davis419b
If your patient you can find one but it won't be an exact match. You could restore one to match or both. Seti, have you ever seen one with this type of oranate woodwork ?
kuisis
I have a 54 and a 56 I use in stereo. They sound great. One has a Stephens woofer and the other an Ev, but you really can't notice any difference, well at least I can't. They sound very good. If you do a search of 54in the garage sale section you will see them. Tom
mungkiman
Me, I love the sound of the University SA-HF mid drivers when coupled to a 500 Hz horn. I do, however, greatly prefer the sound of other University tweeters over the Mid-T driver. Nice Score! What's the challenge with the crossover? The wires should be fairly self explanatory... davis419b
I finally got a chance to clean this ole bird up. I put it in a pretty decent corner, hooked it up to a Sansui 8080 in mono and fired it up. I couldnt believe my ears with all of the original 56 year old parts it sounds bad a$$. It was strange the closer you sat to it the better the bass got and when you stood up it got even better ! Mids were very tame not harsh at all.
