ghetto-rigged subwoofer project is a success. take one guitar amp... two fisher floorstanding speakers with 15" woofers and some lamp chord= boom boom lol... i want an SVS >=( well i have to say its better than nothing... it has usable output levels in my room... doesnt go very low... but its better than nothing. i just watched some LOTR for the first time with any sort of low-end and i feel like i just took a hit in a football game, phewwww oh well... this summer i'll be working and will be able to save up enough to either buy an SVS CS-Ultra or build something

rooms do make a big difference. the room in my basement isnt very large, but is basically shaped like a miniature movie theater. the previous owner of our house used it as a recording studio... which is cool. it has the little room off the the side with two windows looking in >=) we drywalled those up though... if i had a digicam i'd post some pics. But my friend has a full Paradigm Studio100 setup... and no subwoofer though i dont have a sub either, and have bookshelfs all around, but as far as midrange-trebble, my system can easisly compete with his, because his room is not very sound at all. Although his system can defeintly best mine in output by a large margin and overall sound quality... but then again he spent at least 5x as much as me so... its all good >=) when i build/buy a sub this summer, and perhaps upgrade to klipsch bookselfs all around... we'll see then >=)

lol... if you really have to send it back just build an IB subwoofer... they can be cleverly disguised as air conditing vents, etc. and some guy made an IB sub that hit 4hz at almost 90 decibles i think... hehe

i'm sorry but that question kina made me feel wierd... i doubt you'd be concerned with low frequency sounds... when your running for your life with the world crashing around you and the screams of a thousand innocent people in your ears...

yea our new princepal is a bit of a skin-nazi... she has this policy about "no midrift" which sucks.. but most girls just ignore it and there are so many of them proudly displaying thier abdominals that she just cant do much about it... ah teenage years... although one girl was wearing pants that slit up to the waist on the sides... she had to sit in the nurses office all day. and she hates the low rise jeans my girlfriend wears. being late in our school is no big deal... specially not for me, the teachers like me. i've been on time to spanish like 16 times this year lol. and we do have hall monitors, but i have fun going places passless and trying to either talk/sneak my way around.... more fun that way >=) aiiii well i'm gonna head to school now and talk with my guidance counselor, if he lets me attend school and wait to be evaluated thursday by a shrink that shares a mutual friend with my mother, then i'll go to him... otherwise its off to bridges mental crisis center for me!. IMA GO GET ME A HEADCHECK!

i am extreamly happy with my ~450 dollar Maranetz SR4200 very warm sound, nice features, extreamly nice appearnce. like... 4 digital inputs, plenty of analog input/ouput, etc etc the DSP chip sounds very nice too

eh today in the hallways one way or the other i said "i'm gonna kill myself now" and my friend replied "not before i do!" we were laughing and saying it in an obviously joking manner... but a teacher took it seriously and wrote us up. so i go to see the guidance counselor who until today called me "john" they call my parents, talk to me, whole big shiznit... they wouldnt let me go back to class.. i missed two periods. i wound up chilling on the beds by the nurses office with the other kid... our mothers had to pick us up. now i have to spend 2 hours being "evaluated" to make sure i'm not a danger to myself... such a bother. fortuantly my parents arent mad at me, nor do they think i'm suicidle because IM NOT!!!! its just this damn zero-tolerance policy that is absolute BULLEXCRIMENT!! i suppose its worth it to save a life if someone was seroius... but major inconvience to me. i'm just mad because we were so clearly joking, and it got blow totally out of porportion. now i cant go back to school without the evaluation.. and i'm worried i'll be mis-evaluated somehow and they'll think i'm suicidle! *sigh* the messes i get myself into

i think you might be dissatisfied with the KSW-15 for music only because it is known to be boomy, and lacks the definition of the RSW line... since you are mostly music, if you do not listen at especially high SPL's you could go for a RSW-10 mabey?

personally i dont like wilson speakers much, i heard some WATT Puppies and would not have taken them over a pair of hersies. hell i liked SF-2s better. i think they are a very gimmicky company, more for prestige than sound.
