  1. My favorite of theirs from the early 70s. They meld the keyboards, guitar and vocals together on this lp into a psychedelic whirlwind!
  2. Yep, wavelength is what I'd call state of mind and maybe personal tastes! But.... I made it about bandwidth here with that SB-3000 a couple of months ago and get the complete 20-20k that I've never had before. So if I could have that shot of hundred proof I usually stock and dig on that super tight-bass resonance it could be.... "Roll Away!!"
  3. @Mossy bottom prior to your recent postings here I did not realize that we were on more or less the same wavelength! And did you ever stop to wonder About the times that she laid by your side When you know that I was right And you finally realize You took a left turn on a red light One of `em has been a preacher on the east side of town here for a couple of decades. They could put on a surprisingly much better show than that lp shows (and it was loved by all that I knew and hung with back then) A short in my brain took me to this Ah, tell me. How much did you pay for the chunk of his guitar, The one he ruthlessly smashed at the end of the show? And how much will he pay for a brand new guitar, One which he'll ruthlessly smash at the end of another show? And how long will the workers keep building him new ones? As long as their soda cans are red, white, and blue ones. And how long will the workers keep building him new ones? As long as their soda cans are red, white, and blue ones.
  4. Those records will get me going in the morning @Mossy bottom, & I love that Linn you've got with the four cuts all the way around on the "slab" Only saw UFO three times, twice in the small arena where the wrestling was held here in the 70s. Molly Hatchet, Judas Priest, UFO on one of the most rocking nights ever in this berg of new-norm hatred and frigadaire cars. (that's the cars out of a refrigerator or washing machine box) Shenker brothers could be the answer, just to marvel at what they could extract from those strings and mesmerize all of us with. Would it be peace and harmony or beat the crap out of the jerk in the row behind you? Got "the Wild the Willing & the Innocent"?
  5. Wow the bead people have gotten easy! A friend told me long ago he had to display it ready to go to get the beads @dirtmudd Lordy, I've not seen Christmas Tree Sensie since the 80s, made me forget my mug was empty just now. Don't forget to lick the cheese paper!
  6. Some of my pals hated this one. I thought they pulled off the keyboard record with the brown bag over it pretty well. Always a Zeppelin fan!
  7. Same Bat Channel Different Year Nothing against Ol Blue Eyes by the way....... don"t have any decent enough to put under the mc, and I'm on a different wavelength tonight!
  8. So it's the last evening of cranking it for a while get to play one that she hated hearing in my high school years when I pulled up in the driveway. Never did get where the cartoonish sounding whooooaaa🎵 after "Shot Down in Flames " came from
  9. @Mossy bottom Tunes and haircuts from "Let it Be" imply they might have started trippin' some by then!
  10. Darnit @dtel they do that with me too... latest was my GI told me my platelets were low and it's important I see a hematologist. Nice Indian gal Dr. pulls up my lab history with transplant lab. Says look here your platelets have been low since 2007. 2007? it's freaking 2019 today! She told me to quit taking some important supplements that I told her I've taken for less than five years. Early 2007 had chemo and radiation, chemo didn't agree with my heart so they took me off it the second day. That is what screwed my platelets. So why's it all important twelve years later???? They want all my $ the greedy bas*%rds Bill the Cat would say: PFFTTT! Maybe I'll take theirs for not telling me for twelve years $$$
  11. The only time you drive home at 3am to 5am anymore is when you've been visiting at the hosp (tips hat smiley)!
  12. @Dave1290 What the heck is that... a "red" Apple label?? Thought they were always the sour green labels... all mine are and I've got original copies of "Help" & "Sgt Pepper"
  13. Bet that made a big difference Mike, besides the bean the H20 makes the biggest difference. Gotta check in here more often than I have lately, a hundred "E"s, half from here.. and you guys crack me up!
  14. Thank You @billybob . @Tim Sr. Very kind of you thanks. @Mossy bottom Appreciate it. You too @Dave1290 & Happy Birthday! And the two other friends I injected this into a chat, it's going to be different now. AFIB had her feeling bad went to the ER. Found out there was aspiration pneumonia also, her epiglottis had quit working right. So it's NPO forever after the tests confirmed it. Nose tube gone, she has a P E G and will get nourishment and Rxs through that. She's been (surprisingly to others) very matter of fact about it. But emotionally not sure yet so it will be hard. Would be home today but the logistics couldn't support it, so it's Monday. Change is rough sometimes, aging too.
  15. C'mon Maan! Only if you don't use your sense when driving it.. or push too hard when you take it out for the first time in years. Too nice to not even use it for a Sunday road-trip!!
  16. Shout Out to @billybob Thanks for the b-day present that you weren't even aware of!!
  17. Love it @sunburnwilly my first car was a `73 SE 400 Magnum, bet that one has the 340? In about 1980 there would be parked here: a `69RT, my `73, a `68 383 and a `73 Challenger 340 HP that could almost beat me! Hope you've got those mags all the way around by now, `cause that picture looks almost like one of the magazine ads from back then!!
  18. Jackson Browne: lyrics and a good tune... loved by the cool people in jr high.... then by me too after hearing more of his stuff. Bad week here, lots of days and nights at the hosp for my mom that's been in bad shape but has turned the corner now... might be home this weekend. & that will be lots more to handle now. Brother drove up this evenng to give me a break for the night. Started with Claypool Lennon Delerium "South of Reality" love this stuff but it's kind of a short double LP. Cranked it up and had to reduce the bass to -30 cause Les Claypool can jam on his bass. Govt Mule sounding good too will have to turn in soon but needed some tunes to unwind tonight.
  19. But howsabout that 68-70 Chevy Hot Rod Yellow Chevelle? or GS? the boy is gravitating towards?
  20. Few bands could sound as good live as their live records when I saw them as Rush could. Late 70s live LPs got way better than they ever had been! Got a remastered Frampton Comes Alive that is better than the one I got when I was 10 *13 but that could just be it's a clean disc to spin.
  21. Congrats @mr clean Was your summer of `79 comparable to that famous `69 when we were 6? Mine was! Hit 56 yesterday couldn't post this had to leave the house quickly..... don't feel different now also don't get the looks & etc. I used to either!!
  22. Johnny Hartford sounds reminiscent of Johnny Cash singing at the start of the above tune!
  23. Our free air conditioning is over here too ended overnight Sat. muggy and warm since like it should be in mid June here. **except I never liked the Magnolia blossom smell sticking to me when I was out and about on foot or bicycle as a teen all night.
  24. As a commercial/industrial painter in my "last life" I'll advise you @Marveland @ClaudeJ1 that thinning any kind of alkyd with the solvent (get it? solvent) is bad. Solvent breaks it down and is for cleaning your gear. Penetrol is for the oil paints and varnish, I never looked for it. Polyurethane is pretty fluid and should not need thinning, not sure if the penetrol can be used in it. But if you destroy the chemical structure of a coating before application it won't act as it's supposed to.
  25. Yep @Ceptorman I do recall that and the trouble you've had with it, hope you're getting better. But if you've got the gals taking care of it they're great! Around here it is odd to see the homeowner doing their own yardwork. I think that they are the abnormal, lazy ones, and yep I wash our car once a month too, sometimes twice.
