  1. Hope everything works out medically for you Pat Sent from my Z981 using Tapatalk
  2. You have a nice pair there. I'll second the fact you can trust Carl. Sent from my Z981 using Tapatalk
  3. It will "easily" let me edit it, but when I submit it, it's telling me I'm not logged in, or don't have permission? I figure most people here get the idea anyway. Sent from my Z981 using Tapatalk
  4. Price correction $350. Sorry for some reason I don't have permission to edit the title. Sent from my Z981 using Tapatalk
  5. This is still in progress. Since I'm selling the Heresys, I had to build an actual shelf for the 64. Much better now. Sent from my Z981 using Tapatalk
  6. WVU80 and others who took time to reply. Thanks for the answer on the HDMI. Just what I was looking for. Yes I was using preamp and pre-outs interchangeably. I have now been taken to school and it won't happen again. Yes my 636 is 7.2. and I'm aware of what they all do. My mention of using two channels from the 636 was in fact only once the 636 and the 5ch external amp were connected (now know that's not possible) and running LCR LS RS off the external and using 636 to handle back surround or height. Doesn't matter now of course lol. Thanks again for taking your time to reply with such detail. We can now consider this closed as I'll be looking for another AVR as I do take advantage of some of the other features they offer. Sent from my Z981 using Tapatalk
  7. I'm sorry my question wasn't specific enough so here it is... Do either of these HDMI outputs supply a multi channel signal that could supply a newer model preamp? Are any new AVR's even using dedicated HDMI port instead of RCA? I realize just buying a new AVR with pre-outs could solve this problem, but I'd rather "invest" any monies to a preamp rather then another AVR at this time, but still retain my other two channels to run the Atmos since my amp is only 5ch. 8. Anyone? Sent from my Z981 using Tapatalk
  9. Welcome, can't wait to see it. Pics or it never happened. Sent from my Z981 using Tapatalk
  10. Well 98% of my use is home theater, and I was hoping by now that HDMI to a pre amp would be an option and that my 636 would somehow do that because it doesn't have the traditional RCA pre outs. I haven't shopped preamps yet but would need one either way. Thanks Sent from my Z981 using Tapatalk
  11. Have no pre-outs, is there an HDMI work around if I use a preamp? Trying to plan use on this new to me Harman Kardon Signature Series 2.1 for 5 channels while maintaining my Atmos option. Splitter on HDMI Main perhaps?
  12. Thanks for the offer Carl. I'll shoot you a PM and post a few pics
  13. I just picked up a Harman Kardon Signature Series 2.1. Dusty inside. It's my first amp (obviously on a budget buying this old) but I'd like to give it a check up before hooking it up to anything and looking for a shop, or even a forum expert who can give it a look over to check specs etc. Thanks! 14. Used RC-52ii on Amazon now Sent from my Z981 using Tapatalk
  15. While I've never heard 62's, if you haven't tried or heard floorstanders run as sides and set on full you should. Just my .02 Sent from my Z981 using Tapatalk
  16. Still for sale. Thanks to the guys who posted them in the Alert section. Sent from my Z981 using Tapatalk
  17. As I was reading and got to the parts about your colored guide coats, I thought this is a car guy. The next pic I notice the truck bed in the background:-) Nice job! Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
  18. FYI you may want to check with your local Grayhound station for shipping quotes. They can be very reasonable for larger items. Buyer just picks it up at his local station. Actually I think I booked my shipment through busfreighter.com and it was cheaper than Greyhound's site and I still just dropped off at station. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks for all you help guys. The wire connection on the back is just two screws. No recessed cups. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
  20. ***Update***3-2-2019 Price Correction $350 ***Update*** 2-2-2019 I still have these although now I'm really looking to trade someone for a set of rear surrounds to match my front and side 83's. RS62's maybe? Also looking to pick up an AVR with Preouts. Maybe Denon x3300 etc. I bought them back in about 2002 and never asked original owner any specific details about them. Appear to be all original.
  21. Guy in Orlando has 3 new replacement woofers on eBay now. 120 obo plus shipping. You could buy the 7's in Naples and swing up to Orlando for the woofers Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
  22. No problem. This was introduced to me back in 91 because we were into car audio and it sounds great there too. Ironically over the years I've heard their songs used as background music in many movies. Enjoy Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
  23. I normally hang out in the Home Theater section but wanted to listen to some old cd's tonight on the 83's and came across one I never hear much about but thought you guys would appreciate the variances in the sounds. If you don't have the CD just You Tube them. The CD is from the group Yello and the album title is "Flag". Songs such as The Race and Tied Up sound great and incorporate a lot of multichannel imaging. And yes it is the same group that did the 80's song "Oh yeah"
  24. Well I was off today and had a chance to work on the screen mounting a little. I was still deciding just how to configure the brackets when I stated so as a result I'll be running to Lowe's once again for more bolts and brackets. Still have fine tuning to do as well as fine something other than my old set of Heresy's to hold the 64. The AT screen is great so far... Thanks Clinton for the encouragement to do it. 25. Great tips with laser and plumb bob, I'll use for sure. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
