This tuner essentially fools your car into thinking it has too little boost, timing and fuel. Suck, bang, blow. MO powa

They recommended JB4 because it's often touted as "undetectable", it's affordable, safe and highs solid gains. I'm sure Dinan is a great choice, but I'm guessing it's not an economical route.
-
I believe that. They are the ONLY approved manufacturer legend has it.
-
NOT TRUE. The behavior of the car does not change at unless you are heavy in the throttle or higher than baseline boost. Please don't post things like this that you have NO idea about. I have driven many JB4 cars. ZERO of them behave in this manner. Who would want that?

George does the VW Audi tuning remotely. Plug and play install, easy with some time. You can email him and ask if he does the tuning for BMW as well or if someone else does. Turn it to stage 1, do some pulls on freeway usually 3rd to 5th gear from memory low to high rpm. Send him the log and hell advise what to change and make sure everything is in the safe parameter.

Accelerated maintenance is where it's at. 5k oil changes, much faster changes on spark plugs mainly. Your stock brakes will suffice for the mean time as long as you aren't redlining the car every time you drive (I don't that). Boosted bmws respond the way Volkswagens do to to tunes.

Yes, not on a BMW but on my golf r. Works extremely well. Tuner is George in South africa. You email him your recorded log and he can tell you what is safe for the car based on recorded parameters. He does plenty of tunes with meth and E85 as well. Highly recommended. Plenty of BMW guys with very quick cars tuned on jb4 as well without pushing your car to the limit and breaking one thing after another.

Ah yes, the Ole go big or go home

@rockhound hope you settled well into your new place. If you are still interested, you have my number and know how to get in touch.

After owning both in the same room with the same amps, I fully agree as I stated to you prior. The 402 is definitely better, but for the cost of my complete speakers with passive crossovers, all you get is the horns and the K691 drivers. These speakers offer fantastic value IMHO.
-
Much higher sensitivity actually. They are a true 104 dB in free space. In room, corner loaded, arguably they should gain 6 dB on top of that for 110. 1 watt tube amp anyone?
-
RF7s? DAMN those are close to the back wall. Glad they bring you joy.

Congrats on your NEW JUBES BTW. Jealous

Don't, yes, or something similar. That's so minor it's meaningless.

Best low budget bookshelf speakers to buy?

Thanks -
Never heard a Levinson amp on horns so I couldn't say. What I will say is that it sounds incredible with my JBLs. Thinning the herd of amps however.

Bump. Priced right and sounds great.

Bump. Klipsch A + Klipsch. Ya gotta try it if you haven't.

IMO, if one is dead, replace both and sell the other unless you intend to sell the speakers soon -

I try, only VERY rarely here. Too many cooks in the kitchen aka geniuses here (I'm not). Good luck my friend. I may chime in again or not. By the morning, you'll have plenty of responses I'm sure
