  1. Here is a shot of that Klipsch cane on one of my '59 Shorthorns. Chris
  2. Here is a (bad) photo of cane that I got directly from Klipsch 3-4 years ago. Chris
  3. m00n, nice meeting you. Next time, we'll have to do some listening. Let me know if I can be of further assistance, and good luck with your projects! Chris
  4. m00n, the woofers are K-33-E. The crossovers are type B. I have AlNico EV T-35 tweeters too (no "klipsch" stickers). I also have AlNico Atlas PD5-VH mid drivers, but no K-600 horn lenses. You can have the woofers for $100 each. You can have the tweeters for $75 each. Crossovers are yours for $75 each. The Atlas mid-drivers have new diaphragms and connectors, and would be $125 each if you are interested. Hopefully, someone here can tell you more about the Atlas drivers, as they are sonically excellent! This offer is for m00n ONLY, as part of this transaction. Other than horn lenses, these would be complete! Let me know in advance if you are interested in any of these components. Chris
  5. 1st come, 1st served. m00n, they are yours. Sunday pickup is fine. I will email you my phone number, and you can call me on Sunday for directions. Let me know when you are ready to purchase components, and I might be able to help. I have a pair each of K-33-E woofers, crossover networks, and tweeters that I might be willing to part with (no mids). They wouldn't be free. Chris
  6. It appears that 76scalas is no longer interested. Kieth? Beuller? Anybody? Feel free to contact me if you are interested. They go to the curb on Monday.
  7. Chris, did you replace the woofers in your '67's? My '67 verts have K-33-J's (Jensen). Just wondering. Chris
  8. '67 Cornwalls Silver paint on black pie. '73 La Scalas Silver paint on black pie. Both pairs are Fir Black (Decorator). Chris
  9. I, for one, don't care much about what my music "looks" like, and the D's suit me fine. My first pair of Klipsch speakers were '73 La Scalas, in the same Fir Black finish. Sweet score for you! Chris
  10. They are yours! I got your PM, and will call you to arrange for pickup. Chris
  11. Serial numbers: 19T123 and 19T159. Type C-BR. Stained "fruitwood", maybe. Some chips and scratches, but no structural problems. This would be a perfect project if someone wanted to re-veneer them while they were waiting to buy a beater pair for cheap. No drivers, no networks, no grills. You haul! Please post here first, if interested, and then PM me with LOCAL contact information. Serious replies only, please. Chris
  12. Gilbert, each component has a "tested" sticker with a date on it. FYI Chris
  13. Hi Ed! I am trying to carry on the fine tradition you started with these drivers! Thanks again for your generosity, as it continues to benefit members of this forum. Take care, Chris
  14. Hi Guy, Glad to hear from you. My bid wasn't much higher than the sale price. I had hoped to pick them up for a lot less, but that's just the way it goes sometimes. As soon as these arrive and check out, I will be happy to send the others your way. PM me with your mailing address, and I will respond with a shipping total once they have been mailed. If nothing else, I'm glad this one auction could benefit two forum members! Take care, Chris
  15. Hi Guy, as you know (sorry) I have a pair coming to me soon. Assuming they work properly, I would be happy to mail you a pair for the cost of shipping only. They are far from perfect cosmetically, but sonically excellent. When I first became interested in these drivers, fellow forum member Edwardre mailed me this pair to play around with, and for just the cost of shipping. I would like to continue this tradition of sharing, so let me know your thoughts. The only thing I would ask is for you to pass them on in the future if/when you decide to purchase another pair. Chris
  16. Look also at artists like: Sonny Treadway, The Campbell Brothers, Glenn Lee, and others. The Sacred Steel collections are impressive. www.ropeadope.com www.arhoolie.com
  17. (all matched quads too)!! Chris
  18. My package of Silence arrived today. I truly appreciate your continued dedication to this forum and it's members! Chris
  19. Currently, I have '82 modified Khorns, '73 LaScalas, '67 and '78 Cornwalls, and '59 Shorthorns. For my dining room, the Shorthorns are clearly the BEST option. The components are top-notch, and the cabinets (restored) are beautiful. The people that are dismissing the Shorthorns (especially the ones that have never heard a pair) might be missing out. At prices like that, you could sell the components and trade up to a Cornwall or LaScala, if you didn't like them. For the DIY's in the group, all you need is a different crossover and mid-horn lens, and you've got any vintage Klipsch you want. My two cents. I, for one, love that vintage sound! Chris
  20. Hi Fini! Yes please, and thank you! If Masselli's still have them I would be honored. Let me know if you need my address, and I will PM you. I believe I am looking for 3/4" domes. Chris
  21. Oregonian Classifieds. Section 558
  22. The seller sounded truly disappointed over the phone when I called at lunchtime. Maybe someone died, but maybe he had a LOT of calls, perhaps even offering more money. Chris
  23. By the time I called on this ad (Portland, OR), the items had been sold. Bummer! Hopefully someone here was quicker than me, rather than a re-seller. Klipsch Corner Horns w/McIntosh amp MC-2105, preamp C-26, AR turntable, Dyna FM tuner, Ampex 1100 reel-to-reel & Barslay Cabinet. $1500/OBO Boo Hoo Hoo.
