rockwell
Hi, I have a pair of Walnut Cornwalls ( model #CDR15, serial #2J117) and one of the tweeters has failed. I think these were built in the early 70's and I was hoping that original replacements might still be available for the tweeter and/or crossover. If this is not an option can the tweeter or crossover be rebuilt? Does anyone know the part number of the tweeters and crossovers? I really like these speakers and the music does'nt sound nearly as good with a blown tweeter. Thanks for your help, Rockwell (Jimbo)

rockwell
Thanks Mark. I checked his website and the K-77 tweeter diaphragms are no longer available. Any suggestions?
handrewmoore
Get the ct-125 tweeters from Crites, they're better than the k-77 anyhow.
handrewmoore
But, if you're dead set on keeping em original... http://cgi.ebay.com/KLIPSCH-K-77-M-HORN-TWEETERS-/370405944768?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Speakers_Subwoofers&hash=item563dea2dc0 http://cgi.ebay.com/Replacement-Tweeter-Klipsch-K-77-EV-T-35-Pair-New-/370395273068?cmd=ViewItem&pt=Speakers_Subwoofers&hash=item563d47576c
HudsonValleyNoah
neither of the tweeters that you showed (on eBay) are original for his Klipsch. His would be a round magnet (alnico) K-77. Your links are of a K-77-M (square mud mag) and Bob's ct-125's... Ironsave
Rockwell, You will be doing yourself a good service upgrading both tweeters to the Crites stuff. Absolute quality...... no doubt.[Y] Save the originals if you ever wish to sell...... Also, you may want to replace your capacitors in the crossovers. You will be amazed the difference this alone can make. (Old capacitors; 30 years plus do not work as well and dull the sound the speakers produce). I did my Heresies for $~40 and there was a significant improvement. Mr. Crites sells capacitors as well to do that...... Good Luck.
