KAiN64 Well, I am returning them to the store where I bought them, it's still within the 30 day return policy for me. Look I don't know what state your from, but I am here in Oregon. We have a store chain called Good Guys. I have been able to work these guys into some GREAT deals. I got, just so you know, $800 off my original set of speakers which included everything in my sig. I went in yesterday and talked them down of the R7C and R7F. I got them down to $800 per speaker on the R7Fs and $600.00 on the RC-7. If your interested I can send you the name of my sales guy and see what kind of deal he will work with you. I can only imagine with my help you can get the same deal. I am sure you would have to pay for shipping though. If your interested give send me an email though the forums email/message using the little email button at the bottom of this post. I know my sales guy will appreciate it. He made me promise to send him some business. ------------------ the m00n system Update. Well, I think for most people, they would all be fine. But, I like great sounding speakers. The R3 series is very nice, but just does not have quit that sound I am looking for. ------------------ the m00n system RF-3II Front floors RC-3II Center RS-3II Surrounds RSW-12 Subwoofer Harman Kardon AVR 520 Toshiba SD 3205 DVD Samsung 27" Flatscreen c>Microsoft XBOXc> f>
  10. Ya, I am going to upgrade to RF7 and RC7. For now I will stay with my RS-3IIs. I don't see a huge need for upgrading them right now. My biggest concern is my receiver. I hope it can handle those monsters. I should have my upgrade by next weekend. I honestly hope these are not too much for my living room. When I heard them in the store, they were just massive sounding. ------------------ the m00n system RF-3II Front floors RC-3II Center RS-3II Surrounds RSW-12 Subwoofer Harman Kardon AVR 520 Toshiba SD 3205 DVD Samsung 27" Flatscreen c>Microsoft XBOXc> f>
  11. Welp.... There it is. I just spoke to my wife. I tried to pretend that I had already done it. Even though I had not, but got the big, I don't want to hear it, don't want to know I just want it to be done. Upgrade here I come. Now I have to decide.... Do I or do I not get the R7s ------------------ the m00n system RF-3II Front floors RC-3II Center RS-3II Surrounds RSW-12 Subwoofer Harman Kardon AVR 520 Toshiba SD 3205 DVD Samsung 27" Flatscreen c>Microsoft XBOXc> f>
  12. What would be the disadvantage of mixing a RC7 with a pair of RF5's I like my RF3II and RC3II, but for my taste, leaves a bit to be desired. I just heard the RF7. OMG, those things are incredible, but I have a feeling it would be way Way WAY too much sound for my living room, therefore I am thinking about cutting it in the middle. I wish there was an RC5.... As far as the RF5's sound quality, would you say it leans more towards the RF3IIs sound quality or the RF7's or right in the middle. I know the price is about right in the middle. ------------------ the m00n system RF-3II Front floors RC-3II Center RS-3II Surrounds RSW-12 Subwoofer Harman Kardon AVR 520 Toshiba SD 3205 DVD Samsung 27" Flatscreen c>Microsoft XBOXc> f> This message has been edited by m00n on 04-27-2002 at 03:42 PM
  13. Can two RS-3II's be bridged together to act as one rear channel, if I set my receiver to have one rear channel? If so, what kind of sound degregation can I expect if any. With the extra amp I am looking at, I can either go 4X45 watts 8ohms OR 2X100 watts 8 ohms. I was thinking I could use one of the 2X100 to push one rear for movies that don't have 7.1, but that DO have 6.1 I know it sounds odd, but I have my reasons for asking. ------------------ the m00n system RF-3II Front floors RC-3II Center RS-3II Surrounds RSW-12 Subwoofer Harman Kardon AVR 520 Toshiba SD 3205 DVD Samsung 27" Flatscreen c>Microsoft XBOXc> f>

    Wow

That snackguy is a huge can of worms that you just opened up. If you want my opinion, they BOTH have their faults. And more than anything.... THEY NEED TO LEARN TO CO-EXIST! They don't have to like each other, but they need to learn to be neighbors. Oh ya, it does. There are some really cool sounds in the chapter In The Ice Ring In my opinion, REALY cool sound affects. At lest go rent it. I bought it so my son and I could have a comon movie to watch that we will both enjoy. Ya, know, Rugrats just aint my thing. BTW, how do those 7's sound. I am running out of time and am so tempted to exchange my 3II's and get what I really wanted in the first place which is the 7's ------------------ the m00n system RF-3II Front floors RC-3II Center RS-3II Surrounds RSW-12 Subwoofer Harman Kardon AVR 520 Toshiba SD 3205 DVD Samsung 27" Flatscreen c>Microsoft XBOXc> f> This message has been edited by m00n on 04-27-2002 at 09:26 AM

  17. Yep I have been wondering the same. What I have done is run my component directly from my DVD to my TV. From my reciever, I run a dippy RCA plug from my receier to my TV for my OSD. ------------------ the m00n system RF-3II Front floors RC-3II Center RS-3II Surrounds RSW-12 Subwoofer Harman Kardon AVR 520 Toshiba SD 3205 DVD Samsung 27" Flatscreen c>Microsoft XBOXc> f>
