  1. Bet it does!! * have Japanese mastered cds and a few MFSL LPs that are from Japan. Their audio equipment was the best in the 70s!
  2. Yes Sir Mr @The Dude The water being at 205 or very close is what Bunn does better than anybody else. That's what the bean-gurus say is the key to getting to the flavor!
  3. Somebody said Floyd?
  4. Damn, HE's taking all the good ones lately.
  5. Nice "Tales of..." Lots of fans of all the above here.
  6. Just spent a week restoring two hundred or so. Prices on those will be going up like the Analogue Recordings labeled ones did.
  7. I do understand, been saying here and to the checkout gal at the grocer that we're turning into the Seattle of the SE. Had to drive around the trees that were still out into the roadway to go south 5 miles to the warehouse earlier. That storm a coupe days ago... the twister must have touched down there at one point. Not less than twenty uprooted with the trunks jutting out into the six lane road that must have been bowled over the other day.
  8. Supermoon was a bust last night, only a sliver, now don't think we'll see the stars for another week. We've had about five days since last year without rain and might catch up with you NW folks soon.
  9. Know you've got memories from that. No way it could not happen back then when people were more fun than the young-ins are now!
  10. Snowed for three hours but didn't stick at 35... it was nice to see instead of rain
  11. Oh no! the visuals I see that game at the fair when you pop the critter with the bb gun and it turns around and goes the other way and then you can repeat it!
  12. Saw something along the same lines as the stuff incorrectly maligned by twitter. It's apparent that the info was correct on some level: https://apnews.com/PR Newswire/ff548c99a03afb0d69bb7871f7cd4fc0
  13. Mine is the ST, the first before warranty replacement was an STX. Exterior is just more sleek than yours, nothing else. Good, HOT coffee!
  14. Waiting for coffee Dave? 11am Damn I'd be angry if I had to wait five hours for my first mug!
  15. Whenever I've searched while buzzing on beans the ratio-8 was mesmerizing but the Technivorms were consistantly well regarded everywhere I looked. If Bunn has gone downhill go with those. My manual one has too much setup & cleanup involved for me to go with it exclusively except for the $$ beans. That is until my Bunn dies. * Bonavita is priced better.
  16. Dang didn't that same thing happen about five years ago? Tons of masters lost? criminal.
  17. Found that Soundsmith site due to @dirtmudd and his endless access to www knowledge. Read about the differences in the stylus cuts there. They also make a good argument for the iron cart there. Shibata or Fine Line is shaped more like the grooves in the records. Therefore it can "extract" more of the recorded sound from them, more from dust and scratches also (beware)! Also shaped like the groove implies correctly that other types of needles aren't. The elliptical is rounded and doesn't touch much of the surface. Over time it can degrade the record. A fine line set up right can protect your records from that kind of mileage damage. My mc was double the cost of the most recent fine line mm I had but way more sensitive to the material put into the vinyl. So if you've only had experience with mm's and want improvement without breaking the bank on a new preamp at the same time? Check to see the type of styli you have now, if you can upgrade to shibata or whatever the particular manufacturer calls that "nude" shank diamond cut.... do it! Got to check to see if it's compatible specs wise, but ya'll are probably are aware of that already.
  18. See the Outlaws in there @MyOwn they used to settle things like it was the 1800s with the HellsAngels around here in the 70s.
  19. `Bout time to go and check out the "Snow Moon" supermoon... it's this weekend if it's not cloudy where you are!
  20. "Escape From NY"😂 Fantastic name and those colors do look organic and very nice!
  21. You've got a good collection of that usually happy-go-lucky Dixie jazz Paul, enjoy! I could get a lot done listening to that stuff.
  22. Still chilly outside at 46 but that wind that has blow-dried everything makes it feel cold after noon here today. Looks like storms coming back it's dark towards the west. Haven't looked but I'd bet there is snow towards the mtns right now!
  23. Looks like low resistivity to me! And the wrap has colors like some kind of a snake.
  24. Yep my whole life here it is rare that we get any precip without it coming through y'all from the gulf. You guys get the nasty stuff and it has dwindled before it gets here most of the time. Once in the 70s then once in the mid 80s there were those days when hundreds of twisters were reported in the south- southeast. It was in the early 80s I was across the Buford Hwy from Peachtree/DeKalb airport in Chamblee (Doraville🎶) and saw a twister toss single and twin engine planes up into the air and around in circles. Another time in the 90s one hit Cocoa FL we heard one at a distance, me and my rott-n-pit went on the front porch the hair along his spine stood straight up then my hair did and we went inside again. It was a mile away where it touched down. Wasn't it Auburn that got it bad last year by a BIG one? * Well ten degress more normal for us after being at 70 for a few days @grasshopper
