  1. Klipsch doesn't have any online dealer officially..... they ban every single one as they can. The only thing you can do..... drive to the dealer and get them in once. Sometimes I don't understand why......... majority leans towards selling every single thing online to save the reseller/store's costs but Klipsch blocks this huge market. Most of my room's stuff came from internet directly(only some Klipsch speakers are not...... I went all the way to Manhatten then they ship all the way back to here...). Even my laptop backpack calculator..... except the foods in the fridge
  2. Congrats for another step for better sound(another trap? I wish I fell into that too ) BTW what's wrong with NAD? This is like second or third time I've heard people have NAD here
  3. Lol get a theater and shoot for some movies. Get some gears that you desire your local theater had but they never got it Then sure open to the public and earn another 1,000,000
  4. Try the old trick, place the sub to your listening position and walk around the house. Sometimes some corners don't work very well...... I just moved my sub to another side last weekend even I moved out from a corner to middle of 2 corners

I can hardly read this at 130 am
  6. Very nice deal By the time you have money for another pair of RB-5........... get rid the RC-3II and you will have identical 6speakers........... I'm waiting for that for my own system too
  7. Hope you get well soon Btw the scar is HUGE........... the doctor must have done something else for ease his anger for missing TV shows..... well just kidding.... perhaps older method of removal surgery and not yet to be so advanced. If they do really careful enough........ removal of appendix will have only a quarter sized scar on your belly close to the right side(where your appendix located)

Only other thing to do would be smash the plastic cabinet around them. Also, I think the tweeters are already blown, and the drivers are about 2.5-3 inches. Like I said earlier...POS. I'm just not sure whether its worth the effort to take them apart. Otherwise I would probably build a new cabinet and combine the two into one speaker. ---------------- Get them blown and get a pair of Klipsch would be your choice

My guess is that the outlet on the back wall is on the opposite phase of the power as the rest of the system, & that is causing the hum. ---------------- I tried to use cheater plug before but it wasn't working. My room's 4outlets seem cannot be cheated....
  12. RW-12, SVS PB1, 20-39 or even 16-46 would be within the budget RSW-12 sell around 1000 in market price..... really hard to find any lower than 900 or even 800
  13. Hi guys, I just moved the sub to the back of the room and it starts to hum again because lack of noise filtration. Is there any surge protector that's cheap enough for just filtration? Any slots is fine(I just need one for the sub, nothing else connected to the outlet). I don't wanna spend like a hundred on one single output surge(hella I'm broke after months of hunting). Thanks

The music doesnt seem as harsh and more natural. ---------------- My RB5 started as low and muffle....... like you speak in the comfortor. I don't really remember how do they get to the peak...... maybe after a week or two, I put them on with lots of music as I was awake. Anyway no way for 2minutes and 1 interval
  15. Moon, Finally decided it after the experiments on switching the speakers around? Really a great deal for someone who just bought RF-7 and RC-7 but broke after that(I've read like at least 3 of them came up this before).
  16. Elite 53TX/55TXi??? I don't read too much about Yammy.............. for HK there's AVR7200(actually this lies on 2000msrp range but now it's $800 on streets) The Denon 3805 would be nice for it's touch screen remote.... I saw several guys sell their 3805 as 2nd hand already..... I don't know is that not good or they just buy it for comparing the sound. For $700 range..... common comments are 3803 blows 53TX away when 53TX wasn't calibrated with it's auto MCACC, and 53TX blows 3803 after it calibrated. I'd stick with 53TX in this situation(pressing several buttons for auto clibration isn't a hard job)
  17. ---------------- On 3/27/2004 4:01:39 PM Juba310 wrote: I dont think the speakers would have a 2 minute break in period... isnt that way too short? ---------------- It breaks in more and more after 2minutes for mine........ If 2minutes as an interval..... let's say...... 200+ audible break in intervals for my RB5
  18. Congrats you got your speakers . Time to push rest of the speakers out and place them into ref 35 series

AVS just gives me some feelings that they don't welcome to noobs(like me). Just ignore their questions sometimes Just wander around Klipsch forum or HTforum
  20. The sub won't cost you more than a quarter even you leave it in standby mode for a month
  21. If you don't need to bring the laptop back and forth between classes and dorm, think about Inspiron 8600. Nothing beats it's cheap 9600 pro mobility+ P-M (if you accept Radeon over geforce at this moment). If you just want Geforce........ think about Toshiba Tecra series, they claim it is business line but I don't understand why business line has P-M 5400rpm hdd and Geforce5600 and not saying it's for gaming as well . If you need to bring it back and forth, may be take a look into Dell Latitude M300 series. Look out for the laptop's hdd is either 4000rpm or 5400rpm, 5400rpm boosts like roughly 20% performance for your laptop(if you just dump the hdd once you get that and upgrade to 7200rpm hdd, then ignore this) I've Toshiba Tablet PC myself...... nothing beats you can flip your laptop and write on the screen during the class when you need to draw or write some equations
  22. As the term recieve the signal.......... it means that the sound track gives some signal to the sub. It's not turning it on as you turn the reciever unit on with sub's existed like DD 5.1 or DTS. They must throw some signals to the sub in order to let it on. The easier way is keeping the sub on as you turn the system on. As in some dramas they don't need sub and the music enhancement needs a second or two bass signal, it'll be really annoying for let it on and off or missed some sound.
  23. did you stick your speakers to wall without leaving it breathing spaces? Except the center speakers both front you have to leave around 10inches to let it reflect the sonud(remember this is 2way speakers). Try to play around with the large/small settings. HK's reciever is tend to be warm. If you don't like it's warmth, you can say that is muddy. And people also complained CD replay sections are quite weak in this reciever, maybe you should try some DVDs via digital signals.
  24. Take a look in Pioneer VSX 45........ don't forget this $700 range MCACC equiped reciever
