BigStewMan
Okay, I fell for it. I was looking for a good debate regarding semiconductor device fabrication. Now, I'll have to walk down to the neighborhood pub and see if anyone wants to talk about String Theory. Anyway, take it easy my friend, and happy new year to you as well. DU73
funny - i dont even have any idea what semiconductor device fabrication is.. though i must say I do know a little bit about the 'string theory' is there a parallel universe where gravity can move between or what... Groomlakearea51
You guys really had me fooled! I thought I would be enlightened by another semiconductor device fabrication! Look like it's a fabrication!! [H]
thebes
Not this again. I could have sworn that I have stated here numerous times, that while the approach used by Intel is good for what is it, you really can't get serious about semi-conductor fabrication without your own basement diffusion furnace. And for the last time, silicone is just a fancy name for sand. I get mine from the main beach at Cancun. Really good stuff that won't even stick to your hands. I like to turn out wafers shaped like little vacuum tubes. For some reason they sound better in my solid state gear. Guys you really haven't lived til you make your own. Sure toxic chemical disposal is a challenge, but I pour mine over the fence into my neighbors yard and nobody's noticed yet. Oh, I'm really partial to the Japanese furnaces. Just don't let the wife catch you sneaking this into the basement.
