My Pioneer Elite VSX36 is currently in the shop, if you can call it that! I drove 42 miles one way to drop it off at the Authorized repair center. Turns out the Authorized service center is some guy out in the middle of nowhere(Decatur,TN)working out of his garage. I have serious doubts about whether my receiver will ever work again. The guy had no idea what DTS was or DD for that matter. To make matters worse I have continuously tried to call and get nothing but the machine. I wonder if I will ever get it back! Pioneer is going to hear it real soon if something doesn't happen soon. Oh yeah, his wife was one crazy foulmouthed B!tch!!

Hey everyone, I think I got upgradeitis! I know there is alot of experience on this board, so I am going to solicit opinions on amps. The Sherbourn 7/2100A to be specific. I would also appreciate reccomendations in this price range.

I purchased a vsx36tx receiver almost 2 years ago and it laid down on me 2 weeks ago. I am now happy that I bought it from an authorized dealer. I also got a great price $630.00 The amp's MSRP was in the $1400.00 range. I guess what I am trying to tell you is shop around some more. You can probably find the kind of deal you are looking for with some more work.

mdeneen, I have met plenty of people who would not jump in and help, if you are truly honest with yourself so have you. Most peoples' sense of self preservation will not permit them to jump in and help. I have seen men I thought were made of the strongest stuff freeze in the door of a helicopter. I have heard their voices crack with fear on the radio. If these men can have moments like this then I promise MOST people could NOT help at the point of decision. Mitigating your risks is always a good idea, in the military we call that "risk assessment", but your "avoidance strategy" does not account for the knife wielding maniac bearing down on you. Yeah, room size is an issue. My room is 21x28 so I feel your pain. It took 2 RF7's RC7, RSW 15 and my Heresy's pulling duty as L/R surrounds to even get close to what I expected. I am currently thinking about adding another RSW15 to see if I can get where I want to be. Everything is currently driven with vsx36 elite receiver.

I tire of Deen's argument, To suggest that if I were mature (grown up) spiritually, I would not need firearms is ludicrous. The need to conquer,vanquish,defeat and or otherwise win is programmed into your genetic code. All the evidence I need to prove this is to watch my 8 year old son chew a graham cracker into the shape of a handgun and commence to conquering the dinner table. How or why so many of you have chosen Klipsch forums to discuss such things should probably be it's own thread. Tools? yes. Efficient tool. 737 loaded with fuel. Tool right? Happened to me too, I did take a look at the speakers. I do not recall the make of the speakers. Their story was that they had accidentally received an extra set at shipping and were trying to make cash to pocket. I remember the speakers were large. Little did they know I had a pair of Heresys at the house.

I agree performance is serious. You can get in way over your head on a 250 rebel just as quick if not quicker because the bike is not designed for RIDING! The new 600's are very well balanced and will handle in a much more forgiving manner. Best recommendation is to take a MSF course on their 250's; go to a track school rent there bike and then shop for yours."keep it up"

Hey, I haven't posted in a very long time. This subject gets me going. I agree with everyone here except for the buy a older bike train of thought. I hadn't owned a motorcycle for nearly 20 years and recently purchased a CBR 954 RR. My last desperate grab at youth, I suppose. I am truly amazed at how they have improved in handling and power. I think the newer the better. Since you have no experience I do recommend that you stay in the 600cc range. Also get to a good track school as soon as you can. This will force you to buy good equipment and hone you skills in unexpected ways. "keep it up"

I got my first set of Klipsch speakers (76 Heresys) from PFC Wilson 1 week before payday for $100. That was in 1989. He also sold a top of the line Hitachi VCR for the same price. I still have them both. Incidentally, He was damn near killed in the Mogidishu in '93 by an RPG. Damn good soldier, not great at managing his funds though. If you are looking for great deals on high end equipment and live near a military post check the inevitable pawn shop located just outside the gate. Incredible deals to be had if your timing is good. As for my recent purchases, RF7s $1500 RSW-15 $1000 RC7 $500 Pioneer VSX36 $650 I hope this doesn't discourage you. Advice, SHOP until you are satified you can't do any better!

Everyone is giving great advice. This eact same thing happened to me about 3 weeks ago. I spoke with my dealer and I had a brand new RSW-15 3 days later. In my experience KLIPSCH stands behind everything they sell with unwavering commitment!

John, My Heresys' are old '79 I think, never the less they are still great speakers. ( bulletproof as well) Don't really want to cut holes in them if it can be avoided. They are pulling duty as L/R surrounds right now, just not at the proper height. A box to set them on that would help bass response would be great. djk, are you trying to tell me that such a box exists and is all ready commercially available? AudioF, Only about 10 hours on the RF-7s' I guess we will see what happens as they break in. P.S. Just got notification that my new RSW-15 is here and waiting for me to pick it up. KLIPSCH, thank you that is what I call customer sevice/satisfaction!!!
