  1. Congradulations on your first real post Mari. Yeah downlaod that patch. NOW.
  2. I was unaware you could put carpet spikes on the RSW. I don't think it has screw holes on the feet, does it? (too lazy to walk 5 feet, lift it up and look)
  3. Found this on the Circuit City website. This says it all folks. "Reviewer: juk from hawaii 0 out of 1 found this review helpful worth every dime i alwayz like the bose system i like movie affect you can get in your own living room with out going out " http://www.circuitcity.com/display_review.jsp?c=1&b=g&OID=54523&catoid=-10041&begin=10#reviewtop I wont even begin to rant and rave, i really dont have to.
  4. I bought a piar of ESS AMT-1b speaks at a garage sale 2 weeks ago for $10. Pretty bad condition but crossovers and tweets still in good shape, should fetch me atleast $100 on ebay.
  5. Not a bad idea. I should a thought of that. looks like they are pretty well built, true they are a little shabby on the bracing, still nice.
  6. Speaking of the Bugatti Veyron, that thing has a Burmester system in it. 1001 HP and a kick *** sound system. Only $800,000.
  7. Never heard anyone called a woman for their hearing range. lol
  8. Absolutely the RB-3. I almost bought a pair of RB-3s once, but then I decided to mov eup to RB-5s and the next thing you know ive got RF-3s (Now I have RF-5s). RB-3s are great speaks though, and I would recommend them over the SB-3s. Good Luck .
  9. I was recently reading some of the theology behind audioquests cables and came across their claim that cables work better in one direction than the other. Ive heard this claim before and really dont believe it has any truth behind it. First of all doesnt this defy the basic laws of physics? Besides the current moving through the cable is constantly switching directions, so how could one direction be better than another? Just for the hell of it I decided to test this. I unhooked one of my speakers, flipped the mono switch and played a few songs. After listening to both directions several times, It seemed to me the first direction sounded a little bit better especially in the bass. But hell I think Im imagining things. Anyway, anyone have any sort of logic in which a cable could perform better in one direction? Thanks.
  10. Sounds like my room. Yeah small rooms suck. Nuttin you can do, except in your case find another dealer. Good Luck.
  11. That sounds just like em. I did some searching and apparently they are still in business, Making a very similiar speaker. Must have done something right.
  12. Ive heard good things about Philips. Make some nice stuff. Good Luck. Oh yeah, and what the crap minnmale???? Is it realy neccesary to belittle someones opinion or aspirations becuase of age or lack of fund or prehaps a compilation of both?
  13. I picked up a pair of these ugly children at a garage sale for $10. Pretty bad shape, but they do have planar tweeters that both work. I took em apart, crossovers appear fine, woofers are shot. Apparently they were made in 1977. Anyone have any info about these for me??? The tweeters might be worth some $$$$$$. There are some similiar ones on ebay for around 2 or 3 hundred. thanks.
  14. I agree it dosent look that great in the picture, but photographs rarely do justice. As far as building the amp itself, i imagine your gonna encounter some difficulties, but hell youve already got half the parts, i would go for it.
  15. I helped an aspiring muscician once, oh wait no, no I didn't.
  16. You see I would, but that would require me to: Option A. find my camera, take pictures(straining on the index finger), get them developed onto a CD, and finally load them from the CD to the internet. Option B. Go spend $$ I dont have on a digital camera. Option C. Write an aggrivatingly long post about my possible options and do neither, promising to do one of the above one day in the near to incredibly distant future. And Option C it is. Like I said i shall do it one day. But until this illustration will have to suffice: NAD C521 Yamaha TX-400U Yamaha C-45 Yamaha M-4 There that should do it. Oh yeah, and ill probably get on AIm tonight. Hope your on. Bye.

  18. Ahhhhhhhh. back to the endless bliss of general questions. A place where all of us can gather to post our questions not pertaining to any specific other area of the form. like...is there a god? just kiddin. No please answer that. I hope no one even reads this epitome of rambling psuedo-intelligent banter. good night.
  19. Exactly what i was thinking man. Except for the cabin part. This is uncool. If it is the webmasters attempt at qualshing irrelivant questions, its really not gonna work. I will miss general questions though. Maybe we should just use the powered subwoofer sectionas a general questions, as they are the coolest component. Or maybe the all powerful webmaster will bring general questions back. I sure hope so.
  20. Very nice man. Ive got RF-5s too. Great Speakers. If it is at all possible it would be a vast improvment to move your rf-5s out from their snugg surroundings. Thats really gonna criple them. If you could get am out and farter apart and maybe toed in, i promise you will notice a difference. Good Luck.
  21. That dosnt sound good man. Hope you get it working.
  22. Pitbulls by far. NO contest. They would ownzor that tigers ***.
