    Aahh, so you do know…

I say that because I’m from there and that’s all anyone ever called them.

My Grandma would say that you don’t eat a can you pee in. As we would laugh at people who said it while shelling pecans from the tree she planted as a girl. Lost her 6 years ago. Still have the tree though.

So a deal came up for  a pair of KG4-WO's, got em for 340. (SN's 8514562/3)   Compared to the heresy 1.5, definitely a different sound, much warmer. For some stuff it seems better other stuff the heresy wins out

aside from a cap kit anything I should look to be updating?

Just make sure the cabinet is tight. Good deal for walnut!

It's always better to be a smartass than a dumbass.

As for the question above, where does a "numbnuts" fit in?

    Or better a whole *** than a half ***?

I have researched the HGS18THX Ultra 2, only found 1  sold in the last 2-3 years and sold for $2200.00 before that last one sold for $1780.00

I have a Velodyne 18. It’s not the THX, but was a much better bargain than that. It would certainly be hard to replace for the money.

i am thinking a tube amp and a couple of rel subs in the future.
So in the meantime i might just experiment with a few inches here and there😅

I always say the best stands for Heresy are subwoofers.

I saw that the 7.2 slimline has 50w and the premium 7.2 by marantz has 100w. The slimline obviously is cheaper but will the 50w be enough to drive the towers or would I be better off spending the extra money for 100w.

100 watts or better is what I suggest.

  8. I’m sure you’ll get lots of opinions on this. My setup isn’t quite that, but close. I have a Marantz that’s a few years old and it serves me well. I tried a Yamaha last year and hated it. 2 Sonys before that. I won’t buy another Sony…..

I recently acquired some vintage 1980 LaScala's. I immediately called Klipsch to order a pair of fresh K33 woofers.

The crossovers were tired and I think leaking so I upgraded the x-overs.

After listening to the speakers they seemed too bright and a bit shrill with a tab bit of distortion.

Is the answer as simple as Do I replacing my diaphragms in all my horns or is it a problem with the x-over?

    Please advise.

    I’d double check the crossovers.
