  1. Lil bit of Justin Johnson and the boys in Cash Cabin near Hendersonville, TN. Yup, Johnny built it and it's now John Carter Cash's. Lotsa mystic right there to be sure! Now please don't cup the mic just sang it!
  2. Decided last summer to grab what I hadn't read so walked outta Barnes & Noble w/8. Two I'd read so praying they save me some money and let me return them. Who knows but I've read most of his stuff. It moves and gives me something to do for about 3 days. lol Saved my receipt so gonna have to go back and fill some holes at some point. Maybe something else will catch my eye. Worthlessness can be a good thing I guess.
  3. I did all the reading I ever wanted to do in college & the military. I still enjoy a good read though. I've been hooked on Brad Thor's stuff the past couple years. He always seems to have some good stuff that moves and relates to some of the black op stuff going on in the world today. It's some fun stuff that moves. Nothing too analytical for me anymore!
  4. All I can tell you is it was cold as chit and people truly ARE stupid! Yes, I'm the man, the myth and the legend! 😂 🤣 😂
  5. Snow/cold temp stories? Spent a week in it during Ohio's blizzard of '78. Want some stories? Neither do I but I've never seen anything like it and prolly never will again. Did help a nurse who lived out in the country deliver her neighbor's baby, helped pop countless cars out of 10' drifts w/a tow truck, checked on older people who's single story country homes were almost drifted over and tons of other stuff. Funny that so many people thought Army trucks had heaters in them. hahahaha This is from Mansfield about 25 minutes West. Had enough cold & snow for the rest of my life that week. Funny to look back on it today. Cabin Fever? EVERYone had it and all I wanted to do was crawl in my nice warm bed! Time to make some coffee and try to schedule my Covid vaccine! Ugh!
  6. @grasshopper asked the youngest she sent a couple pics of mud covered highways w/snow in the mountains. She said it wasn't bad there. 6-8 inches of snow wouldn't be bad for her. Zooooom right thru it! lol
  7. Just got this in the mail yesterday and I'm pretty much speechless as to what I've just heard. IF you can believe that! I've known this guy for years, have everything he's ever done, love his wife and just can't say enough about his work. Ya might just have seen him a few years ago when his "shovel guitar" pretty much went viral. Justin Johnson made the transition to Nashville wanting to fulfill every artist's dream. Hooked up with Johnny Cash's son, John Carter Cash and his wife. Recorded several albums/cd's @ the Cash Cabin Studio in Hendersonville with so many great "old" guys like Bootsy Collins and session dudes that Johnny knew and used. So by golly they did it! Formed "The Cash Collective" and put out an album called "Hey Crow!" My thoughts? Don't hesitate if you want vinyl cause copies are limited, cd's are just that, cd's! Check their merch stores. Great lp! So much of Johnny and June in John Carter Cash. Justin just rollin along
  8. @MeloManiac See what ya started??? It's on YOU brother! Had a few new ones here to unzip. Don't know where I'm gonna put 'em though. Gotta get another shelf up SOON! Had this "best of" album ONCE! Thinking @MicroMara must have borrowed it in his first life! Released in 1969 after they split in 1968. "Communique" released in 1979 hit the charts well in every country except the US where it peaked @ 11. Proof that these Germans are clueless about what they're hearing since it hit #1 there! 😂 "Love Over Gold" seemed to start their true climb here in the US reaching 19 on the Billboard charts before being certified gold. Mark Knopfler was gaining the recognition he deserved. Even though it was only given a 4 of 5 star rating I, for the most part, enjoy it very much. Knopfler is struttin his stuff and breaking away from his "norm." Their 4th released in 1982.

    Jokes?

  10. Hand her a shovel and she might not like it so much. hahaha Will be slush or frozen by evening w/your temps. Just go find a shovel and spray it down with some Pam and wait for her to ask. Safer that way maybe. 😂

    What I Got Today!

Agree but she was stone cold sober. Didn't drink or smoke dope. Just a lil ditzy. It happens. Now better get back to the topic. Sorry to hi-jack the thread.

    What I Got Today!

Snowmobiles are fun up North in Michigan. One local bar owner lost his head 25 years ago running at warp 3 trashed. One single strand of barbed wire running on someone's farm and he didn't see it. Another good looking ditzy chick went up with a group a few years ago and after riding wanted to drive one. The guys hooked her up and off she went with them. Panicked somehow and opened up the throttle and couldn't get back in control of it. Hit a tree full throttle and broke her neck. Beautiful woman I knew well along with her girls and their families. Many around here have them and head North every winter and ride around here all the time. Think I'd rather break a leg skiing.
  13. LOL, yup. Loaded w/oldtimer's hot sauce. Let it snow. Who cares? Well Mike maybe but not me. Got anything happening your way or all quiet? We always get your weather it seems.
  14. Yup comin right at ya Mike! Better you than me. Got about two inches so far for the year here. I don't even think about starting the blower up unless there's 4-5 out there. I'm good!
  15. Welcome to the forum James! Sit HARD on that gold card in your wallet with these guys! 😂
  16. High of 42 today "they" say but tomorrow it's goin right back down. She can have all the snow she wants. Patience is a virtue. It'll melt! Coffee's great and the chili is in the crockpot! I'm good
  17. Hahahaha, Johnboy you're a trip. Throwin some shade at my buddy right now who's workin his lil fingers off playing with his cell phone! hahaha 😎 😂
  18. Ha! About time you surfaced brother! Southern Florida rock? Pffffft! For you? I almost gave up so today I've been flying solo! FINALLY got to sit down and relax a bit. Unzipping a few too! RSD find of a previously unreleased lp of him doing a radio talk show in Cleveland. Not too shabby either. Better than listening to the Cleveland Browns! Dropped this off at the framer and she just finished it. Gonna be a shrine in here when I'm done. Bring your beads so you can run thru them while listening! Unplugged is a 1992 album by Eric Clapton, recorded at Bray Studios, England in front of an audience for the MTV Unplugged television series. It includes a version of the successful 1991 single "Tears in Heaven" and an acoustic version of "Layla". It won six Grammy awards at the 35th Annual Grammy Awards in 1993 and became the bestselling live album of all time, and Clapton's bestselling album, selling 26 million copies worldwide. Soooo good! IF you like Rory Gallagher ya better jump while ya can. He kills it! Buddy is on the way soooo at least things will be nice and warm when he shows up! Southern rock... John boy, John boy! 😂 About time you surfaced!
  19. @Full Range I always enjoy reading your signature list. That "highly modified" on your LS gets me every time! hahaha Now about that "modified" crossover you have, which naturally complements your "highly modified" LS so nicely... 😂 😂 I know where you live and I WILL find you some day! 😂 😎

    Jokes?

    Look closely Zappa fans!
  21. @Pete H ya took the words right outta my mouth. Audio Advisor ugh. He should have used that subscription money for cables, coffee, potato vodka or even a new toaster. I know darn well I'll never see a toaster outta this place. (shhh quiet it's reverse psychology and also DUCK SEASON! just might work in here)
  22. Nick and Urban? They have just a bit of history btwn them yanno. hahaha Research that one in your spare time and you'll see an even bigger picture. They're both alike. No love lost w/OSU either since Nick was an assistant under Earle Bruce til Bruce fired him. hahaha OSU just lost Greg Mattison their Co-D coordinator to retirement and Urban poached prolly one of the best player personnel dudes in the country but said he's not touching anyone else. Coach Day has that part under control but is more concerned with portal transfers and the recruiting class of 2021, which is LOADED already. 2022 is also loaded w/a couple guys who should have a definite impact. Fields is gone along w/Sermon, linebacker, few linemen and our DE's. We're covered but looking at LB's and D-backs for the most part. Ex NFL coaches are a lot like EX wives. That's why they're EX's. Not worried about Nick @ all. Rumors now the AD Gene Smith is talked about as becoming the PAC-12 commish. IMO that's a good thing. They can have him. He's more about making money for the college at the players/fans expense, which sucks cause it's NOT the NFL like he thinks it is. Uni's listen though and want that cause it's all about the money. Off season now and to be quite honest with Covid? Not much of a sport season at all.
