Recommended Posts

there is a local craigslist offering but "both passive radiators are pushed in to some degree".

will such an event really affect the sound?

is that an easy fix for a newbie like myself?

if there are no cracks in the radiators, do i care?

since i haven't figured out how to post an image, i can email anyone who is interested a pix of one of the pushed in radiators.

last item of interest, they are ugly black-so very sad-[*-)]

thanks for any and all thoughts you care to share.

smalltalk I just bought a pair of chorus II's thats had a small hole in the passive radiator. I cant hear any distortion or a difference in sound what so ever as of now. Altough I am pushing them wih minimum wattage.. - 90 watts. If its just the dust covers pushed in dont worry about it, I dont think passive radiators have voice coils. You should be safe buying these...BTW black is not an ugly color..as a matter of fact its highly desirable now days with LCD monitors and fitting with most equipment

Copied from another posting here by Bill H.

According to http://www.klipsch.com/na-en/products/forte-ii-overview/ the Forte II was made from '89 to '96, and since the SNs are nine digits long I make them to be January 5 1992. (005=Jan5, 29=92 for reasons I still don't understand [;)] )
