  1. If you get a face to face if you can try to find out in advance where they went to school and buy a keychain or some other trinket that endorses the schools sports team. Make sure they see it somehow. I went to a Lawyer for divorce back in 1987 and the second time in I just happened to wear a IU cap. He looked at my cap and went in to a 10 min rant on how much he liked Indiana U and he had went to school there. I looked at the wall and there was the proof. I would think this may give you a leg up in a deal like this also. By the way he asked me how much did he tell me the divorce would cost for his services, and I told him. He said lets cut that price in half. I was as happy as a guy going thur divorce can be lol. I know they look at facebook so make sure there is nothing on there that makes you look extreme or crazy .
  2. Any of them can give bad service and taking care of problems after the fact is important I agree! Ive had some places that I thought were top notch try to bury one in me also. I have a small shop that has always treated me fair do all my work on my cars and trucks. I know the guys and it makes me feel better. But im little old school. Peace!
  3. I don't mind paying for good tires. Yes there are good deals to be had but dealers are to be watched. I took my RV over to get tires a town over. I told them what I wanted, and they said ok. Took it in a few days later, and they tried to stick some very cheap tires on it. Something like this has happened to me twice! Make sure to check when they were made also. I think some of the big chains try and sell tires not that are not as good like as in small defects. Seconds if you will. I don't mind spending good money on shoes and good tires. And I can be tight on some things! https://itstillruns.com/check-year-tires-were-made-6129841.html
  4. Ive used walmart a few times, but some of the guys working there are sub par. Replaced a battery for me and the mount needed replaced. They just set the battery in there and called it done. Never again! I would not use them for something as important as tires but thats just me.

  7. This one is green. I just went to check. It is a Jet Stream.
  8. I am almost ashamed to say. It was 6.99! I had to have it. But I don't know why.
  9. I was in the Farm Bureau co-op yesterday and saw one of these! Had to get it. I still have some kid in me!
  10. Im going to smoke a Boston Butt over night. Going to Evansville today and may pick up a Tri Tip to grill in a few days. Weather is perfect for smoking meat this time of year!
  11. I like to eat at home, but we do eat out also. I like the thought of knowing who prepared the food, and whats in it. I the older I get, the more I like eating at home. And don't get me started about sleeping in Hotels!
  12. They were out there for sure! A line I use that I borrowed from Jim Staford that fits those boys. They took a trip and never left the farm!
  13. Last one I promise! Sir Elton
  14. Or a little Deep Purple doing some Space Space Space Space Truckin!
  15. I would guess the 83s have a bigger sound but how do the highs compare? I know like you said the 600s go higher but I also know theres not a lot up that high. Which do you prefer?
  16. 68f and humidity 86. Raining steady as we speak. Only one day of rain before today, in like a month and a half. Longest dry spell I can recall up to the rain earlier in the week. Getting down into the 30s tonight for the first time. Been very warm.
  17. You need to find a good Mom and Pop restaurant. Ive ate pretty bad a large portion of my life so im not bashing.
  18. Eating anything with fake bones, may fall under unhealthy lol! The wife likes them also. Me not so much. This is one ingredient. Azodicarbonamide ā€“ a flour-bleaching agent used to bleach plastics, gym mats and shoes.
  19. I agree! I smoke all winter long. Iā€™m in Southern Indiana so it gets cold but there is far worse. Where you live Wolfbane? I do have a covered spot with walls up about 5 ft.
  20. Almost everyone around here uses Hickory, Apple, Cherry, or Pecan. My brother had a Peach Tree blow over and he gave me a bunch of it. You use whats around usually but Peach and Pork go very well together. Im going to get out to the Orchard a few miles from here and get some when I can. He told me he had some. Ive tried blending different woods and usually to me I like using one kind of wood at a time. It never goes together in a way I think it will in my head. Ive have looked all the way to the end of the Internet and many Books about BBQing and figured out easy and basic works best for me most of the time. I don't open the smoker every hour and spritz and not much into injecting. I usually put it on and don't open it again until I think its near done. Everyone has a different idea about what good Q is but I don't want mine hot as in spicy. šŸ·šŸ“šŸ„ Peace!!
  21. Texas has good BBQ but im not a fan of mesquite wood. Im a hickory, or peach wood fan. I don't do much well but I consider myself a real BBQer. That and grow Tomatos is all I got lol. Im eating a pretty mean Pork Steak as we speak. Thats not popular out your way is it?
  22. NEVER? https://www.smoker-cooking.com/how-to-smoke-a-tri-tip-slow-and-good.html https://jesspryles.com/recipe/smoked-tri-tip-steak/ https://www.bbqdryrubs.com/how-long-to-smoke-tri-tip/ Now in out west not often maybe not but never is a strong word! Im sure as long as they make smokers and beer, I would not be surprised if an old shoe, has not been smoked low and slow!šŸ˜Ž I learned to mess with people on here from you, by the way. I will try it offset on the grill first time out. Peace!
  23. Im going to try one. I BBQ alot but never messed with a Tri Tip. I will let you know the results.
