Replacing sub amp.

I have had this sub for a long time, and i tried all of the cheap fixes when it first started to hum, and nothing has helped. I figured with the age of the sub then it must be the amp going bad. It's not real bad yet , but i can hear it hum when the room is quiet. Instead of buying a new sub i thought i would put a new amp in it, and maybe with a bigger amp i might get a little more output. Thanks.

I'd be a little careful in replacing the amp with a non-OEM one. Factory amps many times have specific tuning and controls tailored for the woofer. Other amps, especially those with over twice the power of the OEM amp, might work but they may damage the woofer if you're not careful.
