Jeff Matthews
For all you DP fans, their first album was called "Deep Purple." It is rarely seen, and you never hear the songs on the radio - ever. But it is a really cool album. I highly recommend it for DP afficionados.

BigStewMan
Ever heard of a guy named Terry Reid? He is the guy that Blackmore wanted as a singer to replace (can't recall the dude's name) that the band had just fired. Anyway, Reid turned them down. As history played out, not only did he turn down singing for Deep Purple, Terry Reid had previously been asked by Jimmy Page to sing for his new band (which became Led Zepplin). Reid turned him down and recommended a friend named Robert Plant. I wonder if Terry Reid regrets either of those decisions now?
