  1. Their reverence is palpable in the recording.
  2. Nice song Mike but there was a big difference. They would not go away or get out of the way at the two four + turn lane road intersection adjacent to I-77 about a mile from the airport. You "had to buy" some inane flower or pamphlet or something like that or bump them with your bumper to move through the intersection. Like the dim-wits now-a-days, antifaghs? This went on for about a year there. We'd call them over, talk like the ladies taking the order at a Chinese restaurant blow a big hit in their face, throw empty beer cans, burn rubber for two blocks & it shocked them. Over and over probably a half dozen times over a few months. Then they weren't there anymore, felt like everybody else was grateful for getting rid of them! The yearly Deadhead invasion was colorful and much more nice... they knew not to play in the streets! Here's that 80s clip, it's a minute in!
  3. Willie, I forgot what kind of patinaed land yacht is it that you tool around in? Got fond memories of a two speed late 60s indestructible Buick and us imitating Cheech & Chong then harassing the hare krishnas at one of the big intersections going toward the airport, they were everywhere even in a movie with that hot headed New Yorker Baldwin around 1980.
  4. Got your "gray matter" ready to roll? My first mug is gone now, gotta replenish.
  5. As long as you don't hold your breath for them @Dave1290. The half inch thick or thicker rug with a pad are great for "rounding out" the sound when you're over hardwood. & I love wool rugs, blankets, shirts, socks, caps, underwear..... Take that can of sg back if it was mislabeled somewhere along the way! They should verify that quickly and replace it. Hate wallpaper so much from having to scrape it off then clean up the big mess before painting many times. I don't even care how beautiful it is. Using different sheens, colors, natural sponges, glazes and texture a lot can be done with paint. The room I'm in right now had wallpaper pasted directly to the sheetrock when this place was built. That was my first bad paper experience, fixed the walls and used texture to mimic light stucco in here
  6. Real C&W is nice wherever it comes from it seems, the first one is funny too. Temp has dropped below 30 degrees already and sunset isn't for an hour or more now. Snow's sticking in the yards now, I got warmed up from a single shot of a bourbon that I will have to find again. This still sounds nice all the years later, got lucky and nabbed a half-speed for my replacement copy. Think everybody might know this one!
  7. Ziggy really sang Screwed-up eyes and screwed-down hairdo Like some cat from Japan He could lick 'em by smiling He could leave 'em to hang They came on so loaded, man Well-hung and snow-white tan
  8. Appreciate the description about like a wasp sting, not as bad as a hornet!
  9. Not aware of what their sting is like or how long it hurts and side effects. Rather get stung by a dirt dauber than bit by a f'n spider. Wasp sting doesn't hurt 30 hours later sometimes 12 hrs. Some spider bites hurt for six weeks and leave whelps or holes in your leg. I'll go out of my way to kill a spider. * Whoops, sorry `bout all the OT this is the photog thread.
  10. Only happy hour but with all the sleet and snow I won't go out on the roads any more today. Know my limits but the young dumb dumbs do not! They don't make my Accord anymore. Yes undiluted I could only handle a sip, a smallish cube in the shot is good. The flavor character is totally different, not like George, Jack Or Jim or 101 Turkey. Darker, smokier than the 4roses single barrel or Jeffersons I tried.... and the bang for the buck I look for is better too. But will it last two months?... doubt it!

    The Other Discs

Guten Abend bro! Yes they are, got the first one and it surprised me. Also the treble is really cranked up in the mastering of my cd. I mean like tweeter blowing loud including distortion, can not crank it up... I like my speakers!
  12. That is insidious that it's hidden on his tail. The ones I saw, the first one painting the interior of a home... I was almost shocked even though I'd heard they were around Orlando. The lady of that house walked in there and saw me going after it and calmly stated "Make sure you hear the shell crunch, or it's not dead"
  13. Like bubba tea even though Ronnie Van Zandt made fun of it long, long ago. Decided $40 for the 4roses was wasted if I cut it with two cubes or sugar water plus a lime & bitters.
  14. I'd have destroyed the kleenex box getting it to fit in the shape of the sink to smash it! And the D*e mfr Di@! song would have been heard yet again here!
  15. Didn't even get to try it last night the circumstance required my full attention here. Good thing is that is exactly what I've got in the cabinet @capo72! Man, the picture I just took does show a nice deep amber color, wonder if I'll perceive all the aromas and flavors their webpage states it's got!
  16. Did it lose it's stinger or is it too young and small to have one @Schu? I only saw the black ones in Central FL. Looks kind of like an itty-bitty lobster, had bisque last night!
  17. Ouch!, that IS chilly. Maybe I'll post some pics of 104 this summer you'll feel the same about that as I do the above temp! Sleet all morning here today, temp is going down a little more, but I'll be surprised if the driveway gets covered that would have to be a lot of snow to overcome the warm ground.
  18. Enjoy the vacation @wstrickland1, bet its cool even where you're from right now!
  19. I'd heard mentioned here what I already knew, that the Four Roses Single Barrel was harsh. Yea I considered it more bang for the buck since I haven't drank to get drunk since about 1989, and a fifth will last me a couple of months now. Found myself making sours more often than not just because I like them and they're easy. That or with ginger ale. ABCstore next to the grocery I go to most often never had any of the names I asked about, tried the Jeffersons Small Batch and it didn't really turn me on either. A smaller store near the older money part of the south side had a gal there that just cracked me up earlier. Said "Don't you tell me you're ignorant about bourbon since you're asking me about it!" She was the one that asked if she could help! Told me a truck came in yesterday and she had two bottles left of the decent stuff that had all but sold out already. A Larceny Barrel Proof and one by Elijah Craig. Picked up the EC, will try it with cubes later on, it's even more strong at 136.8 proof. I'll find a way to start going there every time I get the itch now, it is literally around the corner from the BBQ Smokehouse & the good French bistro.
  20. He added one to the weather thread for sure!
  21. @dirtmudd C'moon Man! That just grotesque. Never partial to the #2 jokes either... that became ubiquitous with Richard Pryor maybe in the late 70s? Cooling off today and could smell the clean air from the mountain weather earlier today outside. "They're" calling for snow again tomorrow but the ground just isn't cold enough for sticking not like where most of y'all are that could ice-skate nearby a lot when you were kids. Now we did have large like 30' in diameter cement bowls in all the city parks here that were turn of the century old and built up until the 60s. Didn't have fountains so we all knew what they were for. Saw picture of people skating in them in the paper and sometimes posted on bulletin boards there at one of the parks before. When it was cold enough like in 88' a half an acre pond at the apartments I lived at during HUGO froze solid and the ducks, birds and creatures were funny like Bambi on the ice for ten or more days. Only time I've walked on a frozen pond in my life, there had been ice around the edges of it for weeks that grew and shrank but when that cold hit for a month after it froze you could see the color of the ice change where it was only three or four feet deep around the edges.
  22. Not quite bud: No pesto last night with my coffee No pesto last night with my tea No pesto last night was beside me No pesto last night to run with me Da-un-do-dow dow da-un-do-dow Da-un-do-dow dow no no Da-un-do-dow dow da-un-do-dow Da-un-do-dow dow
  23. 🤢 Dude! Saw you post & haven't seen you around much.... so Hi @dirtmudd Just had a pasta bowl full of baked ziti and garlic bread. I literally felt green with that first pic.
