  1. Here Here! Lotta talk about that today... well twice that I saw. Hope you didn't wake to ugly or could sweet-talk your way to a ride homešŸ¤£ Fantastic play list the last couple of days. Been having blt's a lot too but not like that one until the next time I make one. Geeze 96 + every day for the last week... thing is I'm grateful because it hasn't rained. @dirtmudd you know that's like a bat signal for me!! Play Aerosmith then insult (the sound quality of the LP you do allude to) the most recognized R&R band ever! It's copacetic MTBs sweet sounding self titled from `73 Tull-ish with a southern... somebody plays the flute.
  2. Bad pa paw! Bet they did not fess up to your girls!
  3. I guess they don't call you the Slushie Man for nothing! Some young-ins do some crazy-deadly crap on a dare from facepalm or twitverse and think they know how to party. Unh Uh. They should hang out with someone that was a teen or 20 something in the 1970s, They wouldn't make it until the am
  4. Yep, & I haven't head that name in a loong time.
  5. Well probably better than watching the clock run down with a text box score for the last hour on what could be the last game prior to the Calder Cup Championship round for the hometown team. Now with 6:00 left in OT, at least I had some Yes to listen to until I had to shut it down. *fourth int, and that text box score isn't play by play, 2OT coming up. We won! Going to the AHL Championship!

    The Other Discs

Checkers/Marlies going to OT tonight Checkers up 3-2 in the series, stagnant in the third. No tv, the AHL doesn't have play by play for games. Couldn't go and 4000 empty seats at the coliseum tonight.

    RIP Bart Starr

That's what I read and was reminded of earlier about Starr. On the other hand wonder how the guys that faced the Purple People Eaters fared later on

    The Other Discs

Too hot to finish up trimming the bushes at the patio and around the perimeter...besides it's Sunday. So taking it easy and listening to Quadrophenia for it's entirety, had to change it up some. This will do that just fine. Haven't had this on since the sub got here. Had it set at 48hz, 10 higher than the Klipsch cover, bumped it up to 58 just for the heck of it..... might leave it here for a while. The CXA does a good job handing off the low signals to the sub. And it blends with the speakers, heck straight across from them it is coming from them!
  9. Whaaa? And how many legs does that big sukka have? 10? Or is that two sets of fangs up front? It's an alien! do not click: NSFW NSFChildren NSFSnowflakes bad words ahead Remember Z-Rock was blasted loudly by our military for days 24 hrs a day to pester manuel noriega to give. Think they ended up shelling his palace. Played this on our am z-rock station here back then https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xw-m4jEY-Ns
  10. He he he, we've discussed creepy-crawlers before. Believe me we are kindred spirits here. Do you utter "Die MF'er Die" (infamous Z-Rock station song) when you smush them like I do?
  11. So if that is sandstone of something like that I'd think that bugger is 1 1/2 in diameter?
  12. What's the scale of that little monster? No violin on his back, but I'd squash him all the same!!
  13. And to be ten again and spending the day playing there in and out of the cool shade. Catching craw-dads and salamanders and bringing snakes home in my pockets (not the pointed snout ones).

    RIP Bart Starr

The man was beloved by people that weren't even his teams fans. A legend to any of us that ever loved football, or who were lucky enough to see the complete footage of those mid 60s blizzard bowl games or the "Ice Bowl" *that he ran in the game winning td. RIP Indeed! Mr. Bart Starr šŸˆ
  15. `morning @WillyBob It's Kingsford Natural Professional Competition Briquettes. Whew! That's what they have on sale at the warehouse in two 18# bags for what you'd pay for less than half that much at walmart or anywhere else. Think they just gave a fancy name to their contractor grade product? Never done planking I use the grates. * just searched that convoluted name and most folks at their website said the same thing. Burns hot but too fast. I'll pay more at the walmart next time, lesson learned.
  16. Yes sirree, Webers have always been pretty good. Got one of the big round ones now. Think the charcoal has changed over the last twenty years though, I get the flame to the top of the chimney then dump to direct/indirect cook and it just doesn't last as long as it used to. No I'm not talking about the match-light.
  17. Eastern NC pulled barbeque sandwiches, fried okra, hush puppies and my famous half-sweetened Luzianne iced tea!
  18. Just found some cool offbeat stuff "Dead & Company" Bob, Mickey, Bill with John Mayer and that kid adds a dimension that they never had before. In that vein can't just go to a different genre now. This old record I found a while back was made off of a very good recording. Same era, still listening to some good picking like most of the week here: ** My abstract photo attempts usually cover the title... Originally recorded in `66, they wanted to do some live tracks but threw out the sub-par recording and used these. Good Choice!
  19. It is a fine looking home @avguytx, enjoy.... y'all have waited a long time to get it finished!
  20. Such an awful problem to have. Me I'm tired from being outside working in the yard all day. It's heating up here. Just discovered an old fave revived with John Mayer of all people, Yea he can jam but did not trip my trigger..... until now. Dam* that boy has a good ear!
  21. Nice, we've got stands everywhere the past decades. There were signs down there advertising my utopian dream hometown. So other side of the boulevard I can get the good fresh pork tamales and every kind of fresh pepper I know better than to touch. Could probably find fresh tortillas but they remember my bright red cap so I don't spend too much time in there.
  22. Think I like Mayer now! Like to hear my faves done with him, have to search... He fits in with the band very well, found a bunch "Morning Dew" is on now.
  23. Not the same at all, and fresh? don't get that or fresh pasta anymore. But the bag of Mission tortillas we had lasted five days this week, no signs of life except for montezuma having me turn the ceiling fan up a notch a couple times
  24. Appreciate all the titles you put up here that I know nothing about @Full Range. When I've got another chunk of time to veg out I'll look the last few up! Haven't found a jazz channel on the streamer I could listen to for a long time yet, the R&R channels are easy for me to find.
