Boxx
Not only do we eat blackeyed peas, we eat saurkraut on New Years day. Our friends from Ohio, that have migrated to Texas, started us on this tradition.
oldtimer
I love black eyed peas. Anytime is a good time. I always cook them southern style while my ex-neighbor cooked them west texas style. Sooo...how do you prepare them West Texas style? I got's to know. No bacon/or ham hock in hers, and the spices are more ranch style (chilli powder I suspect).
