  1. Your theater looks very nice. I bet it sounds great.
  2. You probably have the AK-2 with this fuse panel and low frequency crossover components that are both on the K-horn bass bin door. Some owners install fresh new fuses every ten years, just for fun. You probably just need new fuses, available from Radio Shack.
  3. Hi Kevin, Your Klipsch stories and pictures should be shared with everyone here on the forum. I will be perfectly happy just to read more discussion about the KPT-1802-HLS subwoofer. Thanks for the invitation to talk about Klipsch speakers, they are the best. Khornukopia

  5. Five F1 engines or seven... what's the difference. The answer is 2. Schu is kindly reminding me that the Saturn V (five) had five F1 rocket engines, and that I was technically wrong with my first glance thoughts I shared with you while looking at Dr. Harmon's pictures of a speaker system that can possibly replicate the sound of a rocket launch. I should have known better, having stood underneath an actual Saturn V rocket engine cluster as a tourist many years ago. Back to the original topic, I want to thank Dr. Harmon for sharing his pictures of this subwoofer, the pictures of his amazing personal speaker collection and for taking us on the historical tour of the Klipsch factory, and his visit with Paul Klipsch.
  6. At first glance, I thought you were showing us a picture of the Saturn V rocket nozzles that blasted man up to the moon.
  7. I have Klipschorns as main speakers, a La Scala center channel and Cornwall surrounds. I like this very much and I agree with the advice that the ideal is to use speakers of the same series, all Heritage, all Reference or all Klipsch Palladium, etc. Considering the 25x12 dimensions of your room, I must emphasize that Klipschorns have specific placement requirements that may be a challenge with that room. As mentioned in an earlier reply by another K-horn owner, you might consider buying 3 La Scalas (or 3 Cornwalls or 3 Palladiums, etc) for your front sound stage. You can be more flexible with your surround speaker choices. A sketch of your floor plan and general Idea of your budget would be useful info for us to help you.

  9. The breeze kept moving my subject, but at this moment the camera also captured the pollen floating in the air.
  10. The K-400 horn is painted with Valspar Metallic, Aged Copper 66027. It is a good match to the copper color cones of my Klipsch Reference speakers. While I had the horn out of the cabinet, I also applied some Dynamat anti-vibration sheets.
  11. Bi-amped and brazen, this La Scala is now proudly playing front center for the All-Heritage home theater team.
  12. Extended side baffle boards are not attached to bass bins, they are part of surrounding cabinet.
  13. Radiant "Rosenut" glow dramatized with halogen glamour lighting.
  14. Surface mounted horns on easy swap motor board. "Rosenut" color created by applying secret formula (Varathane Cherry #445 Premium Gel Stain) onto American walnut veneer, then treating with BLO (boiled linseed oil). Picture here with soft incandescent mood lighting.
  15. Stylish new outfit, cut from hand selected fine hardwood veneers.
  16. Perfect fit steel frame Crites woofer gives new life to ambitious excursion plans.
  17. Undergoing the double thickness fitness program as recommended by Klipsch community advisors.
  18. Stripped of old paint and any disco club ghosts, all is FIR-given.
  19. This lonely La Scala with a dark history dreamed of being in the spotlight and becoming the center "channel" of attention.
  20. Yes, it was someone a lot smarter than myself who inspired me to do things like this. The nice sounding Klipschorn stereo system is a personal homage to my childhood hero, Paul W. Klipsch. .
