Had a bunch of recent additions lately, but not a lot of time to upload pics. So if you guys dont mind I'm a gonna blow up this thread with some new coolness. Some of this may be available soon on the garage sale thread- I've been picking up a lot of the cool gear available to me within a two hour or so drive to be able to check it out and share with you guys my fellow Klipschmaniacs. So here goes to start a pair of Dynaco A25's restored(ish) sound incredible just ugly job under the grilles. oh yeah and i might have caught a pic of one of the two marantz 2238's i snagged recently. Gonna be bringing them to my tech this week for a check-up and possible re-cap.

Wowsa!! Thanks for the leads guys!!!! Really really appreciate it. Had no idea of either of these vendors- looks like I’ma gonna be stocking up on RCA & Amperex 7199’s quite a few other small signal, power, and rectifiers. Got an OG Hickok tube tester recently- fully rebuilt and freshly calibrated and have a military tube tester being calibrated for even more exact measurements. As I run through trial and rolling some tubes I’ll be offering some of my spares/extras here to everyone with shots of the measurements so you guys can get dibs on super matched tubes.

Hi all! Recently picked up a serviced & upgraded dynaco st70 that will be a part of the permanent collection. That being said, i’d Like to source a few pair of 7199 tubes while I still can as well as a pair of 6u8 to 7199 pin adapters as I would like to keep the pins in the current (original) configuration. yeah I was surprised as well. It was shipped on a pallet. Got it sent to the business not the house so I'm stuck on getting them home in the box until I get some help. I'm a big 'ol boy, but not like that. May have to just separate them and take them home individually.

Well, yesterday actually, but got to play with her today. She sounds puuurdy! I know it's cliche', but has a very tube-like sound. (probably means needs a re-cap, lol) I've always been into more of "new HIFI" but this vintage kick I've been on has felt mighty rewarding. Rooster

Yes on the “Cuban Cigar” mystique being attributable to the illicit nature of them in the U. S. Comparing a number of “Cubans” that I’ve had (other than one particularly nuanced bolivar) I have to say that I prefer many Rocky Patel and CAO sticks.

Received today! Looks to be in mint condition. Can’t wait to get it home tonight to try out with some new equipment that I was just notified got delivered to the house today!! And with some of my ol’ favorite pieces. Gorgeous cable- wonder how it compares to the real deal. Don’t you all love having systems so refined, that changing of even the associated cabling can make a very noticeable/perceivable effect on the sound/presence/resolution/depth/soundstage, etc..!?! 100% Like I said i’m relatively new here, just getting back into hi-end audio after a 15 year hiatus. I haven’t had the first bad experience with anyone here on the klipsch forum, but have in the past been deceived/taken advantage of in other areas. I was just looking for some confirmation from other members to allay my worries. I just like to do pay for purchase to protect myself should I again were to become a victim. I meant no offense, and would gladly like to do business with you-as you say your reputation is impeccable I now see. If you still have the mint p300 and c200 I would like to purchase those from you and can make payment arrangements to your liking and preference. It seems as you will be out of town and without a phone for a bit, but you have my number, when you get back hit me up at your leisure if they are still available. Man that is gorgeous. Don’t know what something like that would be worth, but from a collectors standpoint the condition would have to catch a premium. Love the 50’s/60’s era design. If I were in Florida i’d have to drop by and check this out.

Do you know if both audio outputs can be made/are live at the same time?

So..., no idea if it has been re-capped..., hmmm. Is there any distortion whatsoever when adjusting the volume? Have you tried all of the inputs and are they all working? Anyone know about what it would cost (a round-a-bout range) to get one of these re-capped and spec’d Back to new? Also, these have dual pre-amp outputs on the back-anyone know if they are both live, and both variable (for possible bi-amping)? I’d be interested to give this pre a shot, but don’t need another money pit/project to sit around till I got time for it. Thanks!
