  1. Cool - I got the tweeter and it was a perfect fit and sounds comparable to the original. Any thoughts on where I can get the black stretchy grille cloth that Klipsch uses on their reference towers speakers?
  2. Found these tweeters: http://www.ebay.com/itm/390916970680
  3. Hello all - I bought a pair of Klipsch RF10's recently and one has bad tweeter and a main 4.5" driver that has slight rubbing in the coil when the driver is gently actuated by hand. Are there replacement parts for these available? Also, is grille cloth available comparable to original? Not sure what I will do with these as they are very small but I got them cheap and am sure I will think of something.
  4. Just an update, I sold five of the seven pieces for $1k yesterday. $450 on the REF IV equipment and $550 for the pair of RS-62II's. Was nice to deal with someone that had done their homework and knew what they were buying. Still have the RS-52's in box remaining. Thanks for all the responses here.
  5. True that, I've been known to do the same thing. I guess it depends on what side of the sale you are on.
  6. Thanks, I just messaged him. BTW, just got yet ANOTHER offer for $750 for all 7 pcs...gotta love the Dallas CL market.
  7. Good point, I planned to knock off $100-$200 off the set but I can absolutely see that scenario. The RS-62 II's are very popular and some may be seeking them out separately though I only have had a few emails on them. Appreciate the feedback
  8. Thanks for the reality check. Although not pictured they all have grilles in perfect condition.
  9. Hi guys, long time no post, I know... As some of you know I found a deal on a THX Ultra 2 system earlier this year and now need to sell my old 7.1 Reference system (minus the sub). I'm looking for some guidance as I have run these in my local Craigslist for some time and I seem to only be getting interest from those in the <$1k budget range. Am I overpricing these? Granted it is a mix of REF IV and REF II speakers but they are all in excellent condition and to my ears probably sound as good as my Ultra 2 or better. The set consists of REF IV RC-52 REF IV RF-62 pair RS-62 II pair RS-52 II pair, with boxes I have them on Dallas Craigslist for $1400. Is that high for a mint set of seven speakers as listed?
  10. I have done some veneer work on my antique jukebox restorations. I have used the substrate-backed veneer but have also used raw burl veneer for trim. Very delicate to work with and used the 3M contact cement rolled on. I look forward to doing a custom subwoofer someday.
  11. Not sure if this is applicable but it might be custom programming that Logitech (Harmony) can provide. I have the Harmony touchscreen remote and have 70" LED behind a Dalite Electrol screen. I wanted to end the Watch TV activity by having the screen roll down so the screen remains rolled down all the time, even when all devices are off. No matter what I did I couldn't achieve this. I emailed support and they added the customization to my Watch TV activity. I downloaded it to my remote and it works like a champ. Another note, I bought my Harmony used off of eBay. They provided support for my request once but I got the impression that any future requests for customization would be fee-based.
  12. I thought this thread was pretty amazing effort to clone the Klipsch KL-650-THX and offered a look inside. Surely its been posted before but have a look-see if you haven't http://techtalk.parts-express.com/forum/speaker-project-gallery/62494-klipsch-klone-build

I just bought some of these for my AMI Continental 2 jukebox.
  14. I contacted them for more info. I got a returned email but no other details, price or pics so I assumed they really didn't want to sell them or weren't interested in shipping. I also appreciate the help I got from MetropolisLakeOutfitters. If I hadn't been on such a hard budget I would have purchased the set he had available.
  15. Found a set! BIG BIG BIG thanks to RockOn4Klipsch (Stefan) for the tip on these as well as offering to assist with shipping. I'm supposed to take delivery of these today and can't wait to set them up. I will have for sale my current system consisting of mint pair of RF62, RS-52II, RS-62II, and an RC-52. (Possibly pair of KS-525-THX)Thanks again to all of you that helped in this pursuit!
  16. Still looking but am considering a few offers out there.
  17. If I can't find a set of these in my budget my second choice was considering going all built-in speakers. Also will probably go with in-wall AV rack (probably doing this regardless of speaker choice)
  18. Thanks for the tip Trent. I just emailed them I'd have to measure Willand to be certain but it's in a loft and is an oddly shaped space with vaulted ceiling.
  19. I'm posting this to see what all might be out there. Currently my theater consists of a mix of Ref V and Ref II equipment with pair of Sunfire True subs. My use is 100% movie/blurays. While my current setup sounds good I want to take it to the next level. I have heard several opinions regarding these as "somewhat flat sounding" but as I understand it they are designed for cinema and deliver in that area well. I am now looking for: KL-650-THX (3) KL-525-THX (2) KS-525-THX Let me know if you can help me out MRT
  20. I have always liked the Middle Atlantic products. I have a slimine in my wiring closet and a mini rack with door in my media room. Seriously considering going all built-in and going with something like this:
  21. I want to upgrade to 7.1 system and was looking for pair of RS-62 II's to match my existing but 52's might work for me. I am a distance away in Cedar Hill, TX. Will PM you
  22. I too have enjoyed programming URC products. Their design interface reminds me of building "mini web pages". I found a great resource online for information and custom templates, buttons, etc at www.remotecentral.com. I did recently succumb to the ease of use of the Harmony 1100. Not as customizable as the URC but there is a lot of functionality there and the remote is very powerful.
  23. Their in-wall speakers get great reviews. Also, they are THE place to buy TV wall mounts. Great quality for $ and fast shipping as well. Never disappointed with all I have purchased there
  24. Are the KLF series a higher quality product line than the Reference series?
