You know what sounds Good right now????? Grand Funk Railroad "Closer To Home" I have a Grandson in Michigan that I have never seen. He is only six. He is in CPS custody because Mom wigged out. My son "His Father" hasn't had any contact with the exception of paying child support... Michigan CPS contacts my son this past Wed stating that Thomas is in their custody.. My son lives in Idaho with his fiancee and their 2 children, Aiden is 4, Olivia is 2. I talk to some awesome folks at my workplace and extrapolate all I can.... I calll up to Michigan and there is absolutely nothing I can do to make this "Temporary Process" faster..... Temporary.....It depends on the judge and Moms recovery... I can only say with certaintity Flipping ******* WOW....Hope nobody has to go through this ever

How long is a piece of string? It really depends on a whole bunch of variables. But in general the small signal triodes (6SN7, 12AX7, 6DJ8) can last a long time but as they age the transconductance will drop off giving you less gain. So what happens is you actually don't notice your equipment not performing at it's peak. Power tubes (6550, EL34, 6L6) depending on operating conditions can and usually do have a much shorter life compared to the small signal triodes. I get what you are saying...The variables are astronomical....To try and keep this on topic.... Your current tube setup..... How often you turn it on..... How loud...."my preamp rarely sees past 10 oClock".... How often do you replace tubes? In years, Months? What cost to replcace? Im not by any means bashing tubes "I Love them" the sound is phenomenal.... I'm still listening to this crappy Crown XLS1500..... I'm confidant the Crown would be a perfect match for Sub's.... I'm just trying to establish a cost perspective based on true data "your input"

What is the longevity of the tubes in your current tube equipment? For instance....You put brand new tubes in your equipment January 1st 2012. Are they still working? If not when did you replace them?

Absolutely agree....I had a problem with my son years ago...He decided to take a car that I let him use for getting back and forth to school and work to KC with a bunch of his friends...I found out about this and went completely ballistic....It is still brought up by him and he says Thank You Dad :)

Bri comes from a broken family...Divorced years ago because Dad was into drugs, Shelly seen the bad from this and left his ***.. Bri is a great kid but she needs a reality check and Shelly is just trying to keep the peace... Broken families suck... There is a reason for Mom and Dad...There is a reason for kids to have both available without divorce...

Thanks for the reply...I'm still contemplating moving from Tube to SS. With my current setup the Transcendent Sound SOB seems to chew threw tubes about every 2 years...I've gotta say this amp sounds wonderful when working correctly...

A friend of mine has a teenage daughter that is running the house hold..... Shelly my friend confides in me that her daughter Bri that is in High School, only 17 has a guy spending the night.... Me personally I would be doing some Whoop *** on Bri...My House My Rules....Your to damn young for such things...If you don't like my rules than there is the door and get out... Shelly....What if she runs away??? or worse yet kills herself??? Me....She might run away, I don't think she will ever kill herself.... Shelly, I cant do that.... I raised two great kids, my Son and my Daughter on my own...Mom walked out very early, they were 4 and 2 when Mom walked.... My point I never let my kids control my house, sure I had problems with both but they never disrespected my house rules.... I simply don't get this, I offered my opinion to Shelly but it goes in one ear and out the other.... So here are my thoughts....Dad's are absolutely needed to lay down the house hold law...
