR factory. http://rochester.craigslist.org/ele/3874333046.html No Affiliation

  11. Doggone good price for a set of KG's. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/clt/3894286241.html
  12. Emotiva stuff is highly praised on these Forums. XPA-5 200W x 5 - $809.00 UMC-200 7.1 Preamp - $599.00
  13. Easy to fix blemishes on it. Smoking deal!
  14. Lifespan? I know there's a guy on here with Klipschorns from the 1950's. That should give you an idea of lifespan, so far. Crites is the place to go for TI diaphragms. HUGE difference. High end, schmi end. I stated with a Pioneer receiver and Jensen speakers in high school. It can only go up from here. You will be caught up in the upgrades sooner rather than later.
  15. Here's a pamphlet I got from the shop where I bought my speakers in Abq: Page 1
  16. Bill, you just HAD TO show sub porn, didn't you?!?! SuBXeRo, if you are interested in passive subs, you can always get the SVS Legato. Dual Passive PC12-Plus subs with an external amp. $2299.00. Well within your budget. Try them for 45 days. Don't like them, send them back. Again, no shipping costs.
  17. Epics are your CF-1-4 speakers. Tangents are Tangent series. KLF speakers are in the Legend Series.
  18. They'll sound GREAT for quite a few years. Klipsch is the kind of speaker you pass down to your kids.
  19. I know it's not the purist's point of view. The original Heritage line speaks for itself. I'm not sure why Klipsch called these newer speakers Heritage. http://www.klipsch.com/chorus-ii-floorstanding-speaker http://www.klipsch.com/forte-ii-floorstanding-speaker http://www.klipsch.com/academy-center-speaker Not sure why the Quartet's page doesn't say Heritage. It is of the same lineage as the Chorus and Forte.
  20. Always better to have more bass than not enough. Can turn down if too much bass. You're stuck with not enough bass.
