I just happen to know a a rockstar who'd bend over w/his rear facing the audience shred his guitar between his legs and blow the seam outta his rear end EVERY time. SOOOOO, after every show that ONE guy NO ONE liked got to use one of these to seam his pants together. Kinda like when they first came out w/the Goodyear blimp cameraman. That ONE GUY no one liked got to ride in the blimp. Yeppers, he was gone for the day but he got to ride in the blimp for 4 minutes of glory during that event. Think about it and quit laffin!
  3. Bit of runnin around in the hood this morning. Weatherman said a chance of sporadic showers. Nothin mentioned about a 30 minute downpour that had me thinkin about building an arc. Picked up a pair of Hertz MPX165 speakers for the OLD Nissan's rear deck since the older daughter pointed out how great the car stereo sounded. NOT! She's a 2-Pac kinda girl anyway. Blah. Thought about doing the install myself cause it's a simple switch. Figured I'd either get stuck in the trunk or a neighbor would walk by, see me and slam the deck lid shut. By the time someone found me in this heat I'd be all over the inside of the trunk. lol A skinny midget is gonna do it tomorrow for $40. Works for me. lol Thought about Focals all the way around but heck I normally cruise w/no radio anyway. Blah. Can do it all in the house. Why waste the money? lol
  4. Those two are always the bomb together. Ex and I sat Row 1 center for him once. He had some flowerd button up shirt on and his gut was hangin out. She made it a point to tell me I'd look just like him if I were up there. Should have spotted that MAJOR red flag then. lol My thoughts though on your song selection? Just a shade above mediocrity. Yuk, yuk, yuk! If I buy one shoe I ALWAYS buy the other. Gotta step that game up brother or you'll be "Walkin the Dog" next! 😂 😂
  5. @Mark Swearengin you still alive? Just wondering about your back AND your thoughts. Inquiring minds wanna know!
  6. First I'd heard it was in the RIP thread here. Just crazy. That leaves Don Henley and Bernie Leadon as the remaining two. Last I heard Bernie was living in Nashville and his son had or maybe still has a great club down there but that was years ago. Who knows now. Sad though cause Randy contributed so much to so many just like they all do. Sad to hear for sure.
  7. That's totally insane to hear. This stuff is getting nuts. Sad. RIP! I mean it came from Felder but I STILL had to look it up. That leaves Henley and Bernie Leadon who's living in Nashville last I heard. His son has/had one of the best clubs in the Nashville area. Can't think of the name of it right now. Had it all workin in there though. And people keep saying this isn't the Eagles last tour. Amazing. Just sad to hear.
  8. I'll just leave this right here since it seems you only befriended the dog... I know you're friend killed it up there. 😂
  9. Gonna toss this in just cause I've seen them. Ahhhhh mazing! Think that shot is lookin out his back door if my memory serves me correctly. Day at a time and heal George. More than ya know are thinkin of ya.
  10. Hey @ClaudeJ1 I did the SAME thing walkin to school. Maybe a mile but my lil Emerson tansistor sister was thrown together w/some sort of headphones. They ALL laffed at me but I was havin the last laff. Told ya we were related you just dived in the deep end of it all and never came up. Look at you now. Case closed! I eventually found a truck inner tube complete w/Big Cat Malt Liquor or a Lil Kings and floated around in the pond havin visions! Sometimes in cut off sometimes nekkie. Depended on the menu for the day! 😂 I got your back big fella! 😂😎
  11. Not at all but my mom loved them hence the piano lessons. Never listened to either of them actually. I was a kid with a bike and a love for music so when a Gulf gas station opened a block a way I went lookin for a job. They didn't have anything for a kid to do but since it was their grand opening they were giving away some FREE albums if you bought so much gas or had work done on your car. You remember that I'm sure. I saw 5-6 boxes sitting there opened up for the give aways. Never heard of any of em either but I wanted IN somehow when I saw that and the owners knew it cause I was lookin at em all. They said hey we've got some flyers you wanna ride around and put 'em on cars under the wiper blade? Yea buddy I WAS their MAN. I ran the gamit and the hospital was right across the street. SCORE! I also had a paper route so I put the flyers in the papers when I rolled 'em. Those two guys were gonna give me one of each but that wasn't the deal. I just wanted ONE for some reason. A Tommy Dorsey album of my own. I'd heard of him. That thing got played every day til it went into a pile when I started buying Motown. Still have it here and someday I'll dig it back out. Thanks for the memory cause it's a darn good album.
  12. Sounds like you got wet and the toads are singin in the rain. Would be nice if every place out there got some rain from the sound of things. Hot and dry or toads? i'd take the toads.
  13. Sure hope it stays small. It's getting crazy everywhere. Sad to see imo. About 87 here in Duckburg and IF we're lucky we'll get some rain. Fronts kinda slidin a few miles north of us but we'll see. Humidity is off the charts so maybe. Then right back up there. Yup, NWS just issued a severe thunderstorm warning but it's just sunny and warm now. Catching this guy next Wednesday night. Kickin back a bit in my old age but the song applies. lol
  14. @JohnJ Yea, remember to give it a couple minutes before you walk over and sit where I was sitting. The micro chip with the good songs on it is in the bananna peel stuffed between the slats on the bench just like always. Don't make me find an emoji for that one tough guy! 😂 Don't feed him John. You KNOW how he is... 😂 💪like bull. He's also a master at thread crapping. 😂
  15. @JohnJ I watched the entire thing and enjoyed it but never picked up on the gum. lolol His turn in the barrel today kinda maybe. lol
  16. Shhhhh @JohnJ. We ALL know how he is by now. It's those lil thingys he picks up on that the rest of us take for granted. 😂💪😂
  17. We're all starting to sound like a gaggle of old geezers. Remember when ya heard "old" ppl talkin about how great Guy Lombardo and Libarace were and scoffed? Sounds like we're all in the on deck circle waitin our turn to bat. lol "All in all, you're just another brick in the wall."
  18. @MicroMara been there, done that, got the t-shirt AND the coveted bumper sticker! The struggle is real the older you get. Keef Richards ain't got nuttin on me! Gotta have goals somehow. lol

Oh Imma a reading and smirkin just a tad. Thing with me is I've always looked for that "easy" fix for diabetics. Youngest daughter was a baller while in college and at 28 she's still rock solid. Drops a 5k and just breaks a sweat and I look at a quarter mile oval here in the hood knowing I wouldn't make it 50 yards. The past couple years I've started watchin what goes into the pie hole. Something I should have done 20 years ago when I found out "why" I felt like crap. Today, I'd like to think I'm eating better but there's always work to do to keep that A1C in check. That's the crazy thing about it all. Afib surfaced during my divorce so had a couple ablations done and now on the 4th pacer which isn't good when you have half a heart left to play with. Enjoying the read but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Still preachin I'm gonna out live Keef but that remains to be seen. lol Enjoying the read though and agree w/the thoughts in many ways. Thanks for the enlightenment cause in many ways it's uplifting. Goals, gotta have goals! ALL endocrinologists should be required to go to Army Drill Sgt school then they can lock heels and take no prisoners. The good ones are hard to find in the "system."
  20. Looks like some rain tomorrow evening around here but then right back up into the low 90's give or take 5 degrees. Youngest daughter was even whining a bit the other day about the Phoenix temps. Guess they're baking bread in the mailboxes. Throw it in, close the door and it's done in 4 hours.
  21. Just finished this play up by Nils Lofgren and it's a great lp. Well put together by one of the best in the business. 40 years and just a guy in the band. Course the band is Springsteen so there's that. It's smooth, slick w/great solo vocals and darn impressive imo. It's over before you know it. Check it out and you make the call.
  22. @Marvel I'm seeing this in 1971 where they played w/Joe and the James Gang, which makes perfect sense to me. James Gang, The Paul Butterfield Blues Band at Arie Crown Theater in Chicago, IL, USA Friday September 10, 1971. I KNOW I brought this album back w/me cause it's the first one of theirs I had. We ALL brought 'em back cause free is always good! Their version of "Spoonfull" is killer. Perhaps it was ready for release in September and dropped at sometime early 72. Dunno. Looks like the theater is still there and open. I'm sure it's been renovated since then but it all sounds about right to me. Did a lot of road trips following Joe and the gang so there's that. Now I did check something else on google after I got to thunkin a minute. Joe left the James Gang "in late 1979" so maybe Joe was there or maybe he wasn't. I honestly can't remember but the James Gang continued to play for a couple years AFTER Joe left. I may have loaded up because even though Joe was gone MANY of us were family with the Gang and continued to follow them. Dunno. That's my story and I'm stickin to it! lolol
  23. @Marvel nope that wasn't the place. When you said it was open I wondered. I was thinking there were seats but an open area in front of the stage where they marched around. I just checked the Golden Butter lp I got that nite and it was an Elektra release from 72, which was after that place you went to closed. You lucked out again we're not related! 😂
