He was awesome. PSU couldnt lay a hand on him.Had all the time in the world to throw. I expected a loss but what hurts the most is that they actually gave me hope......and choked

With all this PSU and OSU talk, I forgot that Michigan State is 6 and 1 with games against both PSU and OSU. Hey, ya never know

PSU v tOSU for all the BIG 10 East marbles and maybe a playoff spot tomorrow at 3:30PM. Edge to tOSU. Home field advantage is so much more important in college football than in the NFL IMHO.

The honeymoon may well be over for Harbaugh. This is not why Michigan made him the 2nd highest paid coach in college football. How long will Michigan fans be patient. Not sure what their expectations were for this season but a win over Sparty was expected. Frustration is already mounting over at the Michigan boards https://scout.com/college/michigan/Board/103320/Contents/Venting-Thread-108596608 Fans are a fickle bunch. PSU fans wearing scream for James Franklin's head two years ago. After last years Big10 Championships, he is now the in the top 10 highest paid coach and loved by all
  8. Berkeley.....of course University professors reaping what they sow At least the professor stood firm. Students cant handle the stress of midterms. Oh boy " University of California, Berkeley students recently protested their midterm exam, demanding a take-home essay instead. A Youtube video of the scene shows the Berkeley students commanding the in-class exam to be replaced with a “take-home essay with significant time to prepare,” but Professor Harley Shaiken declines their demands." https://www.turningpoint.news/berkeley-students-protest-exam/?utm_content=buffer977c7&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

    New top 10 is out:BIG drop for Ohio State.I guess AP see going 2-0 against lesser teams carries more weight than 1-1 with a loss to a top 5 team ( Oklahoma)1) Alabama2) Oklahoma3) Clemson4) USC5) Penn State 6) Washington7) Michigan8 ) Ohio State9) Oklahoma State10) Wisconsin
  12. Not always. I know plenty of parents who find their kids " unrecognizable" after a year or two away at college. My daughter was exposed to this crap will at school but fortunately she placed more valued inwhat her old man had to say then some academic who couldn't survive outside the cocoon of the university walls

PSU still has offensive line troubles. We're still seeing plays being blown up in the backfield just like last year. Fortunately they have a QB that can run and Barkley that can make something out of nothing. PITT had their way with the PSU defense all game until where it really counted. To PSU defense credit, gave up only one touchdown, 2 picks , 5 sacks and held in the red zone. PSU defense is being praised today but it sure didnt look like it to me IMHO. Spent way too much time on the field. OSU lost to a ranked team. Both USC and Oklahoma beat ranked teams. PSU beat Pitt but looked like crap doing it. I see PSU dropping to 6. tOSU dropping to 5 with USC and Ok moving up into the top 5. Michigan staying put at 8....barely Jimbo Whats you take on the Wolverine game? Ugly win IMHO

Hey Jimjimbo! Derrick has already predicted tOSU will be in the final four after one game Then again, Derrick may be right but there's still 11 games to play. Still questionable whether tOSU deserved to be in the playoffs over PSU last year.

Want intensity? Go to a Penn State White Out. Had the pleasure of witnessing my Lions taking down Ohio State Last year. Jimjimbo's Wolverines will pay us a visit this year. Looking for revenge after the beatdown we took from them in week 4. Went on to win 9 straight games to win the Big10 Championship only to lose the Rose Bowel against USC And to think PSU fan base would have been happy with just a winning season

  19. Well Aaron, must say you are one patient individual. And what is this waiting for the truck to be full nonsense. This a $10K speaker we're talking about that should be put on a pallet and given to Fedex/UPS to deliver. Call that dealer of yours and insist that if you dont hear back from him on when you will receive those 10K speakers (I'm sure he's making a healthy commission on) you will cancel the order. Period.

Hey Dave Thank your son for his service to the country for me, will ya?
  21. Dave If the above post is true that the refs were Ohio natives, you can see a potential conflict of interest. True, Michigan was the better team but also had a big influence over their own demise. Regarding the "Help From My Friends" video. Just think for a moment and put your tin foil hat on.. The big10 and college football in general is a big business with mucho money involved. How could they possible allow their golden egg, OSU, lose to PSU and be out of the playoffs. OSU needed to win and win big against a mediocre PSU team but had to settle for a close one instead. A win by PSU would have brought nothing into the coffers of the Big 10. Tin foil hat off
  22. ........and oh how I remember this game.
  23. Lurking over at a Michigan forum reading OSU and Michigan fans go at it and came across this post. If true, something is rotten in Denmark and the Big10 The big ten officiating crew for the game contained Daniel Capron (lead official), Kevin Schwarzel (back judge), and Bobby Sagers (side judge). See http://www.mgoblue.com/sports/m-footbl/stats/112616aaa.html. Schwartzel is an Athens, Ohio businessman who refs Big Ten games. He's also a life-long Ohio State fan. Without even taking his fandom into account, he was barred from officiating the 2006 Michigan/osu game simply by being from Ohio. Yet he officiated the game yesterday. See http://www.athensnews.com/…/article_ff61a741-18ae-57a0-ba31…. Sagers is also from Ohio. This year, he was inducted into the OHSAA hall of fame, ceremony in Columbus. http://www.wsaz.com/…/Fifteen-Individuals-Set-to-Enter-OHSA… And Capron--the lead referee--was fired by the big ten in 2002 for poor officiating. http://www.purdueexponent.org/…/article_f22a455e-1bc6-504f-… So this is the situation. You have a self-pronounced life-long Ohio State fan in the position to make the no-call on Grant Perry's pass interference, and the pass-interference call on Delano Hill--crucial, game-changing calls at the end of the game. You also have an official inducted in the Ohio High School hall of fame--someone who is likely connected with other Ohio higher-ups--likely spotting the ball at the end of the game. (I'm not sure if he actually spotted it, but I'm pretty sure he's one of the guys running in from the sidelines along the yard line that he thinks the ball is on.) Whoever actually spotted the ball knew that, because overtime play starts at the 25 yard line, spotting the ball exactly on the 15 will give OSU a first down. Finally, all of this is reviewed by a lead official whom the big ten fired in 2002 for incompetence. An OSU victory also was good for the big ten. If Michigan wins, it goes to the big ten championship, where the winner of Michigan and Wisconsin will make the playoffs; but if OSU wins, it sits home, while Wisconsin and Penn State play each other. OSU makes the playoffs, as does the winner of Wisconsin and Penn State. That's double the TV revenue on New Year's Eve for round one--money that Maryland and Rutgers and everyone else who sucks and have contributed nothing to anything get to share. I'm not going to defame anyone and say that the game was indeed fixed. All I can do is point to inherent biases in some of the officials. And I can highlight Jim Delaney's and the big ten's "motivation" for fixing the game (again, not saying they actually did it without further proof). My hope is that we can learn from this experience and create a better process for selecting officials in the future.
