  1. Time for a Wally World refund...I use Linksys Routers.. Stay with a Big name brand--It pays off.
  2. You might be the Harvey Weinstein of The Klipsch Forum....
  3. I think you have to take a pre-employment test at SL to make sure you're a Moron. I just got off the phone with them---OMG !!!
  4. For my home--I try to get the easiest equipment to use. Easy remote--easy turn on and off. The Denon is fairly easy and simple and it sounds nice. The H-K was too complicated--and doesn't play online music. The wifey likes that I take care of the entertainment unless I'm dancing around in the buff. She does the decorating--I do the car and entertainment system.

    Vaping

I am a strong advocate for Vaping. It is the best tool to get people to stop smoking. It is being fought by Big Tobacco because it takes money from them even though they have their own Vape Division---Like Blu Vape. Their is no such thing as second hand vape because vape does not hand in the air like smoke. Vaper's should be very selective in what they vape using American Made liquids and not dangerous vape's from counties like China where they might put dangerous chemicals into the liquids. Vaper's face discrimination from people who know nothing about vaping because it "Looks like Smoking". Wouldn't you rather have a loved one completely Stop Smoking and use the best tool to do so, or watch them kill themselves with cigarettes? If a relative decides to vape instead of smoke, they should be encouraged instead of ridiculed--they are on the road of stopping smoking. These drugs to aid in smoking cessation are DANGEROUS. Big Pharma just wants a piece of the pie. Read the side effects--Vaping has None of These.

    Vaping

Quit cigs on the very first day of vaping over 3 years ago. Vaping saves Lives. I vape Tribeca from Halo.
  8. That's quite a list--That's what I'd expect from "those people".
  9. It's No Bull...I know, I'm not helpful....
  10. You get a used modem because you got a discount.....
  11. SL provides the modem--a hi-speed modem--really state of their art. Probably from Texas. They mailed it to me.
  12. Hey--Get to The Frontier--they have internet and a Bison.
  13. I pay 170 for my SL and it's irritating to see new customers get it for 80. It's all BS. SL puts The Cuss in Customer.
  14. They've has Star Wars on TV for the last week. I know many of you like it. I find it so boring and corny I can't watch a whole episode. Now that Disney owns it--I'll be expect Miley to come by on a Wrecking Ball. I hope it really is The Last Jedi.
  15. A nine minute Blues Type Jam with some fancy pickin... It's Leftover Salmon...
  16. Deang rebuilt mine. I would have your friend rebuild both of those if he can do that sort of work. You'll want both to match in each speaker. Use Dayton Audio metallized polypropylene capacitors. Also use Mills Resistors. That's what deang used---I am not an expert. Those parts will give your speakers better sound. You could contact Deang here to get his advice but I don't know if he's doing these type of crossovers. He usually works on Heritage stuff. Let us know how it goes.
  17. Why do "B Stock" item's have a 90 day warranty? Is there something wrong with it?
  18. Here's a live performance from The Steeldrivers...
  19. You're gonna need new shocks.
  20. I'd take a look at Parts Express for damping material. They have a good selection.
  21. If you're not sure about turning the main's all the way up before you add power to the speakers, try turning most of the way up. I don't know what scale your AVR has, it might just go up to 10 or so so you could try 8 or 9--what ever sounds best for the speakers you have. Mine sound great without any tone controls with these settings but you can add a little tone control for room acoustics. Just don't overdo it. Mine sounds so good I thought I'd pass along this info for people that run AVR's. I'm also using this setting for the TV and really like it. As far as stressing out the Amps in the AVR, You don't turn the sound up as loud as you were doing because the sound is better at low volume and high volume. I think it's putting less stress on the Amps because I'm getting high power sound at low volume and don't feel the need to blast the sound to get high quality sound. Let me know how this turns out for you.
  22. Thanks for your info...I've been into audio for at least 40 years. I've read more than I can remember. I am working with equipment I have. What I said in the first post worked for me. I'm very happy with the way my rig sounds now. I don't feel the need to go out and spend money when I have great sound. I guess my advice is for people who are willing to give this a try and see if they have the success I had without spending a dime. My system sounds at least 50% better than it did yesterday all because of changing the initial settings. Your system might be so good you don't have to do this. Some of are just working with average equipment trying to get the best sound we can. Also all SS amps do not sound the same.
