Doc, I have been trying to get my parents to buy a set of quintets instead of a bose system for a while now. What is the set you have? Just 5 quintet speakers? Do you have a sub and a cernter channel? I would possibly be interested depending on what you have. Let me know RJB
  2. Ok, I got the left speaker installed with the wire and everything. That one is all cool. It was hard as hell, but I got it done. The second speaker is on the wall that goes to the outside of the house. Right now I just have the speaker wire run under the trim and then up the wall. I want to get the wire for that one in the wall as well, but with my vaulted ceiling I can not get access to that wall from the attic. The ceiling is part of the roof, and I can not get to that wall to drill the hole to get the wire down the wall. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do? If I can get the wire to the speaker I can definitely get it down to where my jack is. So any suggestions on what to do? RJB
  3. Just try to get the sub and the R & L working. Then add the rest once you have done that. If they don't work test them on a different PC. That would be my advice. Also see if the sub is really hot. I have seen that happen before where the sub gets really hot and the speakers didn't work, but the headphone jack did. Just trouble shoot that way. RJB
  4. Hey all, Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to approach an interview? I get good job interviews and then I freeze up when I get there. They ask me a question and then go totally blank. Can anyone give me some advice? RJB
  5. I have a set of synergy speakers right now. They are not for sale and I live in Missouri, so I was just wondering what exactly you were looking for. I have the SB-3 monitor package that comes with a center surrounds R & L front and a 10" sub. I just out the rears up and the package together sounds very nice. I just wish I had money to upgrade now! Anyway...just checking on what you were actually looking for. RJB
  6. I just graduated this past May and I miss college a little. I don't miss the classes and the school work, but I miss the free time I had and the time I had off on breaks and what not. I was in actual shape and I could work out whenever I wanted. It was great, but that time is gone. Now the play time is over and it is time to work. Stay in school as long as you can! RJB
  7. Moon, How do they sound now without the klipsch? RJB
  8. Has anyone heard about this? Regal Cinemas, the worlds largest cinema operator, understands exactly how important high-quality sound is to its customers. Following a comprehensive shootout, or extensive product comparison, conducted at Malcos Majestic theater in Memphis, Regal Cinemas signed an agreement with Klipsch to supply professional cinema loudspeakers for 1,500 new auditoriums across the U.S. Has anyone been to one of these theaters? I was just wondering what the sound was like. I bet it is amazing! RJB
  9. Hey night, You need to think about what you just said a little bit. This is not a ***** forum. It is a place to come and get help on things. If you would have tried to hook them up in the first place and discovered that they did not work, someone in here could have figured out that it was a sound card issue. You need to relax a bit and appreciate what you have. Your wife got you something great and you are going to just return it because if your own personal issue? You need to appreciate things and your wife a little more. Hell, I wish my wife would be so generous as to get me something like that. Just think a little before you mouth off. Don't be so cheap either...your wife wasn't, so you need to get with the times. Get a new sound card and discover how good of a product you have! Just idea.... RJB
  10. What pound magnet does it have? RJB
  11. It must be a damn good beer to turn down sex.
  12. I ended up getting some monster speaker cable. I saw it for a good price and I could not pass it up! RJB
  13. Does the sub get really hot? I had a problem with my pro medias and the sub was getting so hot you could not even touch it. I had to send them back and get a replacement. Other than that, check your cable to the sub and check the cable to the PC. RJB
  14. Kick it! LOL.... My suggestion would be to check all the wire connections again. Is there any other way that you could test the speakers? Plug them into something else and see if they work. Try using a different cable. RJB
  15. Does anyone know a good in-wall speaker wire that I can use? I really don't want anything to expensive, but something decent to where I can have good performance. Can anyone help? RJB
  16. LOL....no one is cocky here....
  17. That is quite the combo. Sounds like you hit the jackpot!
  18. Cool, I will have to look into HALO. Has anyone heard or played Unreal Championship?
  19. Doesn't anyone know of any mounting bracket or where I can get one?
  20. Jas, Maybe you can look up the HO from Radio Shack! LOL....J/K You can still con some girl into giving you a kiss. Just grab'em and plant one on her.
  21. Kain, I had this same problem when I was in school. you are in college right? Well...I guess that really doesn't matter, but the thing that helped me was the library. I had a certain place that I always went to and studied there. I made myself go no matter how bad I wanted to play on the net or watch a movie or do anything besides study. Plus you have to keep your goal in mind. Whether it is graduating from HS, or College you have to stive for that goal. It means making some sacrafices sometimes, but that is what life is all about. The best way to study (for me anyway) is to go to a quite place where it is just me and the books. Focus all your attention on the books and nothing else. Also on the paper thing, the best thing to do is to work on it a little each night. I used to procrastinate so bad that I had to pull and all nighter just to finish a paper. I learned to work on them little by little and then you might still have an hour or so left, but that is better than 20 or more. Know what I mean? So stay away from the net and the movies and all the distractions. Find a well lit area and go there no matter how bad you don't want to. You will see the changes come test time. Good luck! RJB
  22. LOL..... That is all there is to say about that. That must have been a site. If it were me I would have probably just walked out with the damn thing and then got on their website and reported them. Free stuff never hurts! RJB
