  1. I do that with every loss as well. The void of going without seems to outweigh the complications of starting over at times. Not sure exactly what we are going to do right now, but I know we want another dog going forward. Time frame is the only question. Tim
  2. Update for you all: We had no choice but to put Pita down last night. By the time we got to the vet his larynx was being crushed by the infection and inflammation. He was on a breathing tube when he was brought in to see us. We only had a few minutes to say our goodbyes before we lost him. To think that we lost both of our pugs in a seven day span is gut wrenching. We are absolutely heartbroken, and it will take time for us to heal. I appreciate all of the prayers throughout this journey with my two pugs. Pucky Junior May 11, 2011 - May 26, 2021 PITA May 31, 2011 - June 2, 2021 Such deep love we shared with our two pups, and so many years of entertainment by these two very different, but still very similar little creatures. They were amazing characters. The unconditional love we felt in this ten years will never be replaced. Through the good times and bad times, they were by my side. They will both be dearly missed. RIP PJ and PITA Tim
  3. Pita is at the vet, and has been since 11:30 this morning. Basically snoring and inattentive since last night. He has not ate or drank anything since Monday around 2pm. Vet took Xrays and blood tests but cannot find anything definitive. He has a fever now of 104.4, where as yesterday when he was seen he was at 101.4. Also now his white blood cells are elevated. Not sure why. Vet thinks maybe it is a soft palette issue with him fighting to get air into his lungs...he has already had a surgery to remove this skin about four years ago, but it could have grown back. That would explain the breathing issues, but no idea yet on why his white blood cell count is elevated. Also his glucose is up, but not too high to think that is the cause of his condition. The local vet is trying to see if he can arrange for a Blue Pearl Emergency vet can immediately take him in. Waiting on a return call. Overall, not looking good for Pita....to think we just put PJ down one week ago today. Please continue with your prayers for him. Thank you Tim
  4. Well, this morning I was able to get him in almost immediately to the vet. They think that everything is being triggered by a really bad inner ear infection. They gave him a steroid shot, an antibiotic shot, and a anti-nausea injection. As soon as we got home, he seems much improved. They also sent away for a culture of his ear infection so we know we are treating it correctly. They feel his head movements, balance, and eyesight issues are all caused by this infection, which I guess is great news. After putting one dog down only five days ago, it’s amazing how fast my heart sunk seeing Pita like this over the weekend. Thank you everyone so much for the continued prayers and support. 5. I don’t even know where to start, now my other pug Pita is sick. It’s like he has a depth perception issue or something. All of a sudden now he is ducking away from us when we walk near or past him. He is walking wonky and wouldn’t even pee just now. Had not been out in about five hours so I figured he would have to go. He takes a couple of steps, then just sits down. Not sure what to think now, I can’t bear to go through this again so soon after PJ passing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thank you everyone. It’s been an extremely rough week. I’m enjoying spending more time with my remaining pug PITA. He is kind of depressed too, so I’m including him in everything we do right now to help him through it. Reflecting on the wonderful times we spent with PJ, and cherishing his memory. I feel consolation in the fact that we did everything we could for him, and we enjoyed an amazing ten year ride together. I’m praying now that my little remaining pumpkin won’t be going anywhere for a while. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Thank you so much guys, for both your kind words of condolence, and for sharing your own experiences. My heart goes out to each of you that have endured this pain, it really is a hollow sadness that takes a long time to heal. I didn't have any idea how bad off he was. In three weeks this tumor that was not even showing up in Xrays, grew to the size of a baseball, then ruptured. There really was no decision to be made, he would not have made it back home with the forty minute ride we had. My daughter and I got to spend the last moments of his life sharing his love and affection. Ten glorious years of unconditional love from the best friend I could ever ask for. My remaining pug Pita has had all kinds of issues in his life, and somehow the little pumpkin is still ticking. He's had two bouts of cancer, Vestibular Disease, palette skin growing over his throat to name a few. I always feared he would go first, but somehow he managed to be a trooper. I hope I don't lose him anytime soon, not sure my heart could take that. Tim
  8. Sad news guys, we are putting him down. He has a ruptured cancerous tumor in his intestines and cannot be saved. We are absolutely heartbroken Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Hello Klipsch family, I haven't been posting much because I have had my hands full. My pup PJ just turned ten a couple of weeks back, and he has been pretty sick. About five weeks ago he started to vomit, with diarrhea. After about a week, I took him to the vet. They put him on medicine to suppress both ends, after about a week on the meds his vomiting stopped, but the diarrhea continued. Blood tests showed he was anemic, and they believed after Xrays showed nothing definitive that he was probably suffering from ulcers. After a couple more days I took him to a full service ER vet where they took more blood, a fecal test, and more Xrays. They leaned on the same thing that it was possibly ulcers. He has been on the ulcer meds for ten days now and still not much improvement. Today we are taking him back to the ER for his appointment to get an ultrasound. This should be definitive. Initially they could not get us in until June 23rd, then bumped to the 2nd of June. After his continuing deterioration they got him in today. We are unsure on what to expect. My initial local vet looked at him again on Monday and now thinks he can see a large mass in his abdomen, and also showed something with his lungs...but neither set of Xrays from two weeks and three weeks ago showed anything. Not sure right now on what to expect, until the ultrasound results this afternoon we won't know what we are dealing with. Surely praying to God it is not a cancerous mass but unfortunately we cannot rule anything out yet. I'm asking for my friends here to offer up a prayer or two for him. My other pug is also ten, and has been through the ringer. Two bouts of cancer, Vestibular Disease, and palette skin had to be surgically removed from his throat. I've kind of become familiar with all of his demands, but this is a first in his life for PJ. Right now he has labored breathing and is pretty weak. It's been a fight all month just getting pills in him, because he seems to find them no matter what we tuck them in to. I'm happy that we will finally be getting him in for his ultrasound, and could not imagine him being able to wait until a later date. I'm already $3k deep this month in vet bills, and I have been unemployed for over a year due in large part to Covid restrictions here in Michigan. I just went through a horrible and heartbreaking divorce after thirty years together....it's been a rough year to say the least. Anyways, I think I have put all I can in here, and I have to start getting ready for his appointment. Like I say, I am eternally grateful to all of my extended family in here for any prayers you can offer up for PJ! Tim Just an update guys. We had to put PJ down on the 26th. His vet visit for ultrasound revealed a huge cancerous tumor in his small intestines that had ruptured and he was going septic.
  10. Looks like they are back up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I saw those last night, and was tempted to jump on them. He also has a new pair of Forte III passives that will fit the speakers in another ad listed for $100.
  12. Feel free to post a couple of ... in any threads to get yourself two more posts, then you can send the PM!
  13. If they were local to me, I would grab them, I already have a pair of KP-250 and KP-301 ii, and a bunch of KPT and KI speakers....and they sound great.
  14. Beautiful set up that would be tempting had you been closer. GLWS! Tim
  15. Yeah, I just sold a pair last weekend for $460 that looked nicer and had no woofer issues. I'm amazed at the money Ebay draws!
  16. klipsch rf-7 Towers And RC 7 Center Dean G Great Condition | eBay Seems like a fantastic deal for someone in Arizona....not mine!

  18. klipsch heresy | eBay Seems like a decent pair for someone...he has a $200 starting bid on these and a "Make an Offer" option........they are not mine!
  19. If I had any more room I would grab them myself, I still have at least one spare crossover. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Looks like a nice pair of KG 4 in Lansing Michigan. Could be a woofer or crossover issue according to the listing. NOT MINE Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I love the looks of the La Scalas but the thought of having two ginormous speakers, plus a sub in my house is unfathomable. I won’t be parting with any of my five pairs of KLF 30’s and 20’s. If you decide to go the La Scala route, let us know when you sell your KLF! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. It's decent. A little boomy for my liking. Good for movies, not for music. You probably won't find a better subwoofer for $150
  23. Klipsch LaScala Industrial LSI Speaker/ Pair | eBay Not mine, but they seem like a nice deal!
  24. I think under the forum rules, you have to post five times to gain the ability to PM. Post a few ... posts in threads I guess
  25. I wish more forum members were willing with Epics and Legends!
