Has anyone had any experience with the ALK Engineering upgrade for the Klipsch "A series" balancing network found in Klipschorn, La Scala and Belle Klipsch?

I have a pair of 10 year old La Scalas and wondered if

this upgrade would be just that. An upgrade! Thank you in advance for any suggestions, recomomdations or feedback.

Do a search in the Archives.... there is enough discussion on ye olde ALK crossovers to keep your eyes spinning for days. Many, if not most, are very happy with the ALKs. Some prefer the original oil cap model for the natural sound and added warmth.

For natural sound and added warmth, the ALK crossover is far superior to oil caps. The difference in clarity is astounding, and they are very musical. I have heard the difference, and it is significant. You don't have to take my word for it, though, or anyone else's, for that matter. Al will give you a money-back guarantee; if you don't like them, send them back. Don't count on sending them back, though.

I've got ALK networks on my two Cornwalls, one Belle, and two Klipschorns. My oldest daughter won't get braces, but they sure sound great! (just kidding, folks).

Seriously, they really are something tangible. I second Hardhead's comments wholeheartedly.

I'll pipe in here and add to the praise of Al's networks. I "only" have 1 pair that I had put in my Belle's first, then moved them to my Khorns.

I am quite pleased with their performance!

Thank you all for your positive feedback.

Now that I have heard all the wonderful advantages

the ALK "A series" upgrades have done for your Klipschs, has anyone experienced anything less?

Is there anything else I should be addressing or other speaker upgrades that I should know about?

Serjan, as far as experiencing anything less, I think the answer is "rhetorical" in the sense that "before upgrades, everything is less." What I mean with due respect is that we're working with great Klipsch products that have aged some, and the solutions available now really move the line of scrimmage downfield a piece.

Other than the ALK's and having all drivers functioning, I'd say you're "good to go!"
