    Rp-600m

Great; les us know what you think of them. For rear surrounds I have been trying to get a set of RB-75's (unobtainable) and now looking at an RB-81 ii - haha; seller NOT responding so may have to use RP-600M's Suggest you also look at the RC-7's for a center. No longer produced so only available "used." But it was the best center Klipsch ever made (8" woofers and 1.75" horn drivers) whereas the RP504C only has 5.25" woofers (OK; 4 of them) and a 1" horn driver Just got a pair which I use for L/R AVR/TV.
  2. Forgot to tell ... the RF-5's look extremely good (https://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/ele/d/brandon-klipsch-floor-speakers-rf-pair/7485196678.html ), but do NOT have grilles And do not want bare speakers behind me (OK; the "wife.")
  3. Looking for "rears" to replace rear Cornwall's. I am discussing RB-75's and RB-81's with some sellers ... but RS-7's are possibly better Willing to ship to Florida?
  4. Haha; @001 was referring to my setup with dual RC-7's and forgot about your "single" application
  5. Looking to update my system Haha; call it downgrade Currently have Cornwall I's as rears (powered by a separate Yamaha CR-620 from the pre-outs of my Onkyo RZ-TX810). AVR also has dual RC-7's up front with a 15" sub (which I never use). 2-way stereo up front via KPT-904's with a JBL 4722 HF section (powered by a Crown K1). Turn on the CW's maybe twice a year after at least one bottle of wine So, basically overkill and think the wife wants some "smaller" speakers (and would just power them with my AVR). Trying to find some RB-75's as I like the larger horn driver, but they are very hard to find Found some new RS-3's, but completely unfamiliar with these. And ... don't know if the RS series ever came with larger 8" woofers and "larger" horn drivers. Also thinking about using a pair of RC-7's (haha; just got a pair for the front and am very impressed). Appreciate any suggestions. Cheers, Emile
  6. Carl, thanks for the money No; keeping my 904's, but tempted on the Cornwall's (which I bought new a long time ago) ... send me a PM
  7. Well; sounds like you did everything correct, beyond the simple recommendations we gave you. Glad you have an extra Sony AVR to double check. Last resort ... and just guessing here ... is go back to the single amp setup and try again. Good luck
  8. Sure hope it is not a DSP chip problem ... see
  9. Haha; make sure the 8000's are indeed connected to the AVR Sure we have all made mistakes like that
  10. Yes, it does NOT send a signal to the (original position) 8000's. Pull up the manual and find the configuration settings. Should be set to your system, such as 4.1, 5.1, etc. After selecting, check test tones to the individual speakers. Note, might be something as simple as the speakers are "off" or "muted." Let us know
  11. Haha; actually easier to connect the 8000's to wires that were powering other speakers. If "nothing," (unlikely) then your speakers are bad. If "sound," you have an AVR problem - either in the mode settings or your AVR has a problem
  12. Suggest you check out the RC-7. No longer in production, but some available on eBay - sorry; no clue what's available in Mexico The RC-7 has 2x 8" woofers with a 1.75" driver on the horn. Current Klipsch centers have 6.5" (or even smaller) woofers and only a 1" horn driver. Obviously a major downgrade And the RC-7 would be much better when you switch to tower speakers. Just got a pair of RC-7's (using them as L/R AVR/TV speakers). Awesome. They (almost) keep up with my much bigger Klipsch Pro stuff Salud, Emile

    What We Hear

Agree; now the question arises why "some groups of people" love hip-hop, some love country and some love classic rock?
  14. Have 220Wpc on my CF-3's ... and 125Wpc on the JBL CD's from a Yamaha M-45. GREAT sounding unit! Go get the M-65 before it is gone
  15. No clue about the "value" of RB-75's. But, just bought a pair of RC-7's (haha; extra woofer ) for about the same $$'s. Very impressed with them. If you are looking at these, think you ought to consider dual RC-7's
  16. Think it would be great for the OP if the price is right Only thing is the *40 series seems to have a problem with the STK power packs (???) which are no longer available Specs are here ... 60Wps ... https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/yamaha/cr-840.shtml
  17. Running my (rear) Cornwall I's with a Yamaha CR-620. Sound is very, very good. The CR-440 may not have enough "oomph." Suggest you look at the CR-820/1020/etc for main speakers
  18. OK; just listened to some "rock," and Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D. Op.35, by Itzhak Perlman. Very nice indeed; full, well balanced and refined ... haha; $1000 well spend (OK; actually $890) ... guess my ears just had to get used to them Thanks @jjptkd for recommending this setup. And the good part is that my wife won't even notice (the speakers that is; but she won't notice the money spend either ) Jeez, she went to the Indy 500 and probably spend double (Did not go myself; been there, done that and don't like having to fight with 300,000 people ) Almost 5pm ... going to open a bottle of vino and enjoy these "new" speakers. Highly recommend this setup if you don't have room for "bigger ones," or to compliment your 2-way system with some additional AVR/TV speakers. No match for my KPT-904's with JBL HF section ... but actually, they keep up pretty good Cheers, Emile Add-on. Played Beethoven's Fifth, Presto, "Alle Menschen werden Bruder." The vocals and choir is amazing on these
  19. OK; "left" one in place Sounds very good, especially with the volume "up." Not sure if it was worth $1000, but it's only money
  20. Back of the RC-7's is against the wall; not enough room to put them about 2" off the back Also, they would be "very enclosed." On the left section, only have about 2" on the sides and 1/4" on top - thought it might be too "boomy."
  21. OK; hooked up ONE single as a right channel The <500Hz woofer is the "left" one (in the box). Will flip the next (left channel) RC-7 over so they are symmetrical. Sounds pretty good, even with the port holes stuffed Add-on: Know you guys like speakers w/o grilles, but grilles will be "on" before the wife gets home
  22. Just got a pair of RC-7's to use as L/R speakers for tv (horizontally). Learned that one woofer handles freqs below 500Hz, while the other one goes up to 1950Hz ( a 2.5 way tapered array). But ... have no clue if the low freq speaker is the left or the right one. (Haha, of course I can hook them up and then listen, but at 45 lbs each I do not feel like having to lift them multiple times as they are going into a hard to access slot.) Also; what would be better ... low freq woofers on the inside, or outside? Thanks, Emile
