mobile homeless
At one point, MagneQuest and Gordon Rankin of Wavelength Audio were involved in this project. From the looks of it, Gordon left! Not so sure about the Asethetics of this monster. Youre right, it looks dangerously close to a horrifying cross between an espresso machine and a 1959 space heater. kh Phono Linn LP-12 Vahalla / Linn Basic Plus / Sumiko Blue Point CD Player Rega Planet Preamp Cary Audio SLP-70 w/Phono Modified Amplifier Welborne Labs 2A3 Moondog Monoblocks Cable DIYCable Superlative / Twisted Cross Connect Speaker 1977 Klipsch Cornwall I w/Alnico & Type B Crossover system one online / alternate components / Asylum Listing f>s> This message has been edited by mobile homeless on 02-09-2002 at 06:14 PM

mike stehr
My buddy has a Espresso maker he'll sell ya for 5 grand, even has 4 heads. That ART DECO look isn't terribly appealing,IMO.
Cornwalled
Wow, I agree with all of you, that was my first impression too. I said, hey, that looks like a coffee maker, and I hadn't read any of your follow up posts at all! All of us agreeing on it's beany asthetics must mean something here. (some kind of hidden message here?) Or just bad design? lynnm
I like the look. A bit like the early diesel freight engines which looked a bit like the steamers and well errr.....umm something else. The performance of these beasts will determine their worth. If they sound as good as their heritage implies they should attract a lot of well heeled purchasers. ------------------ It is meet to recall that the Great Green Heron rarely flies upside down in the moonlight - (Foo Ling ca.1900)
