Klipschfoot Posted December 20, 2008 Share Posted December 20, 2008 I was shifting some stuff around and, upon looking at a Klipsch speaker label, wondered if there was any other audio company where the inspector and tester sign their work. I regard this as a matter of great pride. Not that I would ever call out the inspector or tester if I should ever find a manufacturer defect, I just think it is classy and certainly shows some product differentiation. jt1stcav Posted December 21, 2008 Share Posted December 21, 2008 It's wasn't an inspection signature, but I know Bob Carver had a habit of signing some of his components, mostly his Sunfire amplifiers...one in particular might have been an actually Signature Series, I'm not sure...like PWK did to some of his loudspeakers back in the day. Steve_L Posted December 21, 2008 Share Posted December 21, 2008 In '71 the Stanton cartridge I bought for my United Audio Dual 1218 came with a signed inspection and freq run from the tester. It all came in a blue felt lined beautifully brushed aluminum jewelry case and it was under $150. (About a weeks pay for me at the time.)
