Are these yours or an alert? If yours please PM me! If not all good sent an email to the ad.

Rob this forum section is Alerts! This is where forum members post ads that they find for others to look at. All ads here should be unaffiliated as is this ad here. The Garage section is where you want to post or search for members ads of their own gear. You never want to delay with these sales though, be forward, but not too aggressive, these things have a way of disappearing fast. Many times it is a first contact sale. Glad I could help. Good luck!

  2. Don't underestimate your market. You will literally have the only pair for sale. List them for the "I don't want to sell it price" and then repost in a week or two with a slightly lower price. Repeat until they find their new home. You will still not put nearly as much time and effort into selling them as you did building them. You live in the land of plenty. Enjoy the rewards.

  3. Currently collecting things of fairly low value per item that are easily stored like

    75+ Vintage wool throws/blankets

    100+ Minerals and crystals

    750+ Marbles

    1000+ Books pre WII

    1000+ U.S. coins

    2000+ Blu-rays

    Can never get enough of

    Tools

    Wool shirts/socks

Shells, shark teeth, furs, bones, antlers

    Stopped collecting (because)

    Leather boots/shoes (enough)

    Mikasa china (completed)

    Most antiques (space)

    Speakers (satisfied)

    Wildlife Art prints (style)

The rest of my collections I sold, or have not acquired enough of, or haven't pursued for a sufficient enough amount of time to consider myself a collector of.

As long as we are on the subject I missed a pair of La Scala I in Milwaukee today. I was second in line at $900 for Grade B/C cosmetic with unknown details of the components or year of make. Guess 1980's. First caller got them and the listing was gone within 2 hours.

Also keep an eye on that pair of black Chorus II in Illinois currently listed on Ebay.

Go for it.  I'll probably do my Chorus IIs someday.

    Check these out, nice bracing

Here's how a couple of pairs I own are braced. You can see in the cross-section middle drawing.

  6. The equipment here is very impressive.  Instant upgrade for anyone considering building a home theater system, or a multizone setup. Enough power there to make your utility company moan.

    How have you been attacked?

Read the rules of the Garage Sale section, and quote and paste the part about audio related items only in a post so that everyone can see it and we can avoid this problem in the future.

    Thanks,

    Travis

    Much obliged. Upon your request.

Dirt cheap 4 year old price. Chorus going for at least $1200 in decent shape in Nashville IF you get lucky. Tons of people leaving high cost of living and high crime/cost of government areas locating here. So many it is scary to be honest and I wonder if that is why speakers are hard to find and expensive here.

Gentrification. Only good when your leaving town, sold everything you own to the newbies, and have nothing left but a suitcase of money to take with you.

These sold quickly. I was #4 in line 12 hours after they were posted.

Tells you that they are not worth $600 at this moment in that area, right? Unless somehow their selling 4+ pairs per day! How many days anything sits at a given price determines true value, not dollars. I have never seen a pair of "good" Chorus II listed for sale >$800, north of the Mason/Dixon Line, that were not vapor within 3 days. When you see them listed for $1200-$2000 they still sell, but for how much and after how long? Like money in the bank, do you need the cash today?
