No Buick used the RPO G80 Positraction name as the rest of GM. This is a traction control system.

In 1973-1976 GM had the ACRS, air cushion restraint system. It was a air bag option located in the steering wheel. It was discontinued due to lack of interest by the buying public.

I do really like 1960's Rivieras, the 1st and 2nd gen. I also like how many people think 1963-1978 Rivieras are front wheel drive because the Tornado and late 60's Eldorado was. Who remembers Buick had a traction control system named Max Track in 1971??

There are no Buicks I care about after the 1987 Grand National. 1960's Buicks are my interest.

Back to the bricks in Flint Mi is an excellent alternative to Woodward. It runs for 5 days (Aug 15-19) during the same time as Woodward. All of us Buick people get treated extra special in our home town of Flint as well. But I do agree with DizRotus that everyone should go at least once to Woodward. Twistedcrsankcammer it would be awesome to see all the cammers in one spot. Unfortunately I will be chasing the solar eclipse this year and will miss the events.
  7. I have never heard of either of those car shows. I tend not to watch any of the current cable networks car stuff. I was watching the Mecum auction from Harrisburg PA last night, when I noticed on a particular vehicle the bidding came to a halt at $160,000 with the auctioneer asking for a $165,000 raise. A bidder bid $161,000 and was promptly told by the auctioneer that was not acceptable as he was raising it in $5000 increments. So the vehicle hammered at $160,000 and not sold to the highest bidder. If I was the seller I think I would have had something to say to the auctioneer that probably would not have been fit for the television audience.

That young man has good taste taste tāst/ noun noun: taste; plural noun: tastes a person's tendency to like and dislike certain things. Just so there is no confusion.
  9. That depends on the severity of the threats and the conduit he uses to achieve them. He may in fact have broken the law and it will be much easier to get the attention of the proper authorities if you know who the individual is than trying to report an unknown. Sometimes a little legwork will get you further, faster. If he has not broken any laws then a simple registered letter asking him to cease may be enough if he now knows he is not acting under the cloak of anonymity.. For the record I am staying far away from this person. I have heard of him but forgot all about him. So thank you for the reminder.

  11. A couple of nights ago central Indiana had a 80 degree dew point at 10pm. The weather person said that is high as it can go. It has been even more humid than in the past around here lately.
  12. I am a fan. The Road To Revolution Blu-ray is a great show and I watch it often. RIP.
  13. I am traveling to Clarksville TN to hook up with a fellow forum member (cstrau) I met at this years Pilgrimage. Clarksville is home to Austin Peay University. Austin Peay State University’s Department of Physics and Astronomy has an observatory with a 20-inch Ritchey-Chretien telescope, featuring the same optical design as NASA’s Hubble Telescope NASA has already contacted APSU about setting up a live feed at the University’s observatory to give viewers across the country an opportunity to see the eclipse. The center of the eclipse, with maximum totality of darkness, is actually about 20 miles north of the University, but that location will only remain dark for about 10 more seconds than Clarksville. Its the three day weekend of my Birthday and its going to be a party.
  14. That is the part I really struggle with.
  15. Since there are no published Denon X6300 test lets use the model above and below that for comparison. I realize these models may be last years as in the X4200 and the X7200 is still considered the flagship even though one could argue that the X6300 technically is. soundandvision is one of the few sites I could find that actually puts the amps on a test bench X7200w https://www.soundandvision.com/content/denon-avr-x7200w-av-receiver-test-bench image: https://www.soundandvision.com/sites/all/themes/hometech/images/headiconlarge.png Read more at https://www.soundandvision.com/content/denon-avr-x7200w-av-receiver-test-bench#O0mvMqYwcpuvB2Vi.99 This graph shows that the AVR-X7200W’s left channel, from CD input to speaker output with two channels driving 8-ohm loads, reaches 0.1% distortion at 146.6 watts and 1% distortion at 185.8 watts. Into 4 ohms, the amplifier reaches 0.1% distortion at 234.7 watts and 1% distortion at 265.5 watts. The center channel measures +0.01 dB at 20 Hz and –0.61 dB at 20 kHz, and the left surround channel measures +0.01 dB at 20 Hz and –0.62 dB at 20 kHz. From the Dolby Digital input to the line-level output, the LFE channel is +0.01 dB at 20 Hz when referenced to the level at 40 Hz and reaches the upper 3-dB down point at 118 Hz and the upper 6-dB down point at 121 Hz.—MJP 2 channels driven continuously into 8-ohm loads: 0.1% distortion at 146.6 watts 1% distortion at 185.8 watts 5 channels driven continuously into 8-ohm loads: 0.1% distortion at 122.3 watts 1% distortion at 138.0 watts 7 channels driven continuously into 8-ohm loads: 0.1% distortion at 113.7 watts 1% distortion at 124.0 watts Analog frequency response in Pure Direct mode: –0.04 dB at 10 Hz –0.00 dB at 20 Hz –0.06 dB at 20 kHz –3.51 dB at 50 kHz Analog frequency response with signal processing: –0.81 dB at 10 Hz –0.23 dB at 20 Hz –0.42 dB at 20 kHz –20.36 dB at 50 kHz X4200 https://www.soundandvision.com/content/denon-avr-x4200w-av-receiver-review-test-bench Test Bench 0.1% THD 1.0% THD Two Channels Continuously Driven, 8-Ohm Loads 124.3 watts 149.2 watts Two Channels Continuously Driven, 4-Ohm Loads 215.9 watts 239.7 watts Five Channels Continuously Driven, 8-Ohm Loads 94.6 watts 118.0 watts Seven Channels Continuously Driven, 8-Ohm Loads 76.8 watts 91.9 watts image: https://www.soundandvision.com/images/916denonrec.meas.jpg Audio: This graph shows the AVR-X4200W’s left channel, from CD input to speaker output with two channels driving 8-ohm loads. How was partipants selected for this event? Sanchez has only 13 homeruns this season. That is not even close to worthy. Home Run Derby participants American League Miguel Sano — Minnesota Twins, 21 HRs Aaron Judge — New York Yankees, 30 HRs Gary Sanchez — New York Yankees,13 HRs Mike Moustakas — Kansas City Royals, 25 HRs National League Giancarlo Stanton — Miami Marlins, 26 HRs Cody Bellinger — Los Angeles Dodgers, 25 HRs Justin Bour — Miami Marlins, 20 HRs Charlie Blackmon — Colorado Rockies, 21 HRs

I agree, it is quite a sight to see a ball go completely out of a stadium. Which then creates the temptation to try and hit it completely out even though the line drive home run takes less time and is more productive to the competition.

@DizRotus good call on the ACD museum, it is an awesome place full of incredible cars. I was always amazed at the Auburn auto auction held every labor day when some of these rare and expensive beauties were sitting under tents for all to get up close and personal with.

Judge put on quite the show. As a National League fan I have not seen a lot of his play. I wonder how many he would have hit if he didn't just eliminate the competition in 2 of the rounds with time left on the clock, Having a pitcher who can repeatably but the ball where the batter wants it is a big deal. Fun to watch these guys get in a rhythm. It is interesting how tiring this event can be and is very evident on most of the participants. If the ball hits the roof in an apparent home run it should count and almost hurt Judge in an earlier round.
