  5. Roadsongs is the second live album by The Derek Trucks Band, released in 2010. The album features many songs off the band's most recent album, Already Free. The album was recorded over two nights in April 2009 at Chicago's Park West. For the album, The Derek Trucks Band was joined by a horn section consisting of Paul Garrett (Trumpet), Mace Hibbard (Saxophone), and Kevin Hyde (Trombone). This is #606 of 1500. Shhhhh, mummm's the word. Don't break my bubble w/that "How do ya know what it is and if it's analog to analog of if memorex is involved." No lava lamp yet either but it is a VERY groovy kick-butt double gatefold!
  6. Yup, I heard that too now that you mentioned it. Guess it had a few good notes left in it when SRV got it.
  7. Christopher Cross? Cross released his self-titled debut album, Christopher Cross, on Dec. 27, 1979.[10] Billboard Hot 100 top 20 hits from this album included "Ride Like the Wind" (featuring backing vocals by Michael McDonald), "Sailing", "Never Be the Same", and "Say You'll Be Mine" (featuring backing vocals by Nicolette Larson). "Ride Like the Wind" hit number two on the U.S. Hot 100, while "Sailing" topped the chart for one week.[2] "Never Be The Same" went number one on the Adult Contemporary chart. Cross, the album and the song "Sailing" were nominated for six Grammy Awards in 1981, and won five.[11] Cross was the first artist in Grammy history to win all four general field awards in a single ceremony, bringing home Record of the Year ("Sailing"), Album of the Year (Christopher Cross), Song of the Year ("Sailing"), and Best New Artist at the 23rd Annual Grammy Awards.[a] This feat was not replicated for 39 years, until Billie Eilish won all four awards at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards in 2020.[12][13] In addition, "Sailing" won for Best Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist(s). Christopher Cross has been certified platinum five times in the U.S., selling over 5 million copies.[14] Later in 1981, Cross released "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)", co-written by Burt Bacharach, which was the main theme for the 1981 film Arthur. The song won the Oscar for Best Original Song in 1981,[15] and was nominated for, but did not win three Grammys.[16][b] In the U.S., it reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and on the Hot Adult Contemporary charts in October 1981, remaining at the top of the Hot 100 for three weeks; it also was a top-ten hit in several other countries. The song became the second and last American number-one hit by Christopher Cross
  8. Well, by golly I guess I'll have to throw it on now. It's been a while!
  9. Sounds great MeloOne! Thanks!
  10. Hit the pile and stuck out my thumb. Pulled this one out. Man does she have some pipes! Double gatefold and it's loaded! Live from Austin TX is the fourth album and the first live album by American blues artist Susan Tedeschi, released in 2004.[1]
  11. Just unzipped this one a bit ago... Man can she rip it on the vocals.
  12. THAT'S what I don't understand. There are concrete slabs thru the river and they can SEE it's high so why chance it? I actually have another one somewhere of a woman who walked out and left her car sitting. Tow truck drivers have to wade out and hook to something underwater to just drag them out. After a couple days rain I usually take a drive out and around the park nosin for fools. lol
  13. No water rescues around here this summer. There are two ways into the park here. Drive around it or take a couple streets off the main drag and down the hill and thru the river. 90% of the time the water is low and it's simple but after a rain the river naturally rises. Young kids and women always seem to try to make it thru. Some do and some don't. Others stall out and sit there or crawl out and sit on the roof til someone shows up to pull them out. Caught this one a couple years ago. lol Italian place about 15 miles south has that on the menu. It's great and I usually add fried eggplant to it. I eat all the eggplant and a bit of spaghetti then take the rest home. Their menu is killer and the food is fantastic.

    What I Got Today!

None better back in the day @Schu. I think their kids are still running the light show and their parents have passed. They worked the Are You Experienced tour w/Jimi and many others.
  17. Chicago 1981, Muddy Waters at his Checkerboard Lounge and in walk the Stones? Ha! Pretty amazing back story right here: https://www.udiscovermusic.com/stories/for-one-night-only-at-the-checkerboard-lounge/ Great double LP with Bob Clearmountain waving his magic wand??? The Stones love the blues so why not leave one venue, fly into Chitown and crank this one out for the heck of it? It's all about family. NOW if you read the story you'll see what I'm talking about. lolol Muddy passed in 83 or 84. Guaranteed you'll have your groove shortly into it. You want it? Go get it! Thank me later!

    Stripper pole goes up next!
  19. So he's safe now or??? lol This place is a District HQ for Troopers and you can hear those guys hammerin those new Dodge engines heading south outtta town running hot. Just lights and no sirens on this stretch til they have to slow down for a light about 3 blocks south. Kinda tough to out run those things. Sounds like a swoosh and poof they're gone.
  20. I can't even FIND it that's how bad it is! lol
