mbajner
was thinking of setting something up that can easily be moved into place when needed for this. the electronics would be on some kind of cart with the receiver and dvd player. the FP would be on a table and the screen would hang off my fence. have a manual pull down 64" for the screen. speakers just set on the side of the screen. so, anybody try something like this already? cornfedksboy
The coolest thing I saw was on an older cottage house. The garage was detached and the back end of it was in the backyard. A patio connected the house to the garage and the garage had about a 4 foot eve that hung over the patio. The screen pulled down under the eve and the AV equipment was in a rack inside the garage but faced out via a window that had been removed and replaced with storm shutters. He used outdoor speakers for surround. Not sure that your configuration would allow this, but I thought it was pretty cool. Something similar could be done using a moderately sized shed. Fish
Yep, I use an Epson moviemate 62, self contained, dvd, speakers built in with lotsa ins and outputs. You can make a screen support of pvc and stretch a white tarp on it big as you want.
