Can´t tell you what happened here in the last past weeks so quickly ...the modem was blown and a nightmare story to get a new one, many many cable business, my own gear and rack rebuilding works at home, and so on. But I´m fine ..thanx so far Dave ..How about yours @Dave1291 , @JohnJ , @Full Range , @AndreG. ?

It´s done @Full Range 4 hours of work today ..... origin layout after my moddys Completion with Mundorf 4 x 1.0 uF 450 V Mundorf Evo Caps , 2 x 0.1 uF Mundorf Supreme Silver/ Gold Oil Caps 400V , 2 x 0.1 uF Mundorf Evo Caps 450V & 2 x 0.1 uF 650V also Mundorf Evo Caps & 6 x Silver Micas 1000uF 500 V plus assembly. After a few hours of operation it´s clear that the DYNACO PAS 4 is a worthy successor to the legendary high-end components from the 1970´s traditionell DYNACO Line of products. He plays now in heaven´s League . I `m going to continue the moddys with ELNA Silnic II or Nichicon filter Elcos , I will see in some month ...

Despite my satisfaction with the hybrid combination with my SS Powerstage Marantz SA11-S3, I could not let it go. The knowledge alone that there is still something going on, according to the moddys from the American DYNACO forum and subsequent euphoric enthusiasm of those who have done it,...it left me no peace in the head. The curiosity was too great , so I stared the moddys today . Yeah you´re right ...at the moment I´ll keep him like he is even if I got all caps & micas here to start up. But he sounds so excellent and is fully equipped with Wima caps . Gonna change the optical design as well with new silver poti bottoms and new silver device stands,you´ll see in a couple of weeks

I bought a new vintage Pretube amplifier a DYNACO PAS 4 The preamp is equipped with a matched pair Electro Harmonix Goldpin & Gold Grid 6DJ8 NoS .The phono section with a matched pair 12AX7 Old Novosibirsk Golden Grid NoS 1972 + 2x JJ 6DJ8 Gold tubes NoS. Gonna modify him soon with Mundorf Silver / Gold and Mundorf Evo Caps as well as Silver MIcas He´s fireing the ss power stage from my marantz pm11-S3 So now i can play 1. tube preamplifier > tube monos 2. tube preamp > transistor output stage 3. transistor preamplifier > tube monos 4. transistor preamp > transistor power amp What shall I need more ........

I´m using this tool as well for my tonearm alignment , works perfect ! I really can recommend this tool to everyone whose using a TT and owns a lot of different cartridges mounted on headshells

My new generation SolidCore Phono Cables They consist of OFC solidcore conductors a 0.75 mm, heat shrink tubing over them, the shielding outsourced, the solidcore conductors pulled through Teflon tubes and lightly braided together. The shielding runs outside in the fabric braid, except for the unshielded one, where I used a conventional fabric tube.

The Influence of room acoustics on the listening experience

Based on a discussion in another thread about how to place La Scala in your listening room I´ll copy a short instruction guideline here as well as the owners manual for Hertage Speakers as pdf file. PLACEMENT Your La Scala Loudspeakers will perform well in a variety of locations but best results will be achieved using the following general guidelines: • Place on a common wall 6 to 15 feet apart. • Position them equidistant from the wall behind the speakers. Equidistant height above the floor with the high frequency drivers at seated ear height if wall or cabinet mounted. • Angle speakers toward the listener and even with or forward of any adjacent obstructions. • Placing them near a corner or wall provides the greatest amount of bass while moving the speakers away from room boundaries reduces bass energy. • Asymmetrical placement of a pair of speakers from adjacent side walls can smooth room-induced bass unevenness. • Experiment with the above guidelines to suit your taste and to compensate for your room's acoustic characteristics. 39687924_la-scala-ii.pdf -
