SOLD: Hi All, Gloss Black La Scalas with Bob Crites' XOs (A-4500), Drivers (A-55G), Tweeters (CT-120), and new gaskets. The cabinets are gloss black and are in good shape for their age. These speakers sound fantastic with my Heathkit monoblocks or even the CJ SS amps. I am in the DC area and moving up to KHorns. Thanks.

Here is my pair of 70th Anniversary La Scala II They are powered by a 5wpc custom EL85 based tube amplifier built by Bob Getchell in Brownsburg, IN out of parts from an old Sears "Silvertone" Hi-Fi console. I'm using a Young DSD DAC as a digital audio source with a HIFI PC to manage the audio. The Turntable is a Stelvio by Gabilier Audio out of Colorodo and is equipped with a Tri-Panar tonearm. It's powered by a Teddy Prado external supply. The Pre-Amp is a tubed Aria WVX. -
I just received and connected a TechnicalPro (tpro.com) 1000W per Stereo Receiver/Power amp, and it works great EXCEPT for the very annoying 60Hz HUM!! Back connections And I CANNOT trace WHY!! Power connections, 3 wire grounded Any ideas? Seems to be generating IN THE AMP which to me is incredulous! I mean, it's a cheap amp so I figured meh! I'd give it a try for a while, but never expected THIS! :-( I'm stymied! And WITHOUT MUSIC via my La Scalas!! :-( John Kuthe...

After a long personal battle I have finally fit a set of amazing cherry veneered La Scalas into my 2 channel system and am showing it off. I hope for feedback. Thank you all for your input early in this process!

https://lasvegas.craigslist.org/ele/5978009102.html No affiliation but this guy is on the Emotiva forum and he let me know he is selling these. He moved into a smaller house and needs to free up some space. Seems fair

I'm just asking for someone's opinion on the value of two brand new 1970s La Scalas still in their original shipping boxes. I'm undecided whether to sell them and need some guidance. I picked them up at the factory in Hope Arkansas about 40 years ago and they've been kept in storage since then. I believe the cabinets are unfinished birch.

HI EVERYONE FIRST TIME HERE. NOT SURE IF I AM EVEN GETTING THROUGH. I AM THE PROUD OWNER OF SOME LA SCALAS I BELIEVE TO BE FROM LATE 80'S EARLY 90'S THEY HAD THE AL TYPE X OVERS. I JUST PUT NEW CRITES A/4500 AND CT 125 TWEETERS. WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP FOR THEM K55. IF I CAN MAKE THESE SPEAKERS A LITTLE SMOOTHER I WILL BE IN HEAVEN. STILL SOUND A LITTLE THIN AND SLIGHTLY BRITE ON SOME RECORDINGS. I AM USING A MCINTOSH MC 225 ( LUV IT ) MCINTOSH MX110Z, SONY XA5400ES, THORENS TD 145. I WOULD WELCOME ANY THOUGHTS. THANKS, TODD
