  1. Kinda just hanging while listening and not posting too much. Cranked out some Queen the other day, which worked to sooth the beast. Then last night my buddy decided to stop so had to step my game up just a bit. Love sitting back and watching his nonchalant reactions. First the foot starts tappin then his head and neck start to twitch, finally it's the death quiver! THEN he pops the question! Who was that? hahahahaha Hit him HARD w/the first lp. hahaha Lil John Mayall and his "No Turning Back" is just like most. First side slow and easy and side 2 reels 'em in. Kinda like fishin. They ALWAYS or most times swallow the hook. From 69 after the break up of the Bluesbreakers in 68. Do some research and see if ya know anyone other than EC who was in the Bluesbreakers. Talk about a line-up? This is from Bill Graham's Fillmore East and Mayall decided to drop the heavy guitar AND drums. Funny he was gettin his jam on midway thru side 2 before he realized there were no drums in the LP. hahahaha GOTCHA! Fantastic lp if you can find it. Next up a lil EC just for giggles and to let him listen and slow his heart rate down while he caught his breath! lolol Then right back up there while I kinda smirked inside! Finished him off with this one! He had to ask who it was Ahhhhhgain! lol He's a great guy and a good friend. He does a nice job on his guitar w/the guys on jam night. I just love workin on him though. Loves to play his head bangin rock loud n proud ALL the time. A real Jeff Healey kinda guy. On the stage lookin at the crowd thru a chicken wire screen while he plays.
  2. Got about 6" of snow here yesterday, buddy back-dragged the drive w/his plow sometime so I went out, fired up the big blower and cleaned it up last evening. Looks like a couple more last night so gonna go for another frigid walk up and down the drive soonish. Can I borrow that stick @grasshopper?
  3. Awwww come on Neil. Show him some love. Dick is legendary! Watched him hit 78 free throws before a game once @ OSU. EVERYone inside early was counting them. He's a good guy and knows hoops. Just his style doing color work. Walton? Now he's a piece of work! 😂
  4. Grands are gone and had to regain part of my sanity last evening. Cranked the LS for about 5 hours and I was good to go! Woke up to a couple inches of crusty snow, looks like 20-30's all week here so the heck with it! Coffee is on and I'm thinking about a playlist for today. Might have to watch some hoops this afternoon with no sound. Just gimme the tunes I know what's happening in the ball game. hahaha
  5. Yea, bowling is crazy now. All the lanes have bumpers installed ya just hook and pull up, no scorekeeping since it's all automatic. Just throw the ball and it posts automatically. They both know enough to stay outta the ball return so no worries there. This guy the oldest lives with IS a bowler He's 6'3 and just lays them down and walks away. The other nite in a league he rolled another 300. Think that it's 23 or 24 now. He's bowling outta town today and she wanted to go with him so it works for me. Back to normal around here this evening if I'm lucky. lol
  6. Got the grands last night and I'm grounded til after lunch then I'm taking them bowling. Pizza last nite and bowling today $50. That's AFTER I make breakfast. Sausage, choc chip pancakes w/strawberries and whipped cream. I'm sure that's not happening until after I get some coffee down. In the meantime it's Nicktunes and constant bickering between the two while they sit and play their electronics, which drive me insane. Yea, it'll sort at some point after I fish a charge cord out from under the couch. 😂
  7. We got ya Sunday @ 3 on CBS. I'm not to optimistic though. OSU scoring/defense is hot and cold. One minute ahead by 10-15 then 4 minutes later they're down by 10. Ya can't win playing streaky like that. Who knows what will shake out. Tom's one heckuva Coach.
  8. Thinking I was about 29 when that blizzard hit. It sure was cold though! @grasshopper better be nice to her! I lucked out today and got to schedule my covid vac for next Wednesday. So now we have the African version to deal with too and "they" are saying we might have to take a booster shot for that too? Ok, one Wednesday, another after that then a booster? No problemo! What's your Doc's name again? 😂
  9. Lil bit of Justin Johnson and the boys in Cash Cabin near Hendersonville, TN. Yup, Johnny built it and it's now John Carter Cash's. Lotsa mystic right there to be sure! Now please don't cup the mic just sang it!
  10. Decided last summer to grab what I hadn't read so walked outta Barnes & Noble w/8. Two I'd read so praying they save me some money and let me return them. Who knows but I've read most of his stuff. It moves and gives me something to do for about 3 days. lol Saved my receipt so gonna have to go back and fill some holes at some point. Maybe something else will catch my eye. Worthlessness can be a good thing I guess.
  11. I did all the reading I ever wanted to do in college & the military. I still enjoy a good read though. I've been hooked on Brad Thor's stuff the past couple years. He always seems to have some good stuff that moves and relates to some of the black op stuff going on in the world today. It's some fun stuff that moves. Nothing too analytical for me anymore!
  12. All I can tell you is it was cold as chit and people truly ARE stupid! Yes, I'm the man, the myth and the legend! 😂 🤣 😂
  13. Snow/cold temp stories? Spent a week in it during Ohio's blizzard of '78. Want some stories? Neither do I but I've never seen anything like it and prolly never will again. Did help a nurse who lived out in the country deliver her neighbor's baby, helped pop countless cars out of 10' drifts w/a tow truck, checked on older people who's single story country homes were almost drifted over and tons of other stuff. Funny that so many people thought Army trucks had heaters in them. hahahaha This is from Mansfield about 25 minutes West. Had enough cold & snow for the rest of my life that week. Funny to look back on it today. Cabin Fever? EVERYone had it and all I wanted to do was crawl in my nice warm bed! Time to make some coffee and try to schedule my Covid vaccine! Ugh!
  14. @grasshopper asked the youngest she sent a couple pics of mud covered highways w/snow in the mountains. She said it wasn't bad there. 6-8 inches of snow wouldn't be bad for her. Zooooom right thru it! lol
  15. Just got this in the mail yesterday and I'm pretty much speechless as to what I've just heard. IF you can believe that! I've known this guy for years, have everything he's ever done, love his wife and just can't say enough about his work. Ya might just have seen him a few years ago when his "shovel guitar" pretty much went viral. Justin Johnson made the transition to Nashville wanting to fulfill every artist's dream. Hooked up with Johnny Cash's son, John Carter Cash and his wife. Recorded several albums/cd's @ the Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville with so many great "old" guys like Bootsy Collins and session dudes that Johnny knew and used. So by golly they did it! Formed "The Cash Collective" and put out an album called "Hey Crow!" My thoughts? Don't hesitate if you want vinyl cause copies are limited, cd's are just that, cd's! Check their merch stores. Great lp! So much of Johnny and June in John Carter Cash. Justin just rollin along
  16. @MeloManiac See what ya started??? It's on YOU brother! Had a few new ones here to unzip. Don't know where I'm gonna put 'em though. Gotta get another shelf up SOON! Had this "best of" album ONCE! Thinking @MicroMara must have borrowed it in his first life! Released in 1969 after they split in 1968. "Communique" released in 1979 hit the charts well in every country except the US where it peaked @ 11. Proof that these Germans are clueless about what they're hearing since it hit #1 there! 😂 "Love Over Gold" seemed to start their true climb here in the US reaching 19 on the Billboard charts before being certified gold. Mark Knopfler was gaining the recognition he deserved. Even though it was only given a 4 of 5 star rating I, for the most part, enjoy it very much. Knopfler is struttin his stuff and breaking away from his "norm." Their 4th released in 1982.

  18. Hand her a shovel and she might not like it so much. hahaha Will be slush or frozen by evening w/your temps. Just go find a shovel and spray it down with some Pam and wait for her to ask. Safer that way maybe. 😂

    What I Got Today!

Agree but she was stone cold sober. Didn't drink or smoke dope. Just a lil ditzy. It happens. Now better get back to the topic. Sorry to hi-jack the thread.

    What I Got Today!

Snowmobiles are fun up North in Michigan. One local bar owner lost his head 25 years ago running at warp 3 trashed. One single strand of barbed wire running on someone's farm and he didn't see it. Another good looking ditzy chick went up with a group a few years ago and after riding wanted to drive one. The guys hooked her up and off she went with them. Panicked somehow and opened up the throttle and couldn't get back in control of it. Hit a tree full throttle and broke her neck. Beautiful woman I knew well along with her girls and their families. Many around here have them and head North every winter and ride around here all the time. Think I'd rather break a leg skiing.
  21. LOL, yup. Loaded w/oldtimer's hot sauce. Let it snow. Who cares? Well Mike maybe but not me. Got anything happening your way or all quiet? We always get your weather it seems.
  22. Yup comin right at ya Mike! Better you than me. Got about two inches so far for the year here. I don't even think about starting the blower up unless there's 4-5 out there. I'm good!
  23. Welcome to the forum James! Sit HARD on that gold card in your wallet with these guys! 😂
